Half a century before the dawn of Christianity, Rome has become the wealthiest city in the world; a cosmopolitan metropolis of one million people — epicenter of a sprawling empire.
So naturally there are blooming romances, dangerous affairs, rising tensions, and fierce battles.
There are those that want to see the empire crumble. Those that are laying down their life for it. Those that simply keep living in oblivion. Those that don’t care either way.
It is a world filled with exotic courtesans, heroic warriors, trapped slaves, corrupt senators, daring gladiators, and dangerous rebels. All under the rule of the mysterious Empress.
