Arikka meandered through the swamplands casually, making her way to Shempii to sell her latest piece, crafted of a brilliant emerald. She had bought it off of a lone merchant in the forest and set up a small, makeshift 'forge' overnight to create a simple chain. The lush, ivy coloring of the gem made up for the slack design of the chain that it had been mounted upon, so she expected the necklace to pay for meals for at least a few weeks.
She stepped into a large puddle of thick mud, so thick in fact that her foot did not sink. Arikka pulled it out in disgust, wiping the grime off of her favorite hiking shoes. They were more like slippers, but durable and had lasted for many years. Still, they were already stained with muck and miscellaneous substances in an array of colors. She backed up out of the puddle and bumped into someone.
"Oh, I'm so sorry," Arikka quickly apologized. She was never much of a klutz, but bumping into someone still made her feel awkward.

To find her. Celestine had been traveling through the swampland for some time. He did not understand why it was so difficult to travel over the land. He was getting angry with the amount of times he had fallen in the mud. The half breed was definitely not the most graceful person out there, especially when he was lost in his thoughts.
He had been desperately trying to find his sister Cecilia. He really not know where to look, but yet, something told him he was headed in the right direction. Call it a twin thing, but he seemed to always know the general direction of his sister.
The half breed paused in his walking to catch his breath. He pulled a canteen from his side, taking off the cap and taking a drink. He was not paying much attention to his surroundings until he felt something hit up against his back. Celestine startled, water splashing out of his canteen and all over his face. He turned quickly to see how had bumped into him, and he found the girl who was quick with apologies.
