Cecilia had let Tier lead her to the swampland, and he had been right. It was an entirely new experience for her and she enjoyed it as much as she enjoyed being around the animagus. She knew that he wasn't like her brother, but he had learned quickly how to watch out for things that might trip her, it was different leading someone who was totally blind to even the difference between light and dark.
She shook her thoughts off and tied the strip of cloth around her eyes again, her long blonde hair flowing loose and moving with each of her movements. She was pretty, that much was certain, and she did not mind sleeping outside, she actually preferred it after so many years. Inns were not her favorite place, but they were easier for her brother to defend but now she didn't have to worry about her brother protecting her.
Cecilia smiled happily at the atmosphere here, it was vastly different from Temarra and the other places she'd been.

A small yellow bird hovered over Cecilia as she floated down the waterway that zigzagged through Shempii. The bird circled over head for a moment before diving down to the small boat in which the girl sat. The bird landed in the boat behind Cecilia before shapeshifting back into the human form of Tier.
The animagus leaned forward, wrapping his arms around Cecilia in a hug. He couldn’t help himself. The girl was quite huggable no matter what mood she may be in.
“You know, I think you could pass as being the ancient Airreviax,” he said with a smile as he leaned away from Cecilia. “You especially look like her whenever you have that cloth over your eyes. You know, she cannot see either.”

Cecilia started when Tier hugged her, she was a bit surprised and was getting used to his shifting forms although he did manage to startle her with sudden affections. She shook her head and smiled, though, at his comment. "I will have to take your word for it. I do not know what I look like nor what she has been depicted as," she said softly.
The girl really did not know what colors were, only shapes and the like because of what her fingers told her. "Although I'm sure she had other abilities that helped her far more than mine will ever help me," the blind halfbreed said with a patient smile.

“Well, you never know,” Tier responded, sitting back a bit in the boat. “She had the ability to give life, yes, but that does not mean you cannot possess some of those white magic powers. You never know really.”
The animagus thought for a moment. “I think you two would have a lot in common if you ever had a chance to meet the ancient.”
His eyes drifted over to the water around them. He let out a content sigh. “We should probably get a room at the inn. We have been traveling for quite a while. I think we both need a little break and a little bit of comfort.”

Cecilia shrugged, pushing some of her hair off her shoulders to trail behind her back. "I do not mind sleeping outside," she said with a smile. She had come to trust the animagus, not to the extent of her brother, but close. He couldn't predict her like Celestine could, but he was in tune with how she functioned in the world.
"It is entirely up to you, Tier," she said. "I can only follow you here," she said with a laugh. That was true, she was vastly unfamiliar with the territory and couldn't swim very well. She could do well enough to keep above water for extended periods of time but she hated it.

Tier thought for a moment. “I think a bed would be nice for at least one night. So, we’ll go to the inn for tonight. I think it would be nice to get a hot bath and be pampered a bit. The gods know how much I really need to be cleaned.”
The animagus smiled, sitting up a bit. He found a small oar in the boat and started to direct the boat toward the inn. “I could go for a bit of dinner, too. That sounds really nice, actually. A hot meal and all the workings to it.”

Cecilia laughed as she felt him shift about in the boat, keeping still so he could move around her as she stayed carefully where she'd been put. She didn't mind when people told her to sit somewhere out of the way, it actually gave her a chance to observe her surroundings and listen to the people.
"I guess that sounds good," she said with a shrug. Really the girl had very little experience with the finer things in life, she more followed what her brother silently told her to do, instead preferring to listen to others talk about what has been done.

After a few minutes of rowing and drifting down the waterway, they reached the inn. Tier pulled the boat up close before getting out of it. He took Cecilia’s hand and helped her out of the boat, minding where her feet stepped. Once she was completely out of the boat, the animagus led her forward and into the inn.
Tier paid for a room for the two of them before leading Cecilia off to their room. “I think you should take a bath, Cecilia,” he said. “And I don’t mean that in a bad way. Just simply, it would probably relax you.”

Cecilia smiled as she let him lead her, laughing a bit at his last statement. "I wouldn't be offended even if you did. We have been traveling," she said with a bright smile. "But I will listen to you," she said.
She wrapped her smaller hand around his to let him guide her and help her, as she was rather unfamiliar with the territory and didn't need to fall in the water although she didn't think Tier would let her, it was better to be careful and not have to worry.
Once they were in the room, she removed the cloth from her eyes and wrapped it around her wrist, as she spread her hands out to make sense of the room. She frowned slightly until she found a wall and then relaxed, tracing around the room and memorizing the layout. Hopefully it wouldn't be changed around.

“The bathroom is just over here,” Tier said as he walked over to a door and opened it. He knew that Cecilia would hear his movements and hear the opening of the door. He knew that she would get a sense of where it was exactly.
“Do you need any help preparing the bath?” the animagus asked gently. His question was not meant to be perverted. He simply wanted to make sure she could handle preparing a bath in this new place. “If you need me to, I can start the water and all of that for you.”

"I thought you were telling me this would be a learning experience," she teased with a smile. "But no, I can figure it out," she said gently as she turned from where she was on the opposite side of the room. She had indeed heard his movements and knew that she was diagonal from where he had indicated the bath was.
"I am not done mapping out the room, so you can go first if you like, Tier," she said brightly as she turned back, her tiny hands tracing along the little furniture here as she got a sense of just how big the room was and where the windows and doors were.

“Alright,” Tier said with a smile. “I won’t take too long, though. Just let me know if you need me, and I am sure you know exactly where to find me now.”
The animagus went into the bathroom, closing the door behind him as he entered. He quickly undressed and got into his bath. After a few minutes he was already getting out of the tub and dressing himself once more. He went back into the main part of the bedroom.
“Alright, all done,” he said, giving a smile. He walked over and sat down at the edge of the bed, watching Cecilia.

She nodded, counting the number of steps he took from bathroom to bed before getting up to retrace his steps in her own count. "I'll try not to take too long," she said with a light laugh as she closed the door behind her, listening to the sounds around her as she figured out the layout of the room.
She could do her own baths, her brother had made sure, and she guessed with much blushing, that he made her aware of where everything was. She had a few scars on her back from whips, but not as many as her brother did. She rarely did anything to warrant punishment, but no slave ever escaped unpunished.
She quickly went about the bath, sliding out of the dress and setting the cloth aside so it didn't get wet before she took her bath as well. Her long hair would take the longest to dry, but she washed it anyways, enjoying the feel of how it slid through her fingers.
Cecilia finished, drying herself and redressing, running a towel through her hair to get the excess water out before she went back into the main room with Tier, fixing him a smile. She took a seat in one of the chairs and pulled her hair over her shoulder, running her fingers through it to get out knots before beginning a complicated braid that would keep all of her hair back and out of her face.

Tier smiled as he saw her entered the room once more. He stood up and walked over to a chair closer to Cecilia. He sat down off to her right side her, watching as she braided her hair.
“Did you enjoy your bath?” the animagus questioned as he leaned back in his chair, relaxing a bit more. “I think will end up going out to get us something to eat. There is a kitchen in the inn somewhere. They always have something warm to eat there. Some stew and bread sounds just right about now.”

Cecilia shrugged, to her it was just a bath. "I suppose," she said as fingers worked expertly, never messing up but seeming to merely weave back and forth, in an almost hypnotic pattern. "But go ahead and do as you please, Tier," she said with a light laugh.
She finished the braid and used the cloth to tie it off to ensure that it would stay before pushing it off her shoulders and letting it rest against her back, leaving her features bare. However, she did keep her eyes closed, having been used to keeping them closed since they had no function regardless.

“Well, I shall go get some food and come back here so we can both get something to eat.” Tier stood up, gently touching Cecilia’s shoulder. “Now, you don’t go anywhere. You just sit here and be as comfortable as possible, and I will be back in a few minutes.”
The animagus gave a smile before leaving the room. He went down to the kitchen of the inn. He made up two bowls of stew, took some bread, and grabbed two glasses of water. He balanced all of this one a tray as he quickly made his way back up to the room.

Cecilia had smiled at his words, shaking her head. "As if I could go anywhere," she said with a light laugh into the empty room before she moved over to where she had felt a window. Opening it carefully, she let a light breeze into the room, enjoying the touch of the breeze around her.
She tilted her head to the side as she listened to the people moving around on the street, enjoying the different sounds that were floating around her. The blind halfbreed sat completely still, a patient smile on her face, hardly a notice that she was indeed alive. She looked as if she were a painting.

Tier opened the door and entered the room once again, holding the tray in his hands. He slipped in, closing the door behind him. He walked over and sat the tray down on a small table. His eyes drifted over to Cecilia, and he gave a smile.
“I have some supper here for you,” he told the half breed as he walked over and stood beside her. he slipped an arm gently around Cecilia’s shoulders, looking out of the window at the city around them.
“It is really nice out, isn’t it? We’ll have to go out and around the city soon.”

A normal person would have turned their head to acknowledge him, rather the blind halfbreed raised a tentative hand to rest on his arm before she let it drop, its touch no more than a butterfly. "I suppose so," she said with soft smile. "Although the people are interesting and I can't quite figure out what all the different sounds are," she said with a light laugh.
It never really bothered her that people may look at her weirdly, she could not see it anyways. She had to trust that Tier would not let her get hurt in this new environment and so far he hadn't let her get hurt. "Although your definition of around may be far different from mine," she teased, referring to his penchant for changing into animals.

Tier gave a smile. “I will stay in my human form,” he told her. “Unless you want to shift into my other forms. I would be more than happy to oblige any desire you may have.”
He gave a slight laugh. “But let’s eat our food before it gets too cold.” He rubbed her arm gently before wrapping an arm around hers to lead her over to where the food was. “I am sure that you will like what I got for us to eat.” He took her to a seat before handing her portion of food to her.
