Kelpies can shape-shift to lure in their prey; their favored forms are a black or white horse, or a beautiful man or woman.

They can also cast minor illusions on the water of their home to render them "invisible".

Physical Features:

Their true form is roughly the size of a large dog, with a smooth, rubbery hide of jet black or pure white, a ridge of webbed spines along the back, four legs ending in webbed claws, a thick, long tail with a fin on the end, and a large, narrow head with a mouth full of fangs and two black eyes set in the sides of the skulls. It has gills but can breath above water.
