"To live, to survive, to go back to what is known and comfortable," she said softly, staring out over the continuing falling snow. She did know that the snow would quickly pile up and they should go somewhere else out of the snow, but if they parted now, she knew they would not come back together again, even if by an accident.
That was what kept her here, she really did not want to leave him, yet her survival instinct was telling her she must. "As I have pointed out so many times before, Robin, your people would not accept it, nor would mine, especially since our positions are prominent within our respective societies. Even if I were to stay, not a day would go by that someone would attempt to kill me," she murmured, a small dark hand reaching over to gently tilt his chin so she could look directly into his eyes.
Silver hair fell around her, reflecting the firelight and the starlight, making lavender eyes hover in the darkness as she watched him, leaning forward to press a light kiss to his lips, pulling back slowly.
"You always ask me what reason do I have to leave, yet what is my reason to stay? You have not presented me with one," she pointed out, her voice still soft as she released him, fingers sliding along his skin until their touch disappeared.

The forest elf wasn’t sure what to say to her question. It was true, of course, that hehad always asked her why she just didn’t want to stay with him, but why did he himself want her to stay with him. He sat back up from lying down and stared into the darkness. That was all that really seemed to be around them now a-days. He sighed heavily and stood up, first staring at the light, then turning around to stare at Azazealyn. ”I’m sorry for the dangers that always seem to surround you. I’m sorry that it’s probably mostly due to me. But I won’t be sorry wanting you to stay by my side, and I’m going to make sure that happens. You could run, but I’ll find you.” He smiled slyly at her and held out his hand for her, if she would like to stand up with him. ”I want you to stay with me because I would like you to my queen, Azazealyn. I would like to hold you, and hug you, and make love to you for as long as we both live. I have already made up my mind and I’m not about to let you go. Now, what reasons have you that beat my own?” Robin smiled kindly at her, hand still extended for her. It was true, all of it. He wanted to be with Azazealyn forever, but she may change her mind, she may not actually like him what so ever. If that were the case, and she told him that she felt nothing for him, then that would be the only reason he would have to let her go.

Azazealyn blinked, shifting to watch him as he rose, listening to his words with all the seriousness the situation deserved. She was startled though, to hear what he had to say and it showed on her face, a slight expression of surprise as she sat there, momentarily speechless.
It was now or never, the last chance she would have to turn away from everything to say no, except she knew he wouldn't have believed her, even if she said that he was only a way to pass the time while up here. Lavender eyes watched him, taking in his form, the hand still extended to her for a long moment. It seemed as if the world itself was holding its breath, waiting for her answer.
She blinked once, eyes sliding back up to look at the forest king's face, as if reading him. She didn't need to probe into his mind to know that he was completely serious or that he was sincere in his emotions and feelings and whatever else he may have promised.
It was a heartbeat later that she put her hand in his and stood up, following his suit. It was rather strange, she thought, almost able to feel Lloth's approval as if the deity was standing next to her. That was what her goddess had wanted the young elf to figure out, to see that it was possible for the fighting to stop. It was saying something if the goddess of darkness herself was growing tired of the petty squabbles.
Lavender eyes rose to meet Robin's own, she was a bit shorter and more slender than he was, so it worked well. "It seems that you are going to be stuck with me for better or for worse now," she said softly, a faint smile curving her lips.

Robin waited there for Azazealyn to either decline or accept his offer. He wondered that he might had gone too far, or maybe Az, being the tough person she was, wouldn’t want to soften so easily. His emerald eyes sparkled dimly in the dark winter setting, hand still outstretched. However, it felt like the warmth of the sun had touched him as Azazealyn stood up, placing her hand in his own. A large smile appeared on his face, knowing that things will change soon after, possibly for only elves, or maybe the whole races in Yviex. ”I would love to be by your side through anything.” Robin loved to see Az smile, and so he lightly wrapped his arms around her back, and kissed her forehead as he looked down at her. The night suddenly didn’t seem as cold, nor as dark and lonely had it been when he first left the forest to the clearing. He turned his head, noticing a sparkle to his left. The king awed at the sight of seeing the first rays of sunshine. He took this as good luck as he looked back at Azazealyn, letting go of the hug. However, he still held her hand in his, contrast to his; ebony and ivory.”Would you like to visit our abode Azazealyn, and to let our people know of the future ahead?” He smiled at her, but couldn’t help but wonder what his people would do, or Azazealyn’s people.

Azazealyn shook her head, momentarily turning away from the bright rays of the sun as it appeared. Her eyes were still sensitive to the bright light and would always be so. Lavender eyes slid shut for a moment as she finally blinked them open, biting on her lower lip for a moment in the first outward sign of indecisiveness she had shown for a while.
"And I'm pretty sure your people would like to put me on trial and attempt to kill me, calling me all sorts of names and the like," she said, a bit dryly as she tilted her head back to look up at him, one eyebrow arched.
"I'm fairly certain that neither of our peoples are going to be thrilled by this," she murmured.

Robin, once wearing a smile, now gave a sympathetic look, one that was a bit harder than most. He still held Azazealyn’s hand in his own, and gave a subconscious light squeeze. He realized that what she was saying was true, but he wanted to change this. Obviously, he is their king, and maybe, he might just change their minds on the ageless war. He sighed and looked at Az with his blue eyes. “If they want to kill you, they would have to go through me first. But I doubt anyone would be able to even graze your skin Azazealyn.” Robin added the last bit with a smirk, because, after all, she was one of the best fighters for her age and she was also quite skilled. It amazed Robin but he didn’t want to dwell into thought as he looked up noticed the sun was still climbing. He had been out all night without realizing it, and he was getting pretty tired. ”If you do not want to come to my home, I will gladly follow you to where ever you would like to sleep for the day.” Robin sounded terribly whipped but one would just think it was because he really was in love for once.
