Asher leaned back against the wall of the pub, content to watch the goings on around her. She had been traveling, searching out whatever information she could gather on various important peoples. Being informed was her job, her livelihood even if it almost killed her a couple of times. Like now.
Throwing her body to the side, she dodged the drunken missile of a tankard of ale. Frowning, she rubbed her hip where she had landed, ignoring the rowdy shouts around her of the growing bar brawl. Why did she always get caught up in these things? She sighed as she continued to sit under the table, out of sight and out of the way of the brawl.
It was the only benefit to her size and flexibility, she thought, as she popped up on the other side of the table in between two strangers. She sent them a brilliant and disarming smile, seeming to charm them with out words as she sat there with the group as if she totally belonged there.
Now, if only someone would stop the fight.

Alehkar was not really sure why he was here, it was definitely not his type of place. The people and creatures were hardly something he liked to be accompanied by, although a drink would be very relaxing. He walked into the tavern and let his eyes adjust to the dim lighting. There were people lounging around and seemed to be almost passing out and in one of the corners he could see a lady with two men who looked like they were about to rip each others throats out.
Great. The Daemon shook his head but the next thing he noticed was one of the guys was about to throw a punch. With a fast movement the daemon grabbed him with a harsh grip just before his hand made contact with the other. His brows furrowed and he tossed the drunkard towards the door only to have. “ Is either harming you in anyway m’lady?” The daemon’s face easily softened as he had turned his attention to the stranger amongst the squabbling.
Why did men always fight over women? Did they find it heroic? Alehkar looked back at the man on the ground just pulling himself up and shook his head in distaste. His belly was hanging out and he could barely pull his frame off the floor, and if Alehkar had no manners at all he would have laughed at the poor man. Attention swayed back to the female before him, light skyblue eyes flickering in the dark as he peered at her. Eyes scanning her to make sure she was not at all injured by one of the mongrels.

Asher arched an eyebrow as she looked at the Daemon. Huh, this was new. Someone she didn't know about. She pushed a few strands of hair off her shoulders as she watched him, violet eyes amused. "Nope, I'm fine," she said, a smile creeping over her lips.
She laced her fingers together and set her elbows on the table as the strangers around her shifted, leaving her at the table alone. Resting her chin on her interlocked fingers, she watched him with curious eyes. "Were you hoping to be a savior?" she teased lightly, eyes dancing with amusement.
Asher hadn't even been the reason the fight had started, but that was another point. She had followed a mark to the city and lost him, as dangerous as that was, but the girl liked excitement in her life, as well as a little danger. She was a spitfire, a daredevil, and a trouble magnet as far as anyone was concerned.
But she was also incredibly smart and that is what counted. If one looked close enough, they could see the cold calculations forming in her head as she memorized information about someone. As it was, she could now easily pick out the Daemon in a crowd and describe him accurately, down to the details of his clothes.

The Daemon just shrugged ever so lightly as he glanced back as the drunken people disappeared from the table. His attention shifting to the woman again. “ Actually I was trying to stop a bar fight. And I was being polite.” His words were matter-of-fact, looking down at her yet his eyes never moved from her own. “ And I am glad you are alright,” Alehkar was feeling slightly uneasy just standing there. This was not how he planned it, he was not one used to talking to anyone let alone women and the way she kept staring at him was starting to make him uncomfortable.
He was a large man, hardly a wimp and tall, almost towering over most, yet conversation and a mere stare from a woman always made him cower ever so slightly. Not that it would show, but nothing ever came from talking with strange women especially those that would hang out in a place like this. Although she hardly looked like someone that would enjoy it here.. Who knew. He was not looking to hook up, he was not looking for conversation, and he was not looking for a friend. He was looking for a drink and that was it. “You have a good night m’lady, and perhaps try to stay out of trouble.”

"Good for you," she said as she blinked and slid her eyes closed, giving him a dazzling smile.
"Although staying out of trouble may be hard. It has a tendency to be attracted to me, but oh well. Such is life," she said with a grin as she ran a hand through her hair. "If you don't like fights then the bar is never the best place to be," she pointed out before he walked away.
"Good night darling," she said, blowing him a kiss for her own amusement before she slid out of her seat and headed for the door. Of course trouble would catch up with her in the form of a large man who blocked her path to the door.
Amethyst eyes narrowed as he grabbed her arm, apparently thinking she was a hooker. Of course, her tongue would get her into trouble, if the enraged look on the man's face was anything to go by. If that wasn't obvious, the rising hand of his should have been a tip off.
As it were, the petite woman rolled her eyes, seeming to goad him on. While the hand descended, she moved, pulling her body away from his in a fluid movement that cause him to hit himself. The only problem was he was still holding her arm.
She sighed as she brought one hand up and pinched his wrist, causing him to drop her arm and she sighed. "Idiots," she muttered with a roll of her eyes.

She had a point there, getting out of trouble really did tend to follow her as he noticed when she tried to leave. The man was hardly joyous to be told off, as he watched the encounter Alehkar could not help but roll his eyes. Why was it within two minutes of him leaving her she was getting into trouble? Shaking his head from his new position at the counter, he downed three whiskeys and stood up. Maneuvering ever so swiftly to walk along side her, a dazzling grin presenting to his lips as he glanced down at her.
“Perhaps I do want to be your savior after all… or at the very least walk you home. Alehkar cringed slightly as he glanced back at the man that was glaring after him. This is what women did, they always got him in trouble, and it just seemed to always do that. But he could not just let her walk home a lone, or wherever she was going, with that large man glaring daggers after her. “If you do not mind, It would put me at ease to assure you do not get injured. And also..I am not hitting on you, So uhhh You do not need to worry about me being an idiot. Which is whom seems to be attracted to you, well from what I could see. You are a magnet for trouble.?” Alehkar started to walk, his rough voice becoming a little more quiet as he watched another man join the previous, but neither walked closer.

Asher arched an eyebrow as she looked at him, tilting her head back. She was tiny, only 5'3", but had a body to kill for which was why she attracted trouble. "I'm fine, really. Besides, the little boys won't even follow me," she said with a light laugh.
Stubborn as hell and a temper to boot. Not always a good combination, but one that always got her into and out of trouble when she needed it to. Turning her attention back to the two men in front of her, she propped a hand on her hip and cocked her hip out to the side while she pretended to examine her nails.
"I suggest you move out of my way or I will make your life a living hell," she said, her voice dropping down several degrees as a different look came over her face, promising to make good on her words.

Alehkar’s eyes widened at her sudden change in attitude, standing just slightly to her right while he looked at the big men in the doorway. Both his hands tightening into fists at his side. Wings tightening to his back as his chin tilted up. With words like that it could go either way, and apparently he was ready to fight for someone he didn’t even know.
Brows furrowing slightly as one of the men that had joined in laughed slightly, but the other big man had taken a step forward very slowly with a short grin on his face. The grin did not appease the anger in his eyes and looked almost insane about his features.
“I doubt you men would appreciate getting beat up by a woman and a daimon. Probably wouldn’t help your cred in anyway..“ Alehkar shrugged but there was a warning in his voice as well as a tint of amusement. This woman was standing her own against two men twice almost three times her side. It was an amusing sight, especially because fear was placid on their faces.

Asher laughed, tilting her head to the side as she rolled her eyes up, as if trying to organize her thoughts. She snapped her fingers, a malicious grin coming to her face as she looked at the two men again. "Carter and Jeseph. Farmers, behind on their taxes, am I right?" she asked, grinning.
"Brothers. I wonder how your wives would take it if they found out you were at the tavern sleeping around," she said idly as she watched them pale and take a step back.
She did know something about everyone, it was apparent. She tossed her hair off her shoulders as she sent them a dazzling, disarming and charming smile. Shrugging, she walked past them and they let her, watching her in amazement and with a hint of lust.
Asher was no stranger to using her body to get what she wanted and she knew after that little display, they would be watching her. Her waist length hair moved with her as she finally exited the Inn, stretching her arms up and exposing her stomach. "Well, that was less exciting than I'd hoped."

Eyebrows shot up as she spoke to the men like they were little children and they let her walk right past and out of the Inn. It was less exciting then she had hoped for? Well that was very intriguing. Alehkar stumbled for a moment before following after her and pushed through the men that were not even paying him any attention, their eyes both on her as she walked away.
“Less exciting then you wanted? So you want to find trouble? You pretty odd aren’tchu m’lady?“ He chuckled ever so slightly, his throaty laugh escaping as he caught up to her. She was tiny. Pretty. And looking for trouble. This was definitely not the type of woman he would see himself following into the dark streets with. Definitely not.
The daimon shoved both his hands in his pant pockets as he strolled along side her. “Why do you go looking for trouble? I can’t really fathom why you would want to almost get punched out by a large angry man? It does not make much sense to me..“ The naïve daimon was very much confused. Which was probably understandable.
The rustle of the bar was starting to quiet down and he was slowly walking along side a danger thrilled beautiful woman who barely stood up to his shoulders in a dark and new area. Well that was not what he had imagined his night would start off with, but then again he found that things rarely turned out how he expected it.
Alehkar glanced towards the short one next to him and cleared his throat. “You are a confusing one. That is for sure. But also very intriguing, what else do you do besides find trouble?” His head tilted to the side, golden hair falling down to cover his face slightly as he kept his attention towards her. It was probably an amusing sight, the short and petite lady standing next to a tall and large daimon whom was asking her about why she fought big men. Yeah, odd indeed.

Asher giggled and shrugged her shoulders as she pulled her hair into a fast braid. "I told you, I don't find trouble, it finds me," she said with a sly grin as she tilted her head back to look up at him. "Besides, I can't give away all my secrets, can I?" she asked with a flirty nature as she leaned up and left a kiss on his cheek.
Oh yes, she could tell he'd be fun to flirt with and maybe learn from, but that would wait for the moment. She found him cute and attractive, but that was purely physical, she never let anyone in close to her. Giving him a coy smile, she continued down the road. "Why did you choose to follow me? You could very well have left me there,..." she trailed off, not knowing his name.
She knew her game inside and out, any which direction it was flipped. That is why it was easy for her to get what she wanted when she wanted it and right now, she was interested in learning his name. And perhaps a bit more, but that would wait for the time being.

A nod was simply his response to her first words, but the kiss on the cheek caused a brief frown to cross his lips. Eyes cast down for a moment before shaking it off mentally and continuing to walk. Her question distracted him from his thoughts as he gave her a crooked grin. Shrugging his shoulders upwards as he answered.
“You seem intriguing I suppose. Your mind works in a way I am not familiar with and you seem to not mind attention. I guess I wanted to just get to know you, if that makes sense.” Alehkar glanced down for a moment as he walked. It seemed she was the type of girl that always got attention for her looks and never her thoughts. Yet it was obvious that she had a lot to show and she definitely had a lot to say.
“Besides I can’t let a lady wander through dark alleys, I would feel horrid If I woke in the morning to some bad news. Not that I do not think now that you can take care of yourself..” Which obviously she could do, especially after her little show on the way out of the inn. All the girls he had met near home were always so sweet, so nice and innocent and would swoon for any male that payed the least bit attention to her. This woman, the nameless one, seemed to like the attention but not really give a damn if everyone in the bar would be asking her out.
“What is your name? Or should I call you m’lady all night? I am Alehkar.” She knew he was hinting at learning his name, but to him it was a simple question. He did not realize she was doing minute calculations within her mind, as she seemed pretty relaxed at that point.

Asher shrugged, a flirty smile flashing over her lips as he revealed his name to her. She had a brief moment of wondering if she wanted to reveal her true name before she shook that off. A lie would suffice for the time being, she supposed. "You can call me Delilah," she said, a smile crossing her lips as she looked up at him, the lie falling smoothly.
"And you are the first to want to know what I'm thinking and not how good I am in bed," she said, watching his reaction with amusement shining in her eyes. Oh no, she didn't trust anyone enough to give out her real name, especially to someone she had picked up in a bar, regardless of their race. There were always the exceptions to every race.
"Unless of course it's a ploy to actually get me into bed with you, and this caring persona of being a white knight is merely an act and you have some deed planned that will paint you in a favorable light," she teased, the smile quirking her lips as she watched him.

The lie was not second guessed by Alehkar, after all who would lie about their name? To him it was not a big deal to give a name to someone. He could not see that someone could easily track and learn a lot about another through a simple label. A nod was given to her name.
“Well, Apparently others are idiots. As you previously said” After all the places she hung out were not the best place to look for a mind rather then a beauty. Ironically he could not deny that she was both, which was even more intriguing. The last thing had his brows shot up and a shocked expression fill his face. Alehkar stopped walking immediately as he looked at her.
The frown was present again as his features seemed to grow a bit solemn. Shaking his head of the expression as he began to walk with her again to an aimless destination. “I can assure you Delilah, that my means is not to get you into bed. And on that note I am also no white knight, as I do not have a horse or armor of any kind…The thought to bed you has not even crossed my mind, just to speak with you” His voice was even quieter and his eyes looked to his feet momentarily. The daemon looked almost wounded but it disappeared very quickly. The thought had not even crossed his mind to bed her.
“Why is it because I am not cruel to you, you are suspicious of me? He doubted she would answer it. But, a lot was told by that simple statement from her, apparently everyone she knows is only there to get her into bed. This made him a bit frustrated at the mere fact.

"Those ones are up front about exactly what they want, no questions asked," she said with a shrug. "If someone is going to be used, I'd prefer to be the one doing the using," she said with an arched eyebrow as she stopped a few paces in front of him. Turning around to face him, she crossed her arms over her chest and cocked a hip out to one side.
"Now, why are you said and depressed?" she asked, her keen eyes picking up on his movements easily. It was obvious, he didn't hide much, if anything when it came to dealing with emotions or small everyday lies that people told. If she got tired of him calling her Delilah, she'd tell him her real name. Of course, if she determined she could trust him.
"And don't tell me some bullshit that you're upset because drunkards in taverns want to bed me. They'll bed any female there because it makes them feel irresistible. I'm just glad I'm not a whore," she said, stopping short of saying what she really did to get by in the world.

He stopped walking as she turned to face him. His eyes glancing around the area that was oddly very quiet before bringing his attention back to ‘Delilah’. It was true he was not good at hiding any of his emotions, and he also was very bad at picking up others intentions or emotions as well. Not like he’s ever had experience doing either of it. One thing he was good with was vibes, to determine if a person was good or not.
“I’m not sad.“ He mumbled under his breath, doubting that she believed that in any way. “And fine, I wont tell you that.“ Alehkar shrugged and gave her a small smile before taking a step to start walking again. ”Anyways..What you do is your own business even if I don’t understand it. “

"That was a bullshit lie," she said bluntly, arching an eyebrow as she moved to let him walk past her. "You don't know anything about me, yet you've stood up for me twice, followed me out of the tavern, and act like you're trying to save the world from something. You're the one I don't understand," she said with a shrug.
She rolled her eyes and shoved a hand through her hair, a habitual gesture that pulled her hair out of the loose braid it had been in. She watched him for a moment before sighing and tilting her head back, as if she were asking the gods for strength in dealing with him.
"Why did you do all of that?"

Alehkar actually cringed at her first statement but did not respond to her curse. The daemon had stopped walking as she spoke, and bit his lower lip slightly as he listened. Brows furrowing together as he spun on his heels to face her, shrugging his shoulders in an almost helpless matter. Alehkar tried to think of a response to her question, his actions almost mimicking her as he raised a hand to push through his golden locks and moving them away from his own face.
“ I don’t know.” his voice was quiet as he seemed to think about it for a moment before the shrug returned and he turned his gaze to her again. She seemed to look almost frustrated with him, but he was not quite sure why. “I don’t know, seemed like right thing to do I suppose..” His frown disappeared briefly to a small smile that rested crookedly on his lips. Trying to just change the mood of their conversation completely with the small smile.

"You deny being a white knight, yet you play the part. You are a contradiction, Alehkar," she said, shaking her head in amusement with a smile on her lips. She wasn't upset with him, merely trying to figure him out. He was interesting to her and that usually warranted her following closely and finding out everything she could.
She stepped closer to him, invading his personal space as she tilted her head back to look up at him, her body a breath away from his. "Do you know what you want, Alehkar?" she asked, a smile quirking her lips up.
She almost rose on her toes as violet eyes met his blue ones. Hers were carefully guarded, with amusement and curiosity dancing in them to hide the rest of her emotions and insecurities. It was an imperfect mask that few could break and since she was a master at lying when she needed to, there were few that could read it.

“I just wanted to help you out.” He was muttering the words under his breath again, eyes lowering to meet hers as she abruptly moved very close to him. His senses could almost be filled by her she was so close, which caused his hands to lock to his sides. Alehkar let a frown come across his lips as he studied her face before shaking his own head and taking a step backwards.
Alehkar reached down and grabbed her hand and placed a soft kiss along her knuckles. His eyes never left hers as he thought of her question, more for the fact of studying her own then anything. A little relieved that his step back allowed him some space to breathe, think, move. With a cleared mind he answered her question. “I want.. Well right now what I want to do is walk with you, rather then stand in the middle of the road. I’m sure trouble is trying to track you down, “
There was a tint of amusement to his voice as he mockingly looked behind her to see if any big goons were coming after them. Just a black empty road was what he received. Attention moving back to her with a sheepish grin on his face. “Where were you walking too anyways Delilah? I hope you don’t’ mind me joining you also, I never really asked..” Both brows furrowed together at that thought before clearing again.
