It was just midday in the Zyabeth Forest when Ayvajin decided to take a rest. She had been traveling since before the sun had rose and now she was looking to bath and get a bite to eat. The forest closer to the Forsaken Land was much cooler than most parts, but the temperature was nothing close to the freezing winds of the north. The necromancer knew that if she was to rest easy and to get cleaned one last night before she reached the frozen lands that she had to do these things now.
Ayvajin placed her bags down upon a clearing in the trees that was close to a creek. The necromancer rolled her neck, enjoying how her back felt without all of her equipment. She walked around the clearing, gathering up fallen branches and starting a nice fire in the center of the clearing.
She enjoyed traveling out in the wilderness, especially alone. Traveling alone gave her plenty of time to think about matters that only pertained to her. She only had herself to worry about as well.
The necromancer unpacked some of the supplies she would use to cook up a nice dinner before getting some clothes out. She walked over to the creek. She felt the water, noting how warm it was which was a nice sign. No reason to take a cold bath.
Ayvajin undressed, leaving her clothes in a pile. She wrapped her braided hair around her neck before slipping into the water.

The King of the Incubi had decided now was a good time to drop in on the necromancer that had quickly become one of his favorites to pester while on this plane. Appearing as only a shimmer, he quickly fully materialized in the forest, near where the necromancer had set up camp. Strolling out, he arched an eyebrow to find her bathing and decided to take up a seat on a rock near her clothes, watching her for a moment before deciding to alert her to his presence.
"Now, I don't understand why you won't just give in and sleep with me. You have a wonderful body, Avyajin, and I can do great things to it," he said, a cheesy grin on his face as he watched her.

Ayvajin gasped as she was startled by the sound of Lucien’s voice. She whirled around and quickly sunk into the water even more, trying to cover herself up as much as possible. She frowned and the glared once her eyes were fully on the incubus. It took her a moment for her mind to fully go over his words.
“You,” she said with a harsh sigh. “Can I not have a moment of peace from you? Especially now when I am bathing? What in the hell do you want anyways? To pester me relentlessly like normal? I would enjoy some privacy. I am bathing.”

"I didn't notice," he said with a serene grin as he arched an eyebrow. "And of course, that is my only reason to actually come out this far away from civilization, to pester you. I was merely curious as to where you are going, why you are going and that sort of matter," he said with a wave of his hand.
"Now, don't glare at me like that, you know you like the attention you get from me," he said with an impish grin, perhaps letting on to things that were better left unsaid. "Now if you really want to be left alone, you can ask me nicely instead of glaring at me as if I am the most repulsive thing you have come across."

“Well, then go away so I can finish my bath,” she said to Lucien, waving her hand at him in a gesture that suggested for him to go away. “Go make yourself useful in some way. Start cooking my dinner or something of that sort. Just let me get out in peace and alone. I think I deserve that much. Go on, go.”
There was a faint blush burning into Ayvajin’s cheeks that could have been any emotion from embarrassment to anger. She really did not allow anyone to see her naked in any sort of way, so she really wanted the incubus to leave her be.

Lucien chuckled before rising, giving the flushed necromancer a half bow. "As the lady commands," he said with an impish grin before turning and deciding to go ahead and cook the necromancer's dinner. He crouched in front of the fire, and with a snap of his fingers had it going enough to cook a comfortable dinner for her.
Setting a pot he retrieved from her pack on the stove, Lucien set about actually preparing her food. He knew how to cook, which was a rarity among the magickal creatures, and sometimes would cook if he was extremely bored or couldn't find someone to feed on. Sitting back on his heels, he stirred the pot.

Ayvajin quickly finished cleaning herself up, not wanting Lucien to come back over to the creek and see her still wet and naked. She got out and dried herself off before putting on some clothes. She came back to where she had set her equipment down, looking at the incubus as she entered the clearing.
“Well, you actually listened to me. That is a surprise,” she said as she walked around and sat on the opposite side of the fire from him. “You did not put poison in it or anything like that did you?” she asked with a smile, eyebrow raised.

"Poisoning you would be no fun," he stated from his position by the fire, idly stirring what was in the pot. "And besides, I don't want you dead, just in my bed."
The King of the Incubi was a blunt sort of person when the situation warranted it and with the necromancer there was no real need to toe the line anymore, since she knew who and what he was now. He ran a hand through his long hair, pushing it out of his handsome face as he concentrated on cooking.
"Enjoy what was left of your bath, my little necromancer?" he asked with a slight grin to his lips.

“I suppose I did,” she said, looking away from Lucien. It was almost unnerving dealing with the king of the incubi, especially knowing that he was looking to sleep with her. “It was just a bath. I think it would have been more enjoyable if I had not been disturbed in the first place, but I guess that cannot be helped when I have someone like you stalking me.”
Ayvajin sat up a bit more and looked into the pot at what he was cooking. “So, what exactly are you making for me to eat?” she asked Lucien, curiously.

"Food," was all he said with a casual shrug as he lifted his eyes to meet hers and gave her a charming grin. "Or were you looking for a more specific answer?" he asked.
Lucien was not going to dispute the 'stalking' claim, since it was indeed pretty much what he was doing from time to time. He did not feed on her, nor had he invaded her dreams anymore, keeping to his word that he had given in the marketplace. He was honorable, when he gave his word and did not go back on it, no matter the circumstance. It was a trait that both endeared him and made others think he was weak. Not that it mattered to him, he could fight well enough to keep the throne of the Incubi.

“I was looking for more of a specific answer,” she responded, her eyes shifting back down to the food that was cooking. “It would be nice if you could answer me straight.”
Ayvajin really did not care what the food was as long as it was edible. It had been a long while since she had eaten. At that moment, eating sounded wonderful.
“But what were you going to question me about, curious little incubus? You acted like you had a ton of questions lined up to ask me. If you do, you should just get on with questioning me.”

"It was a curiosity as to why you were traveling alone and where were you going, and if I had no clue, then why," he said with a slight shrug as he rose from his spot to sit on fallen log across from the fire from her. "And as for your food, a stew. Now eat, little necromancer," he said with a grin.
He reclined back in his seat, content to watch her as he stretched his legs out in front of him, arms propped up on the huge log that he was sitting on. "You will need your strength if you plan to travel North."

Ayvajin stood up and got a bowl out from her equipment before walking back over to where she had been seated. She dipped out some of the stew for herself before sitting back down and starting to eat.
“I am going up to the Sanctuary,” she answered Lucien. “I have been there many times before, but I seek guidance from the ancient. He has always been able to help me with whatever questions may be upon my mind. He has yet to fail in his knowledge and everything he says is true.”
The necromancer let out a sigh as she relaxed a bit more and took another bite. It was true. The first necromancer seemed to have countless answers.
“Thank you for cooking for me.”

Lucien nodded, dropping his gaze to take in the woods around them and the setting sun. He had decided to only bug the necromancer for a moment and let her be at night, but decided he would let her be the judge of when he was to leave. "You are welcome, my little necromancer," he said with a grin as his gaze flicked back to her momentarily..
"It is well and good you have someone you can turn to for answers. It must be very beneficial. Now, he would probably tell you to get some sleep as it will be dark soon and you need your strength while still in friendly lands, little Ayvajin."

Ayvajin looked up to Lucien, eyebrow raised. “I doubt he would call me ‘little Ayvajin’, though,” she commented. “He is not one to give me pet names like you apparently are.” She finished off the stew that was in her bowl before setting the bowl upon the ground.
The necromancer laid back upon the ground, stretching out and relaxing. She slipped her arms behind her head, letting out a soft sigh. Ayvajin closed her eyes a bit, just enjoying the cool breeze that blew across her face.
“Why do you call me little anyways? I am not that small.”

The Incubi chuckled from his position. "You are younger than I am, smaller than I am, and less powerful than I am. So to me, you are little," he said with a shrug as he turned back to watch her with neutral eyes. "But if you would like, I shall leave you this night, necromancer," he offered with an arched eyebrow.
"But remember that I am not like he is, nor is he like I am. We are two separate entities though our paths may cross, he is one that can keep me out. Perhaps if you care enough or I irritate you enough, you can seek that from him as well," Lucien said, offering her what would be a solace from him.

The necromancer let out a slow sigh before glancing over at Lucien. “I suppose you do not have to go,” she said to him. “I really do not mind. You have not started to try to make me fall asleep or invade my dreams, so your company is tolerable.”
Ayvajin sent the incubus a smile before letting her eyes look back toward the sky. “You made me dinner, so I think the polite thing to do would be to allow you to stay and be entertained by my company.” She thought for another moment. “And I do not think I will have to requested to have you banished from here.”

Lucien shrugged, sending her a quiet smile as he continued to watch the creatures of the night come out of the forest. "You do not have to be polite with me, necromancer," he said with a shake of his head. "This is your plane and I am merely a transient guest, passing through. Here you have more control than I do," he told her as he stretched his frame out.
"So this night I shall cater to your whims, little one," he said with a smile on his lips as he turned back to look at her, dark eyes taking in her frame.

“And I thought it was the other way around. The king gets what the king wants, remember? Or was that day too long ago for you to remember.” She sent him another smile before propping herself up on her elbows to get a better look at the incubus.
“I would not know what to do with you anyways,” she said, pushing a bit of hair out of her face. “I mean, really. What whims do you think I have? There is really nothing that comes to my mind.”
The necromancer was a fairly simple creature after all. Having the king of the incubi in front of her offering to do whatever she pleased was quite a challenging and awkward thin for her.

He sent her a patient smile and waved a hand, as if dismissing her sentiment. "I would not offer it if it were something I did not want, would I?" he asked with a sparkle in his eye as he regarded her.
"Do you wish for me to stand guard while you sleep so you will not be wasting energy? Or would you prefer I leave you be once you fall asleep?" he asked as he regarded her. "There are always things we want for someone to do for us and it is rare that someone offers them, so look inside you necromancer and decide what you want for me to do for you."
