“I suppose I just want a bit of company,” she said with a slight shrug. “I tend not to fall asleep until late, and I cannot help this. I have tried falling asleep early before, but I just assume I am not constructed to do so.”
Ayvajin looked away in thought. “So, more or less, just entertain me until I finally fall asleep. That is all I could really ask for. I am always awake alone at the late hours, and I can be honest I really do not like being nocturnal without something to do or someone to talk to.”

"Very well," he said with a nod. "What would you like me to do? Tell you a story of before you were born? Regale you with a fairy tale? Or would you rather I put you to sleep?" he asked as he arched an eyebrow and took a seat near the fire, stirring it up a bit for her comfort rather than his.
He preferred it being cold rather than hot, and that was a tell tale sign he was in a room, it being colder than normal unless it was winter. "It is entirely up to you how you wish for me to entertain you, lady necromancer," he said.

“You choose; I do not mind.” She rolled onto her side, resting her head upon her arm as she looked over to Lucien with lazy eyes. She enjoyed how the heat felt upon her skin. She did not need the warmth. The cold nights never bothered her. She was rather immune to coolness.
“I suppose, I get tired of being alone every once in a while, especially at night. I seem to never have anyone to really talk to anymore. So, I suppose, I should thank you for your company even though you are a bit of a pest.”

"A pest you do not mind looking at," he said with a playful grin, watching her movements with a calm eye. "I suppose I can tell you a story of when I was younger, a hatchling if you will," he said with a laugh.
"Of course, you will no doubt not be surprised at it, but it will be an entertainment nonetheless," he said as he pushed his hand through his hair, looking off into the sky as he gathered his thoughts. It was a long time ago that he had been a hatchling and now he was trying to remember it for the sake of a necromancer that he was interested in.

“Tell me whatever story you would like to,” she said with a smile, watching the king of the incubi. “I am sure that anything story you have to tell me will be something I have not even come close to hearing about. So, go ahead. Enlighten me. Tell me about the times when you were a hatchling. A little no name.”
Ayvajin sent him another smile, already entertained by Lucien. So, it had definitely taken a while for her to tolerate and actually hold a conversation with the demonic creature. She was going to try and enjoy this as much as possible.

"I'm over 18,000 years old, little necromancer. This was a long time ago, when I had not yet been given a name. Forgive me if it takes some time for the memories to come back," he said with a slight smile as he tilted his head to the side, remembering something.
"This is one I'm sure you will like. A botched attempt at infiltrating a dream," he said with a light laugh.
"I was about 100 years old at the time, more like 10 if we want to use human equivalencies. It was the first time I was to do it and with supervision, of course we had trained and watched our teachers do it many times as well as practiced on succubi," he began, explaining things to her.
In the end he had somehow infiltrated a nightmare that the girl was having and she awoke from it, finding both incubi in her room and promptly screamed, his teacher sending the girl to sleep but not before she had woken her family.

Ayvajin gave a laugh at the end of the story. “To think at one point you were a novice,” she said, amused. “I would have never guessed it.”
The necromancer gave another laugh before turning back over onto her back and looking up at the sky. “To think, I am still young enough to remember back to my younger days with ease. The days when everything was new to me. Days when I had not even traveled out of my small village in the desert. Hmm…”
Ayvajin did love thinking about the days when she was young and had just found out about her powers.

Lucien smiled, shaking his head. "Did you think we were all born with these abilities?" he asked with a laugh. "But cherish these days and do not forget them, necromancer. You will too have a time that you must try to relate to a pupil. Remember them well and keep thinking of them often. It is when you focus only on the now do you forget how good the past was," he said.
Lucien stretched his arms up, leaning back to look up at the stars twinkling in the sky and taking note of several shooting stars that streaked across.

She watched him closely. “I do cherish every day of my life and every past day. There are some things that I will never forget.”
She let out a sigh as her memories ran wild for a long moment. She thought about her childhood and her parents who were long gone. She thought of her teacher Rion. She thought of him often, though, so this was no surprise. Ayvajin chewed on her lip before finally pulling herself away from her thoughts.
“I am rather impressed by you, though. You have not tried to make some sort of a move on me tonight. Good job, little incubus.”

"What need is there for me too?" he asked as he tilted his head to the side to study her with thoughtfulness. "You are merely entertainment, not some feeding that I need to partake in. As delightful as the option may seem, necromancers do not offer much in the way of a feeding for us. We tend to need humans who more easily give in to the desires of their hearts."
Lucien turned his gaze from her again to study the forest around them, letting the fire die slowly as the night rose around them. He was not so concerned with anyone attacking, knowing full well the necromancer would take care of herself.

“You were the one admitting to wanting me in your bed,” she said with an eyebrow raised. “Oh, please, do explain that little desire of yours. You want to sleep with me, but yet, I am here merely for your entertainment. I do not understand you at all. So, please, try to explain this to me.”
Ayvajin eyed him with a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Go on, my dear king. Do tell. Let me in on those thoughts of yours.” She rolled over to face him, laying upon her stomach as her eyes looked up at him.

"That shall be a story for another time," the King of the Incubi said with a laugh as he waved a hand. "Now calm down and rest little necromancer. You need sleep because the night wanes," he pointed out.
Indeed it did. The fire had died out, leaving them in the glow of the stars as well as the company of the night creatures of the forest. He stretched his legs out in front of him, content to sit there and play guard while the necromancer slept. He had no desire to invade her dreams again unless given express permission, which in itself was highly unlikely.

The necromancer stuck out her bottom lip in a pout gesture as she looked at Lucien. “You are no fun,” she said, resting her head on her arms once more. “You should help me get to sleep, Lucien. I am still quite wide awake. When you do, do not be so violent about it. Last time was a bit much for this little necromancer.”
Ayvajin closed her eyes as she relaxed upon the ground. “What do you plan on doing once I am asleep anyways? Just sit there doing nothing? Or will you be stalking me in my dreams again?”

"I won't invade your dreams, necromancer. I gave you my word on that," he said with a chuckle as he came over to crouch in front of her. "Then if you want it gentle, allow me a kiss?" he asked as he placed a hand under her chin.
He would ask for permission because he respected her, not because he was a true gentleman. He liked the necromancer, perhaps a bit more than he should have, although there were no people that could truly dispute what he wanted to do and who he decided to like. "Your dreams are your own now, little necromancer, unless you wish for me to invade them."

Ayvajin thought for a moment. “I will only allow you in my dreams if you are going to entertain me there and not try to trick me anymore,” she said, looking back to the incubus.
The necromancer smiled as she debated whether or not to allow him to kiss her. Her eyes drifted to the side in thought before moving back up to Lucien’s face.
“I suppose that I will allow you to kiss me, since you asked instead of just taking like last time. So, I will allow you such an indulgence.” Ayvajin sent him another smile.

Lucien sent her a calm smile as he shook his head. "Perhaps another night I shall join you. I need to feed this night and time grows short as it is. Until then, good night little necromancer," he said.
Leaning forward and cradling her face in his hands, he lay a tender kiss on her lips, breathing a sleeping spell into her. It was a kiss that may have passed between lovers but it was a kiss that he knew how to make. Pulling back from it, he left a chaste one on her lips as a final kiss and gently lay her back down before he shimmered and sent his other half into the dream world to feed while he decided to stand guard for her.
