Life Expectancy:
Necromancers are immortal. The only ways necromancers can die is by another magic user, by their own hand, or by giving their powers up to another younger necromancer.
When necromancers grow very old in age they tend to become what most consider insane. Elder necromancers are known to talk to themselves frequently. They lose a sense of reality.
Age Range:
It takes up to 200 years for one to truly become a necromancer.
Gender Differences:
None.
Mating Habits:
Necromancers are able to pick whoever they want to mate with but most settle for a magic user as a partner.
Ranking Types:
Apprentice – Apprentice necromancers are young and have not been taught all of the ways of the necromancer. Apprentices cannot raise any of the dead and are constantly reading the Language of the Dead.
Expert – Expert necromancers have mastered the art of necromancy but are not as old and powerful as the elders.
Elder – Elder necromancers are some of the oldest necromancers. Their necromancy is almost as high as it can get.
Abilities:
Necromancers have the ability to communicate with the dead through the Language of the Dead.
Necromancers also have the ability to give their powers to another necromancer. This only occurs when the necromancer is ready to go off to the land of the dead.
Powers:
Necromancers have the power to raise the dead. Whenever they need protection, necromancers are able to summon the dead beings around them using the Language of the Dead. The dead beings they can summon include: skeletons, zombies, ghosts, and ghouls. They also have the ability to use some of the elemental magicks. All of their spells are casted by using the Language of the Dead.
Physical Features:
Necromancers look just like other wizards and witches when they are young. As necromancers age or become stronger, their appearance changes. Their hair will become pure white as they become more engrossed in their magic dealings with the dead. Their bodies tend to slender down from a lack of needing to eat and sleep.
Historical Background:
The first and oldest necromancer is the ancient Nyrivex. He taught a select few magic users his magic and the Language of the Dead. His students were to be the ones to guide lost souls to the Sanctuary where they could finally go off to the world of the dead.
