”Find the yellow ball and win double your money. “
His vocals screamed into the air as hands flashed across the tin cups. The table infront of him ricketing back and forth with each movement of his hands in a fury. A yellow ball was placed under the middle cup before he began twirling them around on the surface, moments later revealing the little ball was in the middle tin. Reno flashed a deviant smile to whomever was passing by before repeating his previous words and actions.
The night was still young but the dusk had fallen quick some time ago. People still had time to bustle to the shops and work before heading home for the evening, and Reno was just setting up shop. Perhaps only being able to work during night time hours had some set backs, but there was nothing he could do about it now was there? Death, or second death, was not an option for him. Reno set his fangs into a flash before quickly removing them from site as a pair with a child came up.
”C’mon runt, give it a shot!”
Apparently calling a kid ‘runt’was a bad thing to do for business as he ran away crying. His parents both ‘tsking’ at him as they walked away. Stupid humans, he could rip out their throats and steal their coin if he didn’t have to stay at his post. After all, his suitcase of tricks was worth more to him then 20 coin! Reno shook his head as red flocks shifted position before lifting his head again in that false entertaining smile. Handsome features looking quite delicate under the light as he began the trick again.

She'd been watching him from the shadows out of curiousity, but had since ventured forth out of concern for those around her. He seemed mildly annoyed, and in her experience, mildy annoyed and vampire were three words that did not go together. So she stalked up to the table and laid down a small bag of gold, smiling benignly if only to distract him. There was no need for anymore bloodshed thenw as necessary, after all.
"I think I would like to play," the thief told him, eyes watching the ball carefully. "Hundred gold coins enough?"
Of course, if she lost then she would be sleeping out on the streets again, but Ro had been on the circuit for a while herself, so tricking others was part of her forte. Chances were if she lost this bit (which she was confident she wouldn't), she always find the local noble's house and rob him blind. Usually she would put on a quick show, but obviously it was too late to do it now. One of these days she was going to need to learn to think ahead.

Reno was watching as she approached, eyebrows both raising at the amount she had offered but he would not question it. Eyes drifted from her head to toe before a grin overtook his features slowly, looking both charming and goofy on his face. Now business was slow and if for any chance she did find the ball, at a 100 coin he would be broke and sleeping in a cave. Which of course was never very comfortable, and in the end he would probably just go and steal it back later in the night. It was a win win and he was always ready for a
“Sure thang little ladeh if your sure, No refunds.”
The vampire grinned without any fangs showing, fingers grabbing the ball and throwing it in the air, holding out one of the cups out and it landed in it before he slammed it down on his table. Spinning with three cups as he moved them fairly slow at first, lifting the middle one to show her the yellow ball was still in there. His voice was smooth as he spoke, with a slight rough twang to it while he began the instructions.
”Keep your eye on the ball. Go.
His hands flung the cups, spiralling them around before stopping a few seconds later. His hands being removed from the tin cups. Tilting back on his heels a bit as he stared at her, that grin still in place. One hand moving from it’s crossed position over his chest to point at the cups.
“Ya Choice, Pick wrong and I get to sleep on a bed in the mornin, Pick right and you win 200 coin.”

Ro blinked as she watched the the cups move in almost a blur until they stopped, almost as if they hadn't moved at all. Impressive. She stood there in silent thought, regarding the silver cups as if they held some great mystery and some great tragedy. Do I hold the secret to saving your life? one seemed to whisper seductively while another was saying Am I the key to your downfall? and still the third was promising that all would be well if she just picked it.
Of course, none of this was actually going on (Ro always like to overdramatize things in her head when playing games like this), and so she reached forward and pointed to the cup on the far left. "This one," she said, a hint of mischief in her smile.

Reno was watching her as she studied the cups with more intensity then he had seen in a while. Mostly people just plucked a cup up to see for themselves. Reno already knew what cup held the ball and it was not the one she had chosen. “Are you sure? Very sure? Reno grinned slightly and lifted the cup up to reveal there was no yellow ball, a smug smile presenting to his lips as both brows lifted upwards. “No ball. You have lost at not finding the ball, “
The vampire jingled the bag of coins before asking if she wanted “another try” at finding the yellow ball. He was very much relieved, he would not have to sleep in a cave or go hunting. Fabulous.

She smiled a most enchanting smile before uncurling her other hand to reveal the ball resting innocently in her palm. "Sure, if you have anymore money to play with," she replied in singsong, reaching over to put the ball under the cup she had chosen. The fact that he had missed her hand darting out to steal the ball as he was sealing the cup over showed just how good she had gotten at her art, and the pretty little grin showed just how proud of herself she was. "I belive that that was checkmate, yes?" Ro asked with a giggle, holding her hand out for the gold he owed.

Reno’s brows rose up as he watched Ro show the ball in her palm. Damn. He was a little to relaxed tonight apparently. A scowl came across his face as he looked at her, taking a step back before a grin came to his features. “Perhaps. But I believe you cheated. And cheats do not ever win.” Reno let a small grin show on his lips as he dangled the coin between them between his finger tips. He did not want to sleep in a cave. Fuck that shit, definately not.

"You never specified what I could and could not do," she pointed out, hand still waiting for the gold to be returned in double it's weight. "Just that I had to make sure the ball was under the cup I picked. Well it's there, so give me my money. I'd rather not sleep in a box tonight myself."
Ro was alot more vocal about her own situation then he was, so she had no qualms about saying it out loud; after all, once you'd had to steal garbage just to survive, you pretty much had no dignity left. That and the fact that the only pride she had came as a thief. Anything else could take a back seat.
