The journey had been long and tiring like all journeys to the Sanctuary were. With the season’s change, the weather in the frozen lands had intensified. The winds had grown stronger and the snow seemed to never stop falling. The temperature had also dropped in this region of Yviex.
Reaching the Sanctuary was a blessing. The Sanctuary provided shelter from the elements. The temperature was much warmer here. The Sanctuary was meant to provide comfort to both the living and the dead. The building was also beautiful inside and outside which just added to the appeal of traveling here. The dead wanted to come here to enter the afterlife comfortable; the living wanted to come here to see their deceased loved ones.
The necromancer Ayvajin came to the Sanctuary often. On most visits to the Sanctuary, the young necromancer usually just came to visit the ancient Nyrivex. This visit to the Sactuary, though, was much different.
She had a purpose to be here, and that was to see her birth mother.
Ayvajin had been thinking about this for such a long time, so it seemed. The necromancer now had a want to see the spirit of her mother. She had decided that she had nothing to lose. She had finally decided that this would give her closure. This would allow her to move on with her life instead of just wandering who her birth mother had been, what she had looked like. After seeing the spirit of her mother, Ayvajin could put the mystery to the back of her mind.
Standing in the Room of Encountering, Ayvajin was getting up the courage to summon her mother. Her eyes were looking up at the gray sky as she thought.
It was an easy thing for her to summon a spirit. So very easy. Ayvajin let out a sigh. She would call her mother. Just one more moment.

Lucien sighed from his place off to the side, out of the way. He had appeared throughout her journey, helping her when she needed it most, but this was a journey she had to make on her own. The King of the Incubi knew that she wanted to see her mother, but he also knew that such things could be folly as well.
He ran a hand through his hair, watching the necromancer with the faintest traces of impatience shining through. "Either do it or do not. Don't waste time summoning up courage, it means that you are not ready," he said, his words not meant to be harsh but truth.

Ayvajin looked back to Lucien before giving a slight nod. “I going to do it,” she said softly as she looked away from the incubus again. She let out a soft sigh, closing her eyes.
The necromancer started to mutter under her breath. With summoning up most spirits, all that was required in this room was a simple thought. Ayvajin had never seen her mother, though. So, the necromancer had to do a summoning spell with what all she knew. Really, all she did know of her mother what just a name. Antoinette.
Ayvajin paused to look back at Lucien. She held out a hand toward him. “Please, stand beside me,” she said gently.

The King of the Incubi nodded, coming over to take her hand before he wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. "You will be fine, my little necromancer," he said as he lay a kiss on her cheek.
"Besides, she is your mother and not mine. You need to face her on your own, this is your area," he said, kissing down her neck and laying one on her shoulder. "You are strong, my little necromancer, and you should be able to face this. But I am here and will be here for as long as you need me," he said.

Ayvajin smiled a bit and nodded her head. “Thank you, Lucien,” she said softly. “You will be able to see her, but she will only be talking in a tongue that I can understand. Well, if she does talk. Most spirits tend to come, but not utter a single word.”
The necromancer looked back to where her attention had previously been. She started to mutter in the Language of the Dead once more. After a few more moments of her gentle chanting a spirit appeared in front of them, hovering a few feet away.
The spirit that appeared before them was Antoinette, Ayvajin’s mother. She was short in stature. Her hair was blonde in color and tied back out of her face. Her eyes, which were the same color as Ayvajin’s, were fixed upon her daughter. She was clothed in a long sleeved black dress and held tight to her frame. This spirit was easily recognized as Ayvajin’s mother. Her facial features were the same as her daughter’s.
The young necromancer slipped her hand over one of Lucien’s hands as she looked to Antoinette.

Lucien lay a gentle kiss on her temple, his free hand stroking her hip in a comforting gesture as he stood there, giving her support for this although she did not need all of it. The King of the Incubi understood the needing of physical contact and reassurance of another being at critical times, such as this.
He knew he would not understand the spirit without being told so, but he could easily see the resemblance between mother and daughter, guessing the dark hair came from her father who was a powerful creature in his own right, the necromancer's hair not turning white thanks to some remnants of her father's magick that still flowed through her.

A slow smile crossed over Ayvajin’s lips as she took in the appearance of her mother. The necromancer slowly called out to the spirit who answered her in an echo of her old voice. The conversation went on for quite a while. At one point, Ayvajin had decided to step away from Lucien to allow him to know that she could handle herself now.
The necromancer and the spirit sat and talked to each other for over an hour. At the end of the conversation, Ayvajin bid her mother farewell. Antoinette disappeared as the necromancer turned toward the incubus. There was a smile on her face as she went to Lucien and wrapped her arms tight around him.

Lucien wrapped his arms around her as well, holding her as his hands moved up and down her back in a comforting manner. His fingers trailed through her hair as he kissed the top of her head, just holding her until she was ready to talk to him and tell him what she had been talking to her mother about.
"You did well, little necromancer," he said with a smile, as his lips brushed against her ear with every word he spoke. "Now that you have met your birth parents, you can live the rest of your life in peace," he said, smiling down at her to show he was teasing.

“It is true, though,” Ayvajin said with a smile as she looked up at Lucien. She slipped an arm up around his neck before leaning up against him and kissing his lips. “More importantly, now I can completely decide what I am going to do with you.” She poked his nose before giving a laugh. She took his hand in hers, tugging him forward with her as she stepped toward the exit of the room.
“I can decide if you are worth keeping or not officially now,” the necromancer teased. Her eyes brightened up with amusement. “Are you worth keeping, Lucien?”

Lucien grinned, pulling her to him and pinning her against the wall in one quick movement, holding both her hands pinned by her wrists above her head. "That depends, little necromancer," he said with a predatory gleam in his eyes. "It depends entirely what you want from me," he said, his head slowly lowering, lips brushing against hers with the last word before he kissed her, stealing her breath and leaving her head spinning.
His free hand took the liberty of trailing down her body and exploring what had been offered to him as his lower body stood between her legs, pinning her quite well against the wall and his body.

Ayvajin’s breaths can in quick excited pants. Her heart was now pounding in her chest as he eyes watched Lucien eagerly. The necromancer gave a slight smile as she watched the incubus. She should have expected his actions, but she had not. He had taken her by surprise, and now he had her wanting so much more from him.
“Well, I just want you,” she said softly, her eyes searching his for what was going through his head. “And you keep making me know this with every little thing you do. Now, do not leave me hanging, Lucien. Finish what you started.”
Ayvajin gave another smile, her eyes bright with want and excitement.

The King of the Incubi grinned, a slow and lazy one spreading across his lips as he deliberately slowed his movements down, dragging them out across the necromancer's skin, finally freeing her hands so he could have both of his hands explore her body, bringing forth the sounds he loved oh so much.
His hands came up to tangle in her hair as he pulled her into a rough kiss, clearly dominating their scene at the moment. The Incubi had no problems having sex in potentially public places, but there was no one else really here to worry about for the necromancer's comfort. He dragged his lips from hers, kissing and nipping at her neck and down to her collar bone before dragging them up her skin to nibble at her ear.

Ayvajin’s hands gripped both sides of Lucien’s shirt and pulled him close to her. She kissed his lips roughly, nipping at them a bit before pulling off his shirt. The necromancer tossed the shirt away from them before allowing her hands to explore the incubus’s body.
Her hands moved down to his pants as she let out a quick moan of excitement. She kissed his lips again, her hands working to pull off his pants. One of her arms slipped around his neck, pulling Lucien close again.
The necromancer didn’t mind that they were doing this here. She wanted Lucien right at this moment, and she had no want to wait for him.

Lucien chuckled at her eagerness, more than happy to comply as his hands easily divested her of her dress, exposing her body to him before he picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist as he pinned her to the wall.
He kissed her again, one arm easily holding her up because of his magickal strength, his other hand tangling in her hair as he kissed her harshly, taking dominance once more before he thrust against her in one quick movement, stealing her breath and pinning her completely against the wall.
They finished and Lucien smiled, a lazy smile that promised more wicked things to come her way once she regained her energy and the ability to walk. He kissed her gently before he set her down, handing her a dress and magicking his own clothes back on.

“You seem to never let me down,” Ayvajin breathed as she took the dress and clumsily put it on. The necromancer was still panting a bit, trying to regain her normal breathing. She gave a slight smile, standing up against the wall. Her legs were still trembling a bit, and she needed a moment to regain herself.
“At least you know how to keep me around,” she said with a slight smile as she looked to the incubus. “I am sure you have some more tricks up your sleeves that you plan on showing me at some point.”

Lucien chuckled, drawing her to him so he could take her lips in a breath stealing kiss again, his hands wandering up and down her back over her clothes as he pressed her against his body tightly. "I know a myriad of things to make you want to keep coming around and stay around," he chuckled, his lips brushing against hers as he spoke.
"I am the King of the Incubi after all," he pointed out. "I have more tricks than you could even imagine," he said as he devoured her lips in another head spinning kiss, pulling back with a lazy grin on his lips.

Ayvajin grinned as her eyes drifted to his. “You do not even need all these tricks to keep me wanting to be with you,” she said, shaking her head slightly. “You do not need any of this. If we never had sex again, I could live with that, because I love you.”
She smiled a bit, looking away from Lucien for a moment. “One simple thing would keep me to you forever and you know that, Lucien.” Ayvajin smiled a bit more, eyes flashing back over to the incubus. She leaned up against him, kissing his lips gently.
“We should go back to my room, now.”

"Demanding, are we?" he chuckled as he kissed her again, moving away so she could lead the way back to her room. "But I love you as well, my little necromancer," he said as he wrapped an arm around her waist, fingers tracing little patterns there as they walked.
"But we shall see where things take us," he said, knowing that they would come together fully one day, but not wanting to rush it at all, despite how much the necromancer Ayvajin may want to, he was patient when it came to long time decisions that would affect many lives.

Ayvajin let out a small sigh, shaking her head a bit as they walked. “You definitely are the king of the incubi for a reason,” she said, a teasing tone to her voice. “You definitely know how to show a girl a good time, but when it comes to actually commitment, well… That is another story.”
The necromancer quickly sent him a smile before leaning up and kissing Lucien’s lips. She loved him so very dearly and hoped he would not take her words in offense. Ayvajin was just looking for the one thing that would be the symbol of them being together.

Lucien smiled, shaking his head gently, as if he could read her thoughts. "You are rather impatient," he said as he watched her. He of course took no offense at her words, knowing them to be rather true. It was not his fault that his race did not commit to others, it was their nature, but he was different from them in a few ways.
The King of the Incubi smiled as he drew her close to him, leaning down and kissing her lips. "Do not rush things and put it from your mind for the time being," he said as he watched her. "It is always folly to rush into things," Lucien continued, speaking the truth.
