Asher shrugged, toying with her drink before taking a sip. "I'm originally from the scattered islands, a small nomadic tribe was with whom I grew up. I was kicked out because I do not look like them," she said with a shrug, getting slightly depressed at the memories of her past and because of the alcohol in her system.
"That's about all I really remember of that. Growing up was learning to do this that and the other, do what I had to in order to survive, even if I wasn't the most amazing or the prettiest in the room," she said with a small shrug. "Most of my past is depressing anyways, so I tend not to think about it."

The frown was more then apparent between his brows as they furrowed together. Listening to her speak he almost wished he had not asked, and he could not help but have a surprised expression at her latter statement. " But your gorgeous Asher. And amazing. And as a protective daemon i shall not lie, " he laughed trying to cheer her up. Nudging her under the table playfully with his foot. "Lets not talk about our pasts, they are depressing." He took another drink from the lady that wandered over when she saw their drinks were empty. He took another drink, letting the liquior warm down to his stomache. SHe was so curious, she seemed so sure of herself, but then she spoke like that.

Asher shrugged, finishing her second drink. The third would be her last or she'd lose control over what came out of that pretty little mouth of hers. "Whatever you say, darlin," she said, a light laugh bubbling over her lips as she took a sip from her third, deciding to make this one last a bit longer.
"Besides, my job is to merely know things about other people, no one cares about my life, only my work," she said with a laugh to show she was not bothered by that at all. "I live for myself and no one else."

Alehkar wouldn’t doubt she lived for herself and herself only. Her job was probably not the safest, and he really was not one to talk.. Although he did not live a dangerous life, he did understand not trusting others. But he also did not wish his life on others, and he hated to see another in the world so alone. It was not pity he felt, that was not an emotion he knew, but frustrated. Frustrated with the world around him, frustrated at seeing such anger and stupidity and sadness. Even love was tainted by everything, if you couldn’t trust love what the hell could you trust after all. The only thing that ever really lasts is hate, the strongest emotion. Love comes and goes, but hate always remains. Forgiveness was never something people gave easily, but a broken heart they can carry on their shoulders for their lifetime.
The daemon was watching her before his attention went to his glass as he took a smaller sip. Thoughts rushing his head as he focused his eyes around the area. He left Abourno because he was sick of everything, sick of the war. Sick of the people. Sick of being confined and wasting every waking hour in depression. He was sick of the hate. He left to go out, to explore, to learn and meet people. Meeting people was the hardest, and Alehkar was definitely not the type to go out and let loose. So his plan had so far failed miserably, but perhaps he should just give in and stop being a ‘party pooper‘. Alehkar growled slightly before a grin crept onto his face and he took a bigger drink. “Lets finish and go on an adventure.”

The tiny human arched an eyebrow in response and set her own drink down, inching back just slightly at his sudden change in demeanor. "Define 'adventure', Alehkar," she said as she watched him with wary violet eyes.
His sudden change of character probably didn't bode well for the slightly drunk human, seeing as she couldn't hold her alcohol like men and against a Daemon, she was pretty much screwed either way. It was a sign that she should either get her ass out of there or she might find something interesting out. Guess what she chose?
"You do realize that I can't fly, right?"

Sudden puzzlement at her statement cause confusion to come across his face. Looking at her up and down before he laughed. Of coure she could not fly, he was so used to everyone being able to fly. He looked her up and down before shrugging. ”I see.. Well.. We’ll not fly then… And I do not know what type of adventure. Just something.. Fun. Different. I’ve never actually gone on an adventure before..” He shrugged again and looked around before finishing his last drink and nodding. Reaching out and grabbing her hand to tug playfully before leaving.
Standing outside the pub he looked up at the sky, eyes searching it before bringing his attention down to her. ”Lets.. Do something. Any ideas?”

"Nothing that doesn't involve you, me and a bed," she said with a light laugh as she ran a hand through her hair, causing the silver hoops in her ears to jingle lightly. "You're a little behind in the times, aren't you? Usually an adventure starts with going on a journey and an occasional fight," she said with a laugh as she moved down the street in a random direction.
"Danger, Treasure, Excitement, the elements of a perfect adventure," she said with a laugh. "Or you can go rescue a princess and get some love or bullshit like that," she laughed. Asher was a strange one, not believing in love or marriage or that, mostly because she had never really known it so believed she was unworthy of it and had no idea if she was capable of it.

An awkward expression went over his face at her first statement before shaking his head. Blond hair moving to cover his face before he tilted his head to the sky again. ”Well I do not know where treasure is. And I’d rather not get into trouble..I guess I’m not the best person for an adventure. And I wont sleep with you Asher. I’d rather you actually talk with me in the future..” He shrugged his shoulders but wouldn’t look at her as if thinking. What would he do for fun? A frown came over his lips before he turned and went into the bar. Grabbing a bottle of liquor from the lady and paying for it, then turning and walking out and he kept on walking.
”I do not believe in love. It’s tainted, untrue.”Alehkar said, walking past her to head down the street. Turning around and looking back at her with a lazy grin on his features. ”I’m very positive you can come up with something to do that does not involve trouble or sex.”

"You're no better than a halfling," she muttered under her breath as she shook her head, spinning around until she decided on a direction. She was a bit drunk, that much was obvious, and she was rather enjoying this, despite her constant pushing people away. Seems like she just needed someone stubborn to match her.
"Hm. Well, you've ruled out just about every possible fun adventure. Unless you want to go chase down dragons and that sort of thing," she muttered, tapping a finger against her lips. "Then of course, trouble usually finds me, not the other way 'round," she said with a laugh.
And indeed trouble did seem to find her in the way of three burly drunkards, obviously having been kicked out of a tavern and in search of another one or a fight.

Alehkar was laughing one minute before his amusement wore from his face and his eyes narrowed as he watched the three men heading there way. The Daemon muttered ”should’ve known” before moving himself to stand in front of her. His hands tightening on the neck of the liquor bottle. His whole body tensed as he kept his eyes on the three of them and sized them up.
They were just humans and their walking was staggered so they would be slow and disoriented. He couldn’t help but laugh in his head at the idea of trouble actually finding them with Asher not starting it. So he supposed, she was actually right at it following her around.

"Oi, you know you don't have to fight them," she pointed out dryly, staring at his back with an arched eyebrow. Huh, she really was short, she mused as she stepped to stand next to him. "You can always walk away. Not everything is a confrontation, now come on," she said as she tugged on his arm before turning and crossing the street to the other side, away from the drunkards.
She ran a hand through her hair as she looked up and down the street for a minute, deciding to head south, away from the center of the city into the outskirts. Asher had decided she was done with the city and was going to leave, if the daemon wanted to follow her, then so be it.

Laughter bubbled from his lips at her words as she tugged on his arm and began crossing the street. Alehkar followed with ease but kept his eyes back on the other guys who paid them little to no attention. Eyebrows rose up as they began walking south towards the outskirts of the city limits. Slight confusion came across him but he followed along side her anyways and took another sip of his liquor bottle dully.
“Where we heading? To an adventure?” It was almost a childish grin that came to his face at the thought, eyes moving back to look at where the three men had been standing. His hand rose up and pushed his hair back and out of his face before being shoved into his pocket. ”Are you taking me to an alleyway to assault me?” Another light laugh came to his lips as he shook his head at his own amusement. Yeah. Alcohol is great.

Asher laughed, shaking her head as she pushed some unruly, wavy strands of hair back behind her ears, folding her hands behind her head as she walked. "Maybe, or maybe I'm drunk enough that I think going this way is a good idea," she said with a laugh. "You are welcome to stop following me at any point in time. I get into and out of trouble more often than I can count."
"And if you ask me if I'm going to assault you one more time, I may very well do it," she said with an arched eyebrow as she looked over her shoulder at him. "Don't tempt me. I'm bad enough at resisting temptation as it is."

“Oh? I’m sure I can hold you off. I want to go swimming..” The last part was muttered under his breath with a look of thoughtfulness across his face as he took another swig. He began humming a little tune to himself as they walked and noticed that the city was starting to disappear behind them. A frown came to his lips as he looked around and stopped humming. ”So..Where did you say we were going again? Trying to get me lost?” Although he couldn’t necessarily get lost as he could just fly away, buttt still. The area was not the most accomodating. Ahh. Advcenture time perhaps. Or not. Who knows. Okay.

Asher arched an eyebrow and shrugged, turning in a random direction. Chances are she'd be the one getting lost, but it's not like it hadn't happened before. "If you keep looking for one, you won't find it but the minute you stop looking for adventure, it finds you," she said with a laugh.
"And if you want to go swimming, there's a lake nearby," she said, heading off in that direction. It was a short walk, no more than fifteen minutes, and at night it was eerily quiet and deserted. The human girl ignored it, brushing off the signs of the quiet since she was so used to it and headed down the well beaten path a few steps ahead of the daemon.

Alehkar frowned at her words but nodded. Okay time to stop trying to find adventure, and it would find him. The Daemon suddenly beamed at the idea of a lake being nearby. The grin spreading over his lips as he nodded again and followed her lead, letting her walk a head as he watched around them carefully. It was very dark out and the path was not lighted very well, if only he could grab a torch. ”To the lake we go then..” He muttered half under his breath as she was a meter or so a head of him now, that and he was sort of dragging his feet so he didn’t fall.

"You're a depressing drunk," she stated bluntly from where she had disappeared around a corner, edging ahead of him and more than likely into some trouble. She couldn't see the gang ahead of them since she didn't have night vision and they were quiet so she wouldn't hear them, but something felt odd enough that she stopped and paused, looking around.
"This doesn't feel exactly right," she muttered, shaking her head before deciding to press on despite the odd feeling in her gut. If she'd been sober she would have listened to her intuition, but drunk was a different story. She'd go ahead with whatever foolhardy plan she had.

Alehkar was not paying any attention, which was for the worst, but he was drunk and couldn’t help but look around. It wasn’t until she rounded the corner that a silent alarm went off in the Daemon and he sped up a bit. “Hey..Slow down..” He hadn’t realized she had gotten so far a head of him, and he hadn’t realized how drunk he was until that moment. Drunk enough to be stupid, but also sober enough to not have his senses taken from him. Alehkar walked around the corner, unaware of the gang that had been a head of them, and also unaware of her alarm as well. Perhaps they would have been wise to actually listen to it.

Asher paused, turning back to face the daemon as she arched an eyebrow, also presenting herself as a slight target. From being so tiny, she created a hard target to get and keep, but could be held down easier. She hear the movement a split second too late and turned to see several shadowy figures step onto the path around them.
"Well this is certainly unexpected," she murmured as she took an involuntary step back, violet eyes darting around and taking in the size. They were all human, but from the way they moved told her they were experienced in doing this and comfortable with each other rather than having an true skill to speak of.

His body tensed as he stood right behind Asher but with enough room that if he needed to move he could. There was a large group of them and he counted four infront of them. Swearing in his mind as he heard footsteps behind them, listening carefully he counted two pair about a meter away or so. Alehkar moved his arm slowly around Asher’s waist and pulled her against his body tightly and sturdy. ”We’re just trying to pass by.” His voice was strong and deep, almost threatening as he peered at all four in front of him, hearing footsteps inch closer to them.
They were in a sever disadvantage as there were six of them and only two of them, plus they were drunk and the goons were not. Alehkars eyes focused and narrowed as two of them laughed at his words and rolled their eyes. And we just want the little lady and perhaps that bottle of yours..Daemon we’re a bit at an advantage so give in and no one will get too hurt.. Two suggestions, fight or flight, and the closer they got the harder it would be to fly and spread his wings. At the action the two behind him lunged, he tightened his grip on her waist and the action of his wings caused them to get flung back with a quick movement. The Daemon frowned at the sting before pushing off and flying into the air leaving them swearing and throwing a knife up at them.
The blade struck against his leg as he grimaced and swayed a bit, eyes locking down as they became ants. His jaw clenched tightly as he was almost tempted to go back. But that would be foolish, he was a Daemon and without any weapons on him he was barely above a human. That and the fact that there were triple the amount of them then him, it was hardly worth while to risk Ashers life. Although she would probably just laugh at him and call him a coward, he didn’t really care. Better safe rather then pummeled and raped. ”Sorry..”
