Years of Natural Word {NW}
The time before the written word of Kcheiv and before a common language was known as the time of natural word. It was considered this time for every race came up with writing and language systems that were unique to their societies. Their systems were natural for their own specific species.
International contact was very difficult. In order for one nation to communicate with another, that nation would have to know how to write in the other nations writing and know the other nation’s language.
Most learned common hand gestures to help with the communication. This was very limited, though. Hand gestures were usually used when buying something from a shop or at places of trade.
This conflict from not having an international form of writing and language went on for thousands of years. Battles between nations started up accidentally from a lack of knowledge over certain nations’ customs. Many would say something in their own tongues that would cause confusion or a misunderstanding from another.
Many accepted this way of life, simply because the gods had shown them nothing different. The gods had given them voices and the skills to write, but had not given them a common language or writing style.
Kcheiv Years {KY}
After thousands of years, the gods passed down a common language and a common writing style to the ancients. The ancients, then, passed these common forms of communication down to the people of Yviex. The common language became known as Yvy and the common writing style became known as Kcheiv.
After these gifts were given to the people of Yviex, the start of a new age began. All nations started to record history with Kcheiv, and it came to an international decision that this would become the first year of the Kcheiv dating system. Year one is known as the beginning of Yvy and Kcheiv.
Though, this common form of language and writing as helped with communication throughout the lands, there was still plenty of conflict and battles between nations. Grudges between races still remained strong.
It was not until the Treaty of Peticvex when the wars between nations settled down and peace settled upon the land.
