And when you stabbed me, I bled black. Celestine came down into the living room, yawning and rubbing his left eye. He saw Aurora there, getting ready to walk out of the door. He knew she’d be gone for a few days, which was probably going to be rather strange for the half breed. He wasn’t use to staying in a house for such a long period of time. Really, he wasn’t use to staying in one place for such a long period of time.
The mute thought it was somewhat appropriate to say good bye to Aurora before she left on her mission.

Aurora turned and watched him come down the stairs, shaking her head with an amused smile. "Go back to bed, Celestine," she said gently. "Chance will get you up when you need to get up."
Aurora came over, knowing why he had come down the stairs and ruffled his hair with her fingers, giving him a calm smile as she leaned up and kissed his cheek, still giggling about his reaction, or lack thereof, whenever she did it.
Stepping back, she waved to him. "I'll be back by the end of the week at most," she said as her wings emerged in a golden shimmer.

And when you stabbed me, I bled black. He sighed a bit before giving a slight nod. It would just be him and the animal shifter while Aurora was gone. Celestine didn’t know what he would be doing all day every day she’s gone. Probably, training he figured. He also figured that the animal shifter would be forcing him to continue in his training, and that he would be watching Celestine with a careful eye.
Celestine gave Aurora a slight wave to say good bye to her. He didn’t know if he would ever be bold enough to just kiss her cheek. Well, it really did not have to deal with how bold he was. Kissing her cheek would definitely be out of his comfort zone.

Aurora giggled as she stepped outside, bag clutched to her side as she took off into the air, a black and gold blur. She seemed to circle the house for a moment before heading off towards the south and to her mission.
It was two days before she came back, tired but looking no less the worse for wear. Except for a few dirt stains and some minor bruises, there was nothing really wrong with her, she thought as she landed outside the house. It was evening and she'd come back around the time she thought she would. Settling down, she pulled her hair loose and made her wings disappear in a shimmer of gold before entering.
"Chance? Celestine?" she called out, idly wondering where the pair was. "I'm back if anyone cares," she said, smiling a bit at the last part of her statement before putting her bag down and wandering into the kitchen to get some food.

And when you stabbed me, I bled black. There were footsteps upon the staircase. Celestine entered the kitchen a few moments afterwards. He saw Aurora and smiled a bit. He was glad that she was already home. Just a few days of her absence left the house rather dull. Chance had been there to entertain, yes, but contact from the angelic was quite enjoyable as well.
Celestine leaned against the door frame, watching Aurora fix herself something to eat. He waited for her to realize that he was there and to acknowledge his presence in some sort of way like he figured she would.

Aurora smiled and turned, tossing a piece of cheese at Celestine and laughing when it bounced off his nose, her hand coming up to attempt to rub a dirtstain off her cheek but only smearing it more.
"Glad to see that you hadn't run off," she said as she stretched her arms above her head. Chance fluttered in as well, in his eagle form as he let out a soft cry at her return. "Nice to see that you didn't run him off," she said with a laugh as she turned to look at the eagle animal shifter.

And when you stabbed me, I bled black. Celestine shook his head slightly before walking over and sitting down at the kitchen table. He gazed over at Aurora for a long moment. He watched prepare something to eat for herself. It was nice to hear someone actually talking to him instead of Chance squawking or chirping at him. He really was unsure of how to respond to such a creature. At least Aurora said words that Celestine could understand.
He was hoping that they would soon start on with writing and reading. His body needed a rest from the constant training. His mind could use some work for once.

"Oi, don't give me that look," Aurora said without turning around, almost able to read Celestine's mind. "We'll get to that in a few minutes," she said as she sat at the table, more slumping in the chair as she picked at her food, eating bits and pieces.
"So go get some parchment and writing implements as well as a book," she said as she straightened up and lit a few of the candles in the kitchen with the ring. "And we can start that way," she said as she yawned, placing a hand in front of her mouth to stifle it.
