His eyes stared from beneath the dark fabric at this soulstealer before him, sizing him up. 'Cause of the most recent attack from the priests, his mind was not all together and over all paranoid of everyone around. No one could truly understand what Cait meant to him. She was quite literally the only family he had and he wasn't about to lose her for nothing! He would die before she left his side. However, his attention was diverted as Cait's arms wrapped around his waist and he stared down at her. Chuckling softly, he used his free hand to hug her in return as he 'kissed' the top of her head, "No worries, little sister, I am not hurt too bad," he stated, "the priests however..." he paused and let the silence fill the rest. Staring back up at the soulstealer, he glared at him from beneath his cloth skin, "A new friend of yours Cait or simply no one of importance?" he queried towards Cait, acting as if Ty wasn't even there to hear it. 'Course, he also said it loud enough for Ty to hear, mostly to insult him. Kel didn't take too kindly to strangers, especially with all the things that have happened recently. This made him extra cautious about everyone. Who could honestly blame him though?

The soulstealer leaned back on his hands, observing the two now. He did not care about Caitlyin’s big brother’s words. There was no reason to truly get upset over them. He truly had no reason to get insulted or upset. If Caitlyin wanted to consider Tyebolt her friend, she could. If she didn’t, well, she just didn’t. It wasn’t up to Tyebolt to decide.
“I am not threat to the two of you,” he said to Kel. “I am but a friendly passerby. Caitlyin, you should show your big brother the little bunny.”

Cait chewed on her lip and shifted on her feet, thinking over her options of declaring Tyebolt a friend. Of course that would mean that big brother probably wouldn't kill him and she'd have a new playmate, but then again she traveled so often that it hardly mattered. She looked down once, to Tyebolt, back to her big brother before she nodded. "He's a new friend," she said softly, hugging her big brother again.
Tye's voice drew her out of her thoughts and she remembered the bunny, the truly happy and childish smile she had spreading over her lips as she fairly bounced on her feet. "It's a baby!" she chirped, taking the demon's hand and bouncing around, happy again.

Even with Cait declaring this man her new friend, Kel still didn't trust him. The man seemed too old to have a friend like Cait and that in itself made Kel question this man's motives. His eyes examined Ty even more, debating on what he was going to do with this man. However, his thoughts were interjected when Cait had grabbed his hand and started bouncing around. Staring down at her, he shook his head softly, "A baby, huh?" he mused in return before his head rose to stare back at Tye. "So, you have a name, stranger?" he queried towards Tye, uncaring if he didn't give his own name. Kel didn't trust anyone with his real name, they always got the one he called himself, The Puppet Master. It was far better that way for him. "Also, you better not do anything to Cait. You hurt her or try to steal her away, I will hurt you," he warned the soul stealer. Kel didn't care how old this man was and how much more experience he had, when it came down to it, he'd fight to keep Cait by his side. She was his only family after all and one always fight for their families.

“No reason to be hostile,” Tyebolt said with a slight smile. “I wasn’t planning on harming her in anyway, so do not worry too hard on that one. I would not force her to do something she did not want. I am a gentleman.”
The soulstealer rotated his shoulders for a moment before responding to Caitlyin’s big brother’s first question. “My name is Tyebolt. Perhaps, you have heard of me during your travels. I am a rather well known painter from Shempii. I mean no hostility to you or your sister.”

Caitlyin didn't care about the conflict between the two and pouted up at her big brother, blinking wide violet eyes at him as she tugged on his hand once more. She couldn't budge him if he didn't want to move, but she wanted to show him the baby bunny. She thought it was cute and adored baby animals, always happy to play with them if she came across them in the travels with big brother.
"He's adorable, you have to see him!" she said, releasing his hand and scurrying back over to where she had tucked the baby rabbit into the woven basket. Along the way, she had picked Bun Bun up and tucked her beloved stuffed rabbit into her pocket safely, where he could not get lost. Carefully cradling the basket to her, she delicately made her way back to her big brother, each step steady with a dancer's grace.
Reaching her brother, she held the basket for him to see. "Isn't he cute?" she gushed, a bright smile on her face.

Even with Ty's reassuring words, Kel still thought this man was nothing more then a thief and a liar. For now though, he'd just watch this man very carefully when he was around Cait. There was no point in starting a fight now if his words were true, but only time would tell if they are. Diverting his attention towards his tugged on arm, he stared at Cait and gave a gentle smile beneath his 'skin' and watched as she bounded off towards the basket. Simply watching Cait made him wonder if she could ever have a job as a dancer, a proper one at that. She held such grace that she rarely noticed and if he could find someone to teach her, she could probably make a normal living. As she held the basket up for him to see, he stared at the small white rabbit inside and chuckled, "Just adorable, what is his name?" he asked. There was no doubt that Cait had already named him, she had the tendency to do things like that. Though this is why he adored her so.
Listening to her words, he stared over at Ty once more, pondering if he should even say his own name or just leave it as is. The idea of leaving his name unsaid pleased him most as his eyes dropped back to Cait. No point in caring about one he didn't like, right? Least that's what Kel thought.

“She named him after you,” Tyebolt said to Caitlyin’s big brother, allowing him to know that the soulstealer had already figured out his name. “I now think the name is quite fitting.” He gave a smile despite his words.
The soulstealer relaxed against the grass, watching the two as they interacted with each other. It was clear how much the two cared for each other. Caitlyin seemed to be striving for every bit of Kel’s attention, while Kel continued to be over protective of her. How was this hard for priests to see? They were brother and sister despite their different blood.

Caitlyin tilted her head to the side, regarding the soulstealer with a curious gaze that seemed to have a weight to it. She had most certainly not told the soulstealer what her brother's name was and knew that others could figure it out, but saying it aloud was a different story. Violet eyes held a mysterious weight to them as she watched him, her body instinctively stepping closer to the demon.
Cait wasn't very fond of perceptive people, they always seemed to have ulterior motives, yet Tyebolt had not given her one and now she was suspicious of him. Dropping her eyes back to the tiny rabbit that had now woken up, she smiled slightly as she extended a finger to pet the fur.

Much like Cait, he wasn't please that this man knew his real name or worse yet that he was perceptive enough to figure it out. This disturbed Kel's brain as it began to form reasons why Ty would be here. 'He is not with the priests, so perhaps he seeks Cait for himself or maybe he's here to get to me,' he stated to himself as he watched Ty with every watchful eyes. There was something about this man that made Kel's insides turn and he simply despised this. Wrapping a protective arm around Cait's shoulders, he held her close to him, being the ever more protective brother that he was. However, he now took the time to holster his back-sword, now knowing that whatever this man was up to, it would be deceitful rather then upfront. There was no doubting that now. "Perceptive, are you," he questioned rhetorically, there was no need for an answer, it was clear what it was.

Tyebolt watched the two, knowing that they were both unease about how easily he could pick up on little details about people. He personally gave little thought to it. His age had wised him up to such things. Of course, they did not know his age or how much knowledge he truly held within him.
“There is no need to be so alarmed,” he assured them with a slight smile. “I mean you no threat. If I did, I would have strike you down already, Kel, I am not interested in hurting either of you, I assure you. I apologize for startling the two of you, though.”

He spoke his words, his weapons, with such conviction that only made Kel want to puke. There was no point in believing anything he said, it could just as much be a lie as could his entire reasoning for being here. Kel wasn't going to trust him that easily and he believed it was best not to. If his eyes could be seen, then everyone would notice the glare he gave them, but it was hidden beneath the cloth skin he wore upon his entire body. It hid what he was quite nicely and since he had removed both his wings and tail, no one could tell a thing about what he was beneath. As for his claws, they were filed down to look more like fingers of a normal person. Simply put, Kel hated what he was beneath the skin, so he hid it as best as he could. "Your words mean nothing," Kel stated honestly, "from what I can tell, they are your weapons, not your actions. You spin your words to lure in anyone willing to listen, so I cannot take anything you say for what it appears to be," he added on bluntly. What point was there to say that he trusted him when it was a lie. If Tye wanted to prove he was on their side, he'd have to prove it with actions, not words.

“You say this was no knowledge of what I truly am and what I am truly capable of,” Tyebolt said. “My words are weapons, you are right, but so are my actions. A true warrior can be able to strike down his opponent with verbal and physical damage. If you want me to show you my strength, I would happily do so.”
There was a reason for the soulstealer to be confident and flaunt it so. He was incredible powerful, despite his simple appearance. He had handled creatures stronger than Kel. Tyebolt was not looking for a fight, though, but by appearance Caitlyin’s big brother definitely was.
“I know it means nothing to you, but I mean you no harm.”

Cait made a small noise in the back of her throat, undoubtedly heard by the two males, as she pressed closer to the demon, edging behind him as if she were scared. She pressed her hands to her eyes, hiding her face behind them as blonde locks tumbled forward and around her face.
She had seen Kel fight before and what it entailed, and truthfully, she was not fond of it. At the moment though, she did not want to see big brother hurt and she could tell that the soulstealer was powerful and older than Kel. "No fighting," she said quietly.

Listening to how the soul stealer was implying a fight, Kel simply laughed and shook his head. Truly his words and desired actions were not going to gain anyone's trust. Shaking his head, he heard Cait speak and stared at her as she was partly hiding behind him now. "No need to worry. Your friend is just being brash and seemingly not thinking about his words, since I made no real threat against him, just spoke the truth. 'Course now he's in far deeper in the sink hole then he was before," he mused softly, patting Cait upon the head as he stared towards Ty. "As for you, I did not mean action as in against us, I meant if you say you won't harm us, then you'll have to prove it and earn my trust," Kel stated more clearly this time as he rolled his eyes. Either way, Kel was not liking Ty one bit and would prefer to remove him from their company for a looong time.

Tyebolt let out a sigh. He had done nothing to them, yet he had become the enemy. Kel was looking for things wrong with the soulstealer. He was looking for a reason to hate and mistrust. What had the soulstealer done? He had spent some time with Caitlyin and therefore had become the enemy. He had brought her a bunny and yet had become the trickster. He had given her candy and had become a threat.
“I wish to be your sister’s friend, that is all,” Tyebolt ended up saying, tired of these accusations on his behavior and his intentions.

Caitlyin sighed, tired of the fighting before she tugged on Kel's shoulder, bringing him down to her level so she could look at him with the conviction of a child. She put her hands on her hips as she stared at the demon, a determined looking making its way onto her face.
"He's my friend," she said, emphasizing the word before she crossed her arms and pouted slightly, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes. She just wanted one friend, and it didn't matter to her exactly what that friend was, as long as they didn't try to steal her from her big brother.
"So leave him alone, please," she finished.

It seemed as though both of them were against him, like it was his fault for trying to protect Cait. Truth be told, Kel didn't trust anyone and wasn't about to start. Pulled down to a kne, he was at Cait's level and stared at her as she made her own comments. Standing up, he lowered his head and felt rather defeated. Either way, he stared back at Cait, "I don't care who he is. I am your big brother and my job is to protect you and since I don't know a thing about your new friend, I won't trust him and I doubt I ever will anyways. Humanity is corrupted and I've seen it first hand. So you want to be his friend, fine. Just don't come crying to me after he kills you," he grunted. It was clear he wasn't pleased with this outcome as his gaze rose to Ty before he shook his head and turned on his heel. Kel didn't feel like sticking around at the moment, so without a single word more, he began to move back into the forest, uncaring what either had to really say cause he was done.

“If it helps, I’m not a part of humanity,” Tyebolt said with a kind smile to Caitlyin as Kel started to move away. He decided not to bother with her big brother anymore. There was no pleasing him. The soulstealer only hoped that the girl would not be too quick to follow after him at the moment.
Tyebolt stood up, stretching his legs in a quick motion and then his arms. “If you want to go after him, Caitlyin, I will understand,” he said to her with a sad smile. “He is your brother, and I can understand his want to protect you. But in the end, it is up to you what you will do.”

It was a quick process for her, watching her big brother walk away. Her lower lip stuck out slightly before it began to tremble. Tears pooled in her eyes before they spilled out down her cheeks, making her sniffle as she clutched her beloved stuffed rabbit to her, crying. She fell to her knees, her mood instantly gone and seeming as if her world had collapsed around her, which in a sense it had.
She was convinced that big brother hated her now.
Caitlyin buried her face in the body of her stuffed rabbit, her quiet sobs the only thing coming out of her red lips.
