Asher arched an eyebrow at his first reaction, watching with more curiosity than anything. He seemed to not like his personal space invaded yet his second action seemed almost to contradict the first when he kissed the back of her hand. It was a gesture that she did not often see applied to her or many of the people she knew, outside the rich ones.
She gave him a long, slow blink that told him she clearly did not at all buy what he was saying but she would ask later. "You don't even know anything about me, and yet you have all these platonic desires. You are quite the puzzle, aren't you Alehkar?" she breathed, keeping her voice low before she shrugged.
Waving her hand as if her previous words did not matter, she dropped her eyes from his as she shrugged again. "Just walking," she said with a light laugh, not giving a general destination. She'd find her mark eventually, hopefully. If not, she wasn't worried about it either way. "Do I really need a destination?"

Alehkar let a throaty laugh escape at her expression on his gesture, the mood of him immediately lightening up at her amusing facial expressions. A shrug matched hers before he began to walk with her. Glad the previous topic was dropped completely, well for now at least. .The Daemon was looking around them as she continued to speak. He had never thought of himself as a puzzle, he always thought he was pretty simple. Never got angry or lied, never was a jerk, how little he asked in return. Apparently being himself was a puzzle, odd.
" You do not need a destination, I will walk with you until you get tired of me.” Another chuckle before grinning towards her. Beginning to walk aimlessly with her, his feet kicking aimlessly at a rock that fell in his path. “What do you do for a living Delilah?” Genuinely curious he kept looking towards her as they walked, keeping a comfortable distance between them.

"This, that, and the other," she said as a way of explanation with a shrug as she ran her hand through her hair, looking around in an almost suspicious manner if one didn't know her childish quirks that kicked in at odd times. To most, they assumed that she had some sort of damage, and while that was the case in some aspects, she was the smartest person you would ever meet.
She tapped a finger against her lips, almost as if she were going to speak but she was merely organizing her thoughts, drawing conclusions about him. These would be backed up later as she tried to find out more, but for the most they were pretty accurate. "Why would you be in a bar in Temarra if not looking for someone to fuck or get into a brawl?" she asked aloud, more to herself than him. "Of course, he could be gay, that would explain a lot, or he could be a messenger of sorts," she continued, her voice dancing with amusement at her thoughts.

"Your not one for answering questions are you?” A puzzled look went onto his face as he looked at her, confusing thoughts in his mind before he shook his head. But her next words, it was her next words were what shocked him most. Both eyes widening and his brows shot up as he stopped walking. But then the look on his face completely cleared and her burst out laughing.
The laughter echoed through the night as he bent down from the pain in his stomache. “Oh Delilah, I went to a bar to drink. Is that not what people go there for? And just because I am not pouncing on you and shredding your clothes to bits and pieces does not mean I am gay. And I do notknow anyone to be a messenger..Why do you not believe me?“ He was still trying to stiffle his laughter before shaking his head and continued to walk.
Why was it so hard for her to accept that someone would be kind to her for other reasons rather then sex? Why was it so difficult for her to believe he was really just being genuine, and not having tricks up his sleeves? Alehkar was starting to realize certain things about Delilah, like how she kept looking around suspiciously and how no one could be nice to her without getting 20 thousand questions about why.

"Only when they suit me," she said with a noncommittal shrug as she turned back to look at him. Arching an eyebrow as she watched him take the few more steps so he was in the lead, she shrugged again. "Nope, I'm pretty sure you're gay, Aley," she said, purposefully teasing him.
Asher just seemed to know what buttons to push with people as she skipped up to him and purposefully invaded his space again, a smile on her lips as she leaned up not touching him, but still a breath away from him. "I have no reason to believe otherwise," she said with her voice dropping down so it merely ghosted across his lips before she gave him a kiss.
She was mostly amusing herself at the moment, pushing his boundaries as she was wont to do, but also gathering information about him and able to infer the unspoken words. Leaning back down to her height, she skipped ahead a few steps, clasping her hands behind her back.

His right eyebrow quirked up as she kissed him, but other then that no reaction came across his face. Shoving both his hands into his pockets again as he strolled slightly behind her. And she said he was confusing, she just seemed to be enjoying bugging him. Not that a kiss was bothering.. Well slightly.
He hadn’t been kissed in a very long time, but she didn’t need to know that. For once he blocked all emotions from his face and glanced around him. “You are having way to much fun at my expense. But I get it, perhaps by insulting me it will make you feel better Calling me gay, when I doubt you really believe that, helps explain why I would have respect for you. How strange,”

Ash shrugged, lips quirking up in a smile as she spun around, reminiscent of a small child. "I say what I think and I think what I say. Well, most of the time anyways," she said with a light laugh as her moods switched in nearly the blink of an eye.
She laughed lightly, pressing a hand to her lips before spinning back around, fairly skipping in her step as she hummed under her breath. "Besides, that's usually what it boils down to in my experience," she said, snickering. "There are many euphemisms that go with 'getting a drink'," she said. "You just don't know it, yet."

“You do realize by giving the men exactly what they want, it actually sounds like they use you rather then the other way around..” He was muttering again, both hands tight in his pockets as he shuffled along with her. “how many friends do you have?” Alehkar asked, his eyes looking down at the ground before raising to look at her. “I mean friends you have not slept with, and just talk with?” It was a simple question, and he doubted she would actually answer him.
” Are you even going to answer me? Doubtful. So guarded. So careful. So suspicious. Even me being kind to you has you nervous.” He was watching her carefully, his voice soft and quiet as he took a step towards her. “I am Alehkar. I grew up in Abourno. My father is dead. As is the rest of my family, but they were not important. I have no friends, not really at least, and have recently just left abourno. Perhaps now you wont feel like you have to not answer simple questions?” alehkar shrugged, looking around the area almost awkwardly.

Asher arched an eyebrow, turning to regard him coolly, her mood having switched in the blink of an eye. "I never said that they didn't have something I wanted. As for friends, that only gets you hurt so I don't keep any," she said as she watched him nearly spill his past to her.
Well, that was easy, she mused. "Fine, not my fault that few people know about me. Makes me harder to kill. I have no family, grew up in the scattered islands and am probably one of the smartest people you will ever meet," she said with a shrug. The last part was true, she was fluent in every language available to her including a few dead ones.

Now he understood why his others always said women were confusing, this woman before him definitely was. He could not help but shake his head at her, the amusement on his face that had previously taken place disappeared all together. He could not figure her out, and somehow he had decided that he probably never would. Probably for the better, he doubted that Delilah would want him to figure her out.
| “What do they have that you want?” the question was very straight forward both brows furrowing ever so lightly as he studied her. She was smart and beautiful, obviously she had chosen to use her beauty for whatever she wanted and decided against using her brains for just that. Or she used her brains to help her beauty. Back to the question he asked, it was definitely something he was probably not wanting to know the answer too.

"Knowledge is power," was all she said in a sing-song voice as she swayed on her feet, almost closing her eyes so she watched him in a half-lidded gaze that allowed her true calculations to peek out for a moment but so that no one else would see it.
Giving him a brilliant smile, she hummed and pulled a few strands of hair over her shoulder as she pretended to inspect it. "And don't worry about figuring me out or any of that. You won't even come close," she said with a light laugh, as if she was reading his thoughts.
It was more that she was reading his body language. When people withdrew, they were confused by her and didn't know what to make of her. "And I know you don't want to know the answer, so don't ask questions you don't want to know," she said with a light laugh as she waved a finger in front of him.

She had said she was not a whore, but he was starting to believe otherwise. Alehkar was frowning as he watched her seem to relax, which he doubted she was actually doing. “Other then fucking strangers and getting into trouble with those strangers, what do you do for fun?“ He was changing the topic again, well sort of.
“I mean what else do you do, is there anything you would like to do right now?“ His head tilted to the side as he watched her, a goofy grin going across his face. Taking a step forward and poking her in the stomach in an almost teasing manner. “Lets go do something. And i wont worry about getting to know you if you don't want me too... I probably wont even see you after tonight. Which is a shame...“

"I'm not a whore, so quit it," she said sharply, reading his expression all too well. Calling her a whore or insinuating it was a good way to get her angry and usually a sharp kick to somewhere that mattered to the male population.
"Despite being able to act the part, that's not my job. Pray you never actually become the target of my job," she said brightly. "But fun is surfing or playing with the merfolk. They always have tales to tell."
She smiled again, a bit of childish happiness showing through, something that always threw people off guard. "And you may not see me, but I may see you," she murmured under her breath, hardly caring if he heard or not.

Alehkar frowned at her words, a bit taken back by the suddenness of it. “I apologize if I offended you in anyways Delilah.. I didn’t mean too. It was not my intention.” He heard her last words but did not pay them any attention as he beat himself up inside for insulting her. What was wrong with him? Of course he should not call her a whore, now she probably thought him as bad as the others. Apparently he was acting like a complete dumb ass and he was definitely not drunk off of those previous shots of whiskey. No, he was definitely not drunk and even if he was that would definitely not be an excuse to be such a jerk to ‘Delilah’.
There was a chill in the air, so surfing was definitely not an option even if he knew how to do it. Which he didn’t. It’s not like he surfed in Abourno often anyways, so it wasn’t something that he was used too. Probably could just use his wings for balance, but then they may get wet which was never fun. He hated wet wings with a passion. Alehkar lifted a hand and ran it through his long locks, pushing them away from his face to slick back slightly. Brows furrowed and the frown still in place as he took a step towards Delilah almost carefully. “I’m a jerk. I’m sorry. I really did not mean it. I just.. I don’t know, I told you I’m not white knight. Obviously. Insulting you like that.. I’m sorry”
Completely disregarding her comment about her seeing him rather then the other way around, he simply thought it was a weird saying. Why would she not walk up to him and say hi? Perhaps because he was rude? Alehkar was probably one of the first to apologize so much, but he did not want her to be angry with him. He did not want her to think he was just putting on a face, which she probably thought anyways. After all, didn’t everyone to her? That’s what it seemed at least. He cleared his throat before taking another step forward, voice quiet but audible:“ What is your job then? How are friends hurtful? Would you not wish friendship from me? What do you get from the men then? Information is that it? You said information is power, so is that what you meant? How come you don’t answer questions? Is it so wrong of me to want to get to know you?”
Alehkar drew his brows even closer together if possible as he studied her facial expression to his questions. Studying the flash in her eyes and the quirks of her lips with the precision she so effectively used on him. Taking a step forward as he kept his focus on her and did nothing to hide it. “Will you actually answer any of my questions truthfully? The simplest of questions?” The frown almost plastered as he looked at her, skyblue eyes twinkling in the light ever so softly. He doubted she would answer any of it truthfully, he doubted it just from what he learned from her. She was always on edge, she seemed to be so light hearted but really she was placing a keen eye on everything. Everyone. Especially whomever she had her attention on, which currently was him.

Asher narrowed her eyes and took a slight step back, crossing her arms over her chest as she regarded him. "You ask to many questions, Alehkar," she said. "You're too naieve and you know nothing. You wouldn't want to know me or be around me if you knew anything about me," she continued, feeling her spitfire temper rising up.
Lord help them all when her temper got a hold of her, then almost anything was liable to come out of her mouth. "You want the truth, the truth will get me killed. The less you know about me, the better," she said, violet eyes flaring up in a temper that left them bright and clear.
Her back was against a wall of a shopfront, her arms crossed in front of her in a defensive gesture. It was obvious she had lied to him, she wouldn't deny it if he asked her flat out or called her out on it. Although strangely the only part she had lied about had been her name. Of course, few people were privy to that knowledge but it did little to console her.
The silver hoops jingled in her ears as she pushed her hair back behind her ears, her eyes guarded as she mentally kept her distance from the daemon. "Why do you want to know so badly? Do you honestly think that I need protection from whatever it is I do? Do you think that you can protect yourself, let alone me from whatever comes after me?" she asked, returning his rapidfire questions from earlier.

Alehkar didn’t cringe this time, he didn’t really react to her sudden spit of anger towards him or feel hurt in anyway. But he was shaking his head at her first comment, but he knew she was right. He was naïve, he didn’t really know anything, but one thing he did know is that she was not happy with him right then. Which he could understand, well sort of. Alehkar had taken a step forward when she had taken a step back, on the edge of personal space being invaded but not moving beyond that, for both of their benefits, as he did not feel like getting slugged in the jaw at that point in time.
He listened to her ramble off questions at him, could feel her guard herself even more then she was doing before. His hold body was tensed, his shoulders up ever so slightly and his arms tensed at his sides and within his pockets his hands balled into fists. Both eyes studying her as he was quiet for a moment to take a breath and contemplate her questions. “You are right. I am naïve. Apparently I was not away asking the simple question as to where you are from could end you and myself up in a war. I do not want to know badly, I just want to know. Are you not used to people asking you genuine questions? Really wanting to know who you are? Its simple questions…”
The Daemon’s voice was strained ever so slightly. She was so ridiculous! How could wanting to know such simple things end her up dead? That didn’t make any sense! Why was she so god damn difficult. “I do not think you need protection, but I do think yes. If so be it and you did need it, I would be able to provide it, or at the very least attempt to. What ? Is that so hard to believe? Perhaps it’s naïve to want to help someone else with no hidden motive, so sue me.” He was leaning forwards slightly with his eyes narrowed, but besides his voice a bit strained he did not raise it in anyways.

Asher bit on her lower lip, drawing it under and looking much like a small child that had gotten in trouble, except for the fire still in her eyes. She was very much a spitfire, her temper never that far away unless it served her no purpose. Of course she was upset that he had insinuated calling her a whore, but now it was for a different reason.
Her fingers were intertwined in the fabric of her pants, clenching it as she listened to him. She dropped her gaze slightly as the gears in her head moved, coming up with answers and lies, both which would be believable.
"Fine, you want me to answer you? If you want to know so bad, then you can fight your own way out. I'm already entrenched in it," she hissed, her eyes coming back up to meet his.
"First, my name is Asher, not Delilah. Second, I'm information. I find out everything there is to know about someone and then sell that to the highest bidder. My personal life is nonexistent. I have no family or friends, they were all killed when I wanted to leave. I never knew my real parents. The only people who know who I am and what I look like are high grade mercenaries and the people with money who want dark deeds done," she said, eyes flashing.
"I am no one important to the outside world and only exist in the dark world with no way to get out. I dug my own goddamn grave and plan to keep everyone else out of it," she said as she let her temper carry her forward a step so she was practically invading his space.

He listened to her answer all his questions and then some, his jaw slowly clenching shut as she continued. He could almost feel her anger bouncing against him and could definitely see it in her eyes. The burning intensity that was probably mirrored in his own. His jaw grew numb as he fought an urge to almost shake her, try to shake some reasoning into her. He did not flinch and he kept his hands tight, if not even tighter then before.
Shaking his head as blonde flocks brushed to cover his face slightly, head tilted down so he could look at her. An almost bitter laugh escaped his lips as he slightly rolled his eyes. “Who would’ve known that was so hard to do, Asher. Wow. A name? It took that long to find out your real name. Who gives a fake name anyways?” Alehkar had never been so confused and frustrated with another person or thing.
His shoulders relaxed just a little bit taking a silent breath to calm his nerves as best he could. Who would want a life without a single friend. And you find me naïve? You’re the one that finds suspicion in everyone, only expecting sex or money and don’t care if they are good people your hurt. Doubt you would even recognize a good person if you saw one.“ another bitter laugh escaped his lips. He could not even fathom why a person would want to live like that.

"People who give fake names are the ones whose lives are always in danger. You'd do best to forget about me and who I am and who I was," she said with a bitter laugh. "I'm a nobody and expendable. If I go down because of something stupid I did, I'm not dragging anyone else down with me," she said, her eye looking at him, daring him to contradict her.
She was on the verge of tears, if the crystalline shimmer in her eyes was anything to go by, but she wouldn't cry in front of anyone, least of all a stranger. "Good people have nothing to hide, nothing to lie about. They do not get into trouble nor do they attract attention to themselves. And I'm far from a good person, you already think I'm a whore, so why not act the part?" she said with a bitter smile twisting her lips.
She took that moment to lean up and kiss him fully before stepping back down and shaking her head, almost as if she were disgusted with herself. "Like I said, better to forget that I exist," was all she said as she turned on her heel.

Alehkar was listening to her, his shoulders and arms relaxing a bit but his mind reeling. She was expendable? She thought she was expendable? He had never heard those words leave anothers lips, never would have thought he would. He shouldn’t have to hear those words. No one was expendable. His anger settled a fraction down towards her, heading towards himself now rather. Angry at himself very slowly especially as he saw the tears filtering over her eyes.
It was true. Alehkar did not have anything to lie about, to hide from others, and he rarely got into trouble. Well that was not true, actually he got into a lot of trouble but it was rarely over himself and more over someone else. But it was the kiss that shocked him most. It was filled with anger and disgust, and her facial expressions told the same story right before she told him to forget her and stormed off.
He was stalled only a moment in his steps, watching her walk away as all anger left him. He looked at the ground, his eyebrows furrowing at himself now before shaking his head and jogging after her. Lifting his hand to stop her and placing it on her shoulder almost hesitantly. ”Asher.. I didn’t.. I mean..” his voice quietened, an unusual change in comparison to their yelling before. He seemed almost at a loss for words.
