"I'm not scared," she said. "There is nothing scarier than an enraged Drow Priestess," Cecilia said, wondering why he seemed to think she was scared when she remembered the step. "I'm used to my brother around me and he'd put himself between me and any potential danger," she murmured.
Truthfully she didn't want to advance her skills at the moment, as Tier had suggested. Cecilia didn't see much point in it, she just wanted to live her own life and let her brother go out and find his own way. He had a much better chance of living a relatively normal life than she did.

“I have seen scarier things than just a drow priestess,” the animagus said with a laugh. “I have been around on this earth for far too long it would seem.” He shook his head slightly. “But you were heading somewhere, I would assume. You are out in the middle of the forest lost. I was going to help you get wherever you were going. Where exactly where you going, anyways?”
He smiled slightly as he watched Cecilia. He could tell that she was trying desperately to be as independent as possible. He was unsure completely why this was so important to her, but he would wait to ask.

"Away," she said simply. "I can feel your curiosity, so you can ask whatever you please, Tier," she said, trying out his name on her tongue. She hesitated, tucking some of her hair back behind her ear as she kept her eyes closed, focusing on the world around her. She didn't know quite what to make of the animagus, having not been exposed to so many races when they emerged from the Underdark, it was a new experience.
Cecilia shifted on her feet, suddenly finding herself quite curious as to what exactly he looked like. She knew the feel of his face, but she wanted to know colors. Letting out a light laugh, she shook her head, knowing that her wishes were folly. It would never happen, so she had learned to be content.

“Then, let me lead you away from whatever you are trying to get away from,” Tier said with a slight laugh. He slipped his arm around her gently. He would not mind if she did not share all her thoughts with him. It was up to her, as it was, to say whatever information she wanted to the animagus. He did not want to be too nosy, though.
“So, what or who are you trying to get away from, anyways?” he asked as he slowly started to lead her through the trees. “You seem to be desperately trying to get through this forest alone.”

Cecilia bit her lip as he put an arm around her and began to lead her. She knew that it was different from her brother and she was suddenly shy. "I left my twin, Celestine, so he could hopefully have a better life than taking care of his blind younger sister," she admitted softly. "He's always taken care of me, although it was equal when we were in the Underdark. There it didn't matter if you were blind or not, people for sale on the black market were not allowed to see anyways," she said, albeit a tad bitterly.
"I'm sorry that I'm a burden," she said softly as she dropped her head forward, her hair spilling out of the loose tie and hiding her face.

“You are no burden, Cecilia,” Tier said gently. “I wanted to help you if you do not remember. I have no obligation to help you, but it is a want. So, I hope you will continue to allow me to help you through the forest.”
The animagus thought for a moment. “Did you tell your brother that you were leaving?” he asked her. “I am sure he would have liked to have known that, especially if you two have lived with each other for a long time. You know… You may think you burden people, but I am sure that is not the case. You would know if you truly burdened someone, really. There is always a change of posture or voice when someone feels burdened by your presence.”

Cecilia shrugged, she couldn't help feeling she was a burden to everyone because they always insisted on leading her around and helping her. "I just feel like a burden to everyone," she said softly, deftly side stepping the questions about her leaving her brother for the time being. She knew that if she had even mentioned it to Celestine he would panic then turn to self loathing. She knew he would feel as if he were the one that was doing it wrong and he were the one that was inadequate.
The blind halfbreed shifted, feeling the earth dip below her feet and stepped deftly over a root that was sticking up. It was obvious Tier did not lead people who were blind often and she had to be even more careful because he would not know what to watch out for.

“Well, I assure you that you are no burden to me,” Tier said with a smile. “Perhaps, this time apart from your brother will make you realize you are not as much burden as you think. Or it will make you realize how you are able to take care of things you never thought you could alone. I am sure this will be quite a learning experience for you.”
The animagus smiled once more. “Well, I suppose I should start thinking of some destination for you.” He thought for a moment. “The direction we are heading will end up taking us to the swamplands.”

"I don't think I've ever been in a swamp," she said slowly. Really, it did not matter to her where she went, as long as it was not back into the tunnels. Cecilia did not like caves or tunnels of any sorts, she had a fear of them, like her brother did as well. She did not want to be sold back into slavery but she didn't think that Tier was that kind of person. From what she had been able to "see", he was a kind person but Cecilia didn't have much experience with others and trusting them.
"I think Celestine may have thought it was too dangerous for me," she said quietly as she continued to follow Tier.

“Well, I can take to the swamps. They can be dangerous if you have never been there, and if you travel through the swamps alone. I have been through the swampland many times before, and I can get us both through the swamps unharmed. We can go to the city of Shempii as well. I think you would like all the new smells, sounds, and objects you can feel.”
Tier gave a smile slightly. “We will have a long ways to go, though. I hope you will be fine with that. I think it would be worth the travel.”

Cecilia nodded, listening to his words as well as feeling the emotions that come from his body in the way his muscles worked and the tiny gestures that he made. "I can walk, I don't have a problem with that," she said with a tiny smile. "Traveling far distances has never been a bother to me. Well, as long as I don't break my leg or something like that," she said with a light laugh.
"I guess I will have to trust you, Tier," she said as she tilted her head up to 'look' at him, her eyes still closed. "Lead the way," she said, giggling at her own private joke.
