Ajjrian sighed and looked up at the clock, it was time to get to work. He was closing today and he needed to make enough tip money to pay off rent for the month. He didn't make enough the night before as he had hoped to. Stretching as he got up he packed a bag of clothes, brushed his teeth and found his shoes. His eyes narrowed as he tried to locate his belt. Kneeling down he looked under the bed and grabbed it.
Making sure everything was packed, he opened a window on his roof, showing the dusky sky as the sun began to sink over the horizon. Slowly, Ajjrian shifted and morphed into a hawk. Grabbing his bag with one of his huge claws, he flew up into the air and out the window.
Having the hawks eyes gave him a new perspective of the world, he noticed every twig snapping or even a mouse poking his head out to check if the coast was clear. The Rextri Inn was coming into sight as he flew a little higher. Already, Ajjrian could see and hear how quiet his night was going to be.

Levidrona had just entered Abourno. The thief had been traveling through the mountains for some time, and she was really glad to get away from the terrible terrain. The city was really inviting, despite her lack of money but this could be remedied.
After a few moments of walking down the street, Levi had already pick pocketed a few of the locals and now was counting up the coins. She was hoping that she had enough to at least rent out a room at the local inn. The human really needed a bit of relaxation, and a night on an actual bed could bring her some comfort.
Levidrona chewed on her lip as she slowly made her way to the inn. She was unsure if she had enough money for at least one night. Well, if she didn’t, the most she had to do was swipe out one of the room keys. That would be simple enough. That or she could hope for a bit of pity from the inn keeper. The human kept her hopes up.

Ajjrian aimed his landing at the bathroom window. Tapping it open he flew to a stall where he shifted into his human form. He heard a bump and a curse from the stall over. Smiling, he said, "Sorry John." It was his other co-worker who was probably getting ready to leave his shift.
"You need some sort of a warning system if you're going to appear out of no where like that," John said. Ajjrian could picture a scowl on the guys pockmarked face. "I'll work on that," Ajjrian replied sarcastically as he put some clothes on. Slicking his hair back, he picked up his bag and walked out of the bathroom.
John left, leaving Ajjrian to attend to the front desk where he was in charge of getting people rooms. Sighing he put his bag down and checked the list of rooms they had available. This part of the job was the slowest, seeing as they mostly got about one or two customers a week. Pulling the chair up so that he could sit comfortably he looked up and noticed a woman with dark hair walking in.
"May I help you?" he asked with a smile.

Levi looked to the man who was sitting behind the front desk. She observed him, sizing him up for all he was worth. The thief was rather skilled at figuring people out. The human could usually find out if the person would take pity on her or throw her out in the matter of a glance.
Levidrona walked up to the desk and leaned on it, her eyes flashing over the keys for a quick moment before looking back to the man behind the counter.
“I need a room,” she said with a slight smile, her knuckles drumming on the tabletop. She was unsure if she had enough money or not for a room, but if she did not she would definitely figure something out.

Ajjrian felt like she was staring through him like an x-ray. He drummed his fingers for a second and smiled. "Of course," he turned around and grabbed the notebook again. "Room for one?" he asked. He didn't see anyone else around but who knew, maybe someone would come later.
He flipped to the available rooms and thought about which one would be best, especially if she were by herself. "Room number eight has a beautiful view of the town." he pushed the notebook forward with a pen for her to sign her name. Turning around he grabbed the key and waited for her to sign. "It'll be twenty coins for the night." he said facing her again.

Levidrona looked took the notebook before looking down at her pouch of money upon her hip. She put her pouch up on the counter, looking to see how many coins she had inside. She counted them out underneath her breath, only finding twelve.
Running a hand through her hair, the thief looked up to the man behind the desk with innocent, sad stricken eyes. “I only have twelve coins,” she said softly, her body showing how much this caused her to become upset. “I really have nowhere else to stay either. I have no relatives here.”

Sighing, Ajjrian looked up at the girl. He ran a hand through his own hair and thought about it for a second. They did have some smaller less desirable rooms that weren't worth the twenty they usually charged.
His green eyes continued to observe the girl, wondering if he should go ahead and just charge the girl 10 coins for a less desirable room. He let out a long breath and decided to go ahead with it.
"Ok well we do have some not-so-great rooms downstairs. No windows, a tiny bed and its very small. There is also no shower just a toilet and a sink." he explained to her. "Since they aren't worth the 20 coins I'll let you in for 10." He put the original key back and went under the desk for the ring of keys to the downstairs rooms.
"Are you ok with that?" Ajjrian asked the guest.

Levidrona nodded her head eagerly, smiling brightly to the inn keeper. “You are too kind, really,” the thief said, flashing her eyes at the man. She pulled out ten coins and put them on the counter for him to take from her. She fastened her pouch one more to her hip.
“The room will just be fine, I’m sure. I have slept in worse places than small beds. It is much better than sleeping out in the cold mountain air upon the ground. I do thank you so very much for this kind offer, sir.”
Levi stepped back and waited for the inn keeper to lead her down to the room.

Taking the coins and adding them to the register, Ajjrian puts the sign in sheet away and double checks to make sure he has the right key ring.
He motioned for the guest to follow him and as he comes to a closet he opens it and grabs 2 pillows and a blanket. "You'll be needing these." he said with a smile as he closed the door. He continued down a flight of narrow steps that led down to the small rooms. They were made just in case all the other rooms were full but no one has ever really used them.
He stopped at the first door and unlocked it. Opening the door he stepped aside and let the guest take a look for herself. He then walked over to the bed and put down the blanket and pillow. "Well if you need me I'll be here all night. The name is Ajjrian." He smiled and headed to walk out the door.

Levidrona walked around the room as if inspecting it for a moment, making sure there were no little creatures scurrying around the walls or upon the floor. Spiders did not bother her, nor did mice. If any sort of little creature bothered her, it would have to be rats, but those were definitely not little.
She turned to the inn keeper and sent him an alluring smile with seductive eyes. “Well, thank you so much for everything, Ajjrian. My name is Levi, by the way. I don’t think I will need much. This room is comfortable enough for me.”

"Well good night Levi," Ajjrian turned and walked out the room, closing the door behind him. He had a little smile on his face as he walked to the meter and made sure it was a comfortable enough temperature down there and then walked back up the stairs.
He put the key ring back and pulled out the cleaning supplies. The lobby needed some serious washing and he supposed he should go ahead and get started on it.
He whistled as he worked and time just kept ticking by slowly. The lobby was easier than he thought and he finished it too soon. As he was putting the supplies back, more customers arrived. It was an older couple who were travelling and needed to stop for the night. Ajjrian smiled as he greeted them, "A room for the night?"
The man replied in a gruff voice. "Why yes, one bed please. My wife and I are very tired," as he was talking the wife went to a couch in the lobby and sat down with their luggage.
"Alright then sir, I'll just have you sign in here and it will be 20 coins for the night. If you would like I can help take your luggage up." Ajjrian pushed the sign in sheet across the desk with a pen.
"Thanks, but that wont be necessary. It seems we lost some of our money while we were looking around town earlier. Now the wife is paranoid that people are going to steal our stuff." As the man was signing, Ajjrian looked towards the woman and noticed her clutching her purse tightly. Ajjrian handed the man the key. "Well you are in Room 11 and I'm sorry to hear what happened to you. Have a good night."
The man took the key and picked up their luggage. "You too lad." Ajjrian watch them as they left the lobby and headed towards the stairs. Thieves were common, they often hid out in the surrounding mountains to escape being caught. Ajjrian shook his head and sat down behind the desk.

After a while, Levidrona slipped out of her room downstairs. She was one to usually stay up all hours of the night, regardless of where she was. Now, her mouth was dry and she was hoping that she could get a glass of water.
Levi walked upstairs and entered the lobby. Her eyes found Ajjrian, and she made her way over to him. The human leaned against the counter, looking to the inn keeper.
“Is there any way that I could get a glass of water,” Levi asked him, her voice gentle and sweet.
