The high priestess had long since left the elven king in Bellevin, the town of pirates and traveled back up to the north, closer to where she had originated from. She was alone for the time, a slender figure that moved with the shadows and the night as if they were one. The drowess held an intimacy with the night that few other creatures held, perhaps save the vampires or any other night creature.
The wind was chilled and she was dressed for it at the moment, a long shirt and pants as well as a thicker cloak and boots that left no sound or footprint when she stepped. She was sitting on the rocks again, where she had first met the elven king outside of battle, purely by accident as she watched the creatures of the night scurry to and fro, listening to the calls of the owls.
She was thinking, about everything that had happened lately and the offer that the elven king had made to her and seemed to want of her. For her, it would be seen as treason of the highest order and she would be killed on sight if she were ever to be seen again and she would be abandoning Amaji, her oldest and closest friend. The question remained of if she could do it.
She had considered just turning and going back down to the tunnels, not coming up again for a long time, keeping to herself what had happened and letting things go as they would. Something, however, had kept her up here on the surface, forcing her to wait on the plains for another week. She had long since reached the entrance to the tunnels that lead down into the Underdark, her home and the one place she knew extremely well.
She shifted slightly, brushing her hair back under her hood as she became still again, lavender eyes darting out over the plains in front of her. She really didn't expect to see the elf, but then again, every time that she hadn't expected to see him, she had, hadn't she?

Decisions were not easily made in just a few minutes. Nor were the outcome of the person whom makes it. The king of the forest elves sighed to himself as he just strolled about int he forest. It was something about night time that calmed him down. His day had not been too eventful, but he always had something on his mind that required his attention to the forest at night. Sometimes, it would be his people, other times it may be a fight that had happened, and the most recent reason would be Azazealyn. She was a drow priestess who just happened to be with Robin at odd moments and he just happened to like her. However, he didn't know how much, but this was why he was strolling around in the dark. Robin quickly created a magic light that floated in front of his so he could see more clearly as he tried to get his thoughts together. He hardly thought that she would just run off with him, considering that the people she once knew wouldn't like her anymore. But Robin felt a little guilty. He just couldn't well ask her to give up everything she knew and had just for him. He knew some about the drow, and they didn't really take mates. Robin frowned to himself and looked down at the autumn leaves that had fallen. Winter was almost here. However, the setting in the forest changed abruptly with a few more steps forward. There were no more trees, and tall grass. Robin looked up to see that he was in the meadow and when he looked around, he whispered a spell under his breath and the light he had created was destroyed. His eyes adjusted with it's surrounding, and Robin could see the silhouette of a person sitting on the rocks. It seemed to have too much curves to it to be a man, so Robin took a guess. He picked up his bow and show an arrow. He knew where it would land because he aimed it for right in front of her. Once it was released, he dashed off, racing with it. However the arrow had won because when he saw the woman more clearly, he could see that it was Az. The made him slow in speed until he was walking. He wore a confussed look and then it changed to a non emotional one. He put his hands in his pockets and sat on the rocks next to her."What's new?" He laughed quietly at his attempts to start a conversation.

The high priestess started with the arrow landing in front of her before she realized who it was. It was obviously a little late to try and hide, he had already seen her, so she stayed put, watching his form come closer. Lavender eyes were tinged with a hint of red as she slipped into the infrared spectrum before blinking again, going back to the normal spectrum.
She shrugged as she leaned back on her hands, watching the night move around her with faintly amused eyes. "Nothing at all," she said quietly as she tilted her head back to stare at the stars far above her. That was the only light this night, the stars, the moon having hidden in shadow now, marking the changing of the months and season. "You never were the best at starting conversations, were you?" she said softly with a teasing laugh evident in her voice.

Robin just laughed at Az's comment, thinking that he liked it when he was around her. He turned his head to look at her and then back at the dark high grass. It barely had color to it since the moon was gone and the faint stars were the only ones left to give light. A chill passed by Robin, ruffling his hair even more than usual. He could feel the sting of the cold on his face but he ignored it. "No I guess not. So why don't you start." Robin winked at her and then propped himself on the rock more to get comfortable. He really wanted to talk to her about them and what she was planning on doing, but he thought that he might as go slowly into it. His eyes looked at the arrow he had thrown and waited for an answer.

Azazealyn shook her head, a faint smile on her lips as she shifted and became comfortable again, looking out and ignoring the wind as well. She shrugged once, almost as if looking for a topic before looking back at him with an eyebrow arched. "You have a thread you want to talk about, so you may as well stop beating around the bush and talk about it," she stated softly, turning her attention back to the plains before them.
She was quite adept at reading people and he was no exception, especially since many came to her for advice and may not want to outright say what their original question was, so she had learned to read between the lines, so to speak.

Robin laughed and then looked at Az."You know me so well." He was obviously sarcastic and then folded up his knees. He sighed and then looked down for a second."I just wanted to know if you knew what you were planning on doing. And I understand the warnings and everything, but I want to know what you would like to do. I can't very well decide for both of us and have no regard for you." He sighed again and then looked at Azazealyn. Before he decided on anything, he wanted to know what Az thought, and he wouldn't be mad if she just decided to never see him again.

Azazealyn watched him for a long moment, growing silent and still as she turned back to the plains in front of her studying them with intensity as she thought, lacing her fingers together under her chin as she slid her eyes closed. "Truthfully, I don't know. It crossed my mind since it would be the best option and the safest, although in dealing with drow there are very few safe paths," she said dryly, blinking eyes open to stare across the plains to the tree lines.
"And you have your people to consider as well. Here, it is kill on sight for both parties, regardless of any transgressions done or perceived to have done. It is kill or be killed and not likely to change at any time, especially since I am a high priestess," she said softly. Yes, it would be the best option if they never saw each other again or only came together rarely, by chance if she were following a curiosity to the surface.
Lloth had been no help at all, merely laughing and telling her that the king was a good lay and could be retrained and useful before disappearing and not answering any more questions about the situation. Azazealyn sighed, carefully not looking at him as she studied the rocks in front of her.

Robin had feared that Az might say that. He knew that what he wanted was going to be followed closely with problems, most likely bigger than himself or Azazealyn. He sighed and looked down as well, trying to think of something to say. When he looked at the priestess, she was looking down too. Another burst of wind started to blow toward his face, bringing the hair from his eyes over his head. Robin then put his hand over Az's ones and gave a gental squeeze. "I know that there probably isn't anything I can say to make this seem right, and there's probably nothing I can say to my people to make them understand, but I don't want to leave you." He felt like he was going soft, and he could feel his pride give a little sting, but he didn't mind. For once tonight, he felt that his thoughts have cleared up. Well, for now anyway. Robin lifted his crystal blue eyes to notice that light snow started to fall to the ground. He smiled as he returned his attention to Azazealyn.

Azazealyn sighed, bringing her head back down from the sky to look over the land, her nose wrinkling slightly at the snow that had begun to fall before she turned to face the elf in front of her. She still didn't know what she wanted to do at the moment, wanting to retreat back to what was safe, or relatively safe in any instance, but part of her wanted to leave it all and stay up here, which was highly unheard of.
She sighed slightly and shifted, not taking her hand back from the king. "You owe your loyalty to them and you are one of them," she said softly turning to look at him. "Why do you want to concern yourself with me? We are supposed to be enemies."

As the snow continued to sprinkle down to the ground, Robin watched one as it stuck there to the brown colored grass, not wanting to lose its place as more fell to the ground. Robin sighed, looking at the white wisps of air that escaped his lips, and thought about what Az said. It was true, they were suppose to be enemies, and his people wouldn't take kindly to what their king has been up to, but what if somehow, all this, all his acts, benefited his people. Well, to Robin, they did. Maybe, by this bond, if there may be one, these two races could slowly stop hating. He couldn't promise anything about the Moon Elves, but since they were allys, they may understand. However, Robin didn't hold his breath at the thought and looked at Az with a somewhat sad look. "We don't have to be enemies. Why must both sides loss life after life for a war whose cause has been forgotten? I happen to like you a lot Azazealyn, and even though it may be in my own best interest, I can't let you go." Robin looked at her lavender eyes, but took them away as he put his free hand over is mouth and whispered some magic into it. A light started to glow, and as he released it, it wasn't so much as bright as it was warmth. Robin was starting to get cold, and he thought that it wasn't a bad idea to have a little 'fire' going while they talked.

Azazealyn looked at him, running a hand through her hair as she thought. She bit her lower lip as she dropped her eyes to look at the ground, blinking suddenly when the fire sprang up. She shifted so she was looking at him. Azazealyn drew one leg up so that she was hugging her knee to her chest, listening.
"One would hope that your allies would, but who knows," she murmured. "And I'm sure you have others that will catch your fancy and be better for your people," she said softly. She closed her eyes for a moment as the wind kicked up, tugging her hair across her face.

The sky seemed relentless as the snow continued to fall, and even stung him in his face as the wind blew every which direction. Robin sighed, knowing fair well that this wasn't going to be easy to convince her that he meant the truth. Robin shifted his body so his left side was touching comfortably to her right. He lifted the hand with her locked one with it so it rested on his knee. Robin whispered another spell, which made the ground rise slightly in front of him, and with his hand that rested the 'fire', he placed it on it. It rested there nicely, and Robin stared at it for a minute or so before he looked back at Azazealyn. He couldn't help but give a slight chuckle."Azazealyn, I've been alive for more than 4,500 years and no one has ever tickled my fancy before you." However, Robin began to wonder why she seemed to be thinking up all these negatives, as if she didn't want to be with him but couldn't just tell him no."Why do you think all of these bad things will happen? What if, everything isn't as bad as you think it would be." His crystal eyes continued to stare at Az, not feeling too happy, nor sad.

The high priestess bit her lip, feeling his eyes on her as she thought, blinking open lavender eyes as she shook her head. "It is how I have been taught, raised and treated. It is how a drow is," she murmured, eyes staring straight ahead.
She sighed before a small smile quirked her lips as she looked at their joined hands, eyes darting up to his face. "God you're old then," she said, her voice teasing slightly before raising her free hand to push the stray strands of hair out of her face. "I wouldn't have been surprised if you had been a virgin either," she said, wrinkling her nose before shaking her head and staring back out across the plains in front of them.
Azazealyn almost wanted to just dismiss the topic at hand, but knew she very well couldn't, especially since the whole course would be life altering. "Why do you want me with you?"

It all seemed like a winter wonderland, but the wind blew and pushed it out of Robin's thoughts/ He tried to concentrate on the subject at hand, but it was a tad hard because he wasn't usually serious for this long. Only when Az spoke in a light tone did he feel the conversation lighten."God you're young," Robin threw back. He didn't know the actual age of the priestess, but clearly by her reaction, she must be at least a thousand years younger, possibly less. However, that didn't quite matter right now at the moment. Robin suddenly looked shocked at her last remark, and a bit hurt. But it was all in good fun so he smiled as he spoke."Hey now! You think I would grow this old without having sex??" Robin laughed and looked up to watch the snow fall. However, it wasn't long before the tough atmosphere changed once more. He turned his face to look at Az, and then to stare at the light in front of him."I guess, possibly because you're the ultimate partner. A forest elf most defenatly wouldn't be talking to a drow, let alone have sex with one or even have feelings for one. Life is boring without risks, and this just happened to be the one that counted. You stir the excitement that I've lost when I was to become king." Robin smiled as he turned his attention back to the priestess.

Azazealyn shrugged, chewing on her lower lip as she looked out over the plains, leaning slightly into the elf king's touch. "Glad to know I'm a replacement for your Maid Marion," she said dryly as she looked at him with a look that said he had damn well better save his ass because she wasn't about to let him go that easily.
"Or am I a the biggest foolish risk you've taken, old man?" she shot with a slight smile, still not giving away her age. After all, she woul most likely always be on even footing with him when it came to a magical fight, rather than a physical one although she was no novice at all.

Az didn't seem to let up as she continued with being the fierce person she definitely was. Robin sighed, seeming to have forgotten that on this chilly night. Plus, he really wanted to know who started that story, because he wouldn't mind hitting them a bit. The story was somewhat true, but it was more she liked him like a lover way, than he did, which was a friend. He learned from his this, and gets a tad aggreviated when he has to think of the memories."You're nothing like Marion." His tone was completely stern, no joke avaliable to be found. Robin sighed again, leaning more next to Azazealyn. "It could be the foolish risk, but you aren't. And enough with this old man buisness!" Robin laughed lightly as he kissed Az on the cheek. Her skin felt cool on his lips, and he lingered there for a second, until he smiled and took his face away.

Azazealyn snickered, easily able to tell that he was aggravated with that story and deciding to pry a bit, laughter comping out as she went through his memories and thoughts. "Me thinks the lady herself started that one," she teased, growing more comfortable with him.
"And you are older than me, and male, therefore you are an old man," she shot back, the logical side of her coming out as she gently pushed him with her body, playing around at the moment.
She smiled and shook her head before turning and placing a gentle kiss on Robin's lips before turning away and looking out over the plains again, running a hand through her hair.

Robin wondered how he would counter this ’old man’ comment but his mind was working as fast. It could have been that he was particularly lazy right now or it could have been because of the weather. A light frosty breeze wrapped itself around him and lung tightly to his warm skin. Shivering, Robin whispered a spell under his breath, which increased the warmth of the shining ball which was about a foot away. Now if any snow got to close to them, it instantly melted away into tiny puddles of water. A sudden smile appeared of his face as he turned to look at Azazealyn. It was odd that she seemed so sweet to him. After going on about the drow being ferocious and after what Robin knows about them, it seemed that Az has separated herself from them. It was different. He took his hand away from her own and placed both hands on her cheeks. He guided her face to look at him and he placed a light but serious kiss on her. His lips genteelly moved over hers, but he took them away while giving a smile. He moved his body to where his hands wrapped around her and rested his head on the crook of her neck. She felt so warm compared to the darkness only some feet away. ”You make me wanting to let you go harder each time. You really are beautiful Azazealyn.”[/blockquote]

Azazealyn blinked, eyebrow arching as she let him cuddle up to her and hold her, finding it oddly comforting and quite different from the normal coldness of the drow society. "Well, it doesn't have to be you who lets go. It will not take much for me to go," she said softly, pointing out logic.
That was her nature, staying aloof and weighing out all options and seeing what the best course of action was. Azazealyn rarely took her own feelings and desires into consideration, the main reason she was high priestess at a young age.

The fields were completely filled with darkness and snow, freezing nearly everything in its path. However, Robin’s eyes were made for this sort of light, and he bet that Azazealyn’s were even stronger than his own at night. He liked to hug her because it jus felt so right to him, and after thinking about it, he thought that it was kind of amazing how she didn’t mind so much interaction and physical touching from him. It wasn’t what the Drows did much, or at least, that was what he thought. But he couldn’t help but laugh lightly next to her ear. He then pulled her back suddenly, but slowed down when he was about to hit the rock with his back and moved himself so that Az rested there.”Is it not enough just to stay and be happy with me?” He put his hands lightly on her shoulders as he was nearly on top of her. He kissed her again, lips lingering on hers for a second before pulled backing and laying on is back on the rocks next to her. His eyes wandered around the stars. ”What reason do you have to leave my side?”
