Her appearance is that of a 25 year old despite having lived half a century already. Iyvienne is tall and wiry. While her face and body exhibit strong structural lines, there is a sort of softness that rounds the edges so she doesn’t come across as appearing rigid or harsh. She is very beautiful, thanks to her mother’s heritage, but she doesn’t try to play it up so she comes across as just looking pleasant. She has bright green eyes that are a little larger than average and long dark brown hair that extends to just a little past her shoulders and is usually adorned with flowers (If she is going to pick any flower she always asks the tree/plant if she may have one before picking it). She has a bad habit of constantly playing with her hair if it’s down so she generally ties it up. Everything about her displays her love for nature and nature’s beauty. Despite being a bard and her occupation depending on her being able to interact with people, she generally doesn’t like to stay in towns or largely populated areas. This doesn’t mean she doesn’t like people, she loves being around people, she just doesn’t like large masses of people. While she is very talkative she is always open to hear other talk, but if they don’t, she has a multitude of stories she can tell.
History:
Early childhood: For most of her childhood, Iyvienne grew up with her Dyrad mother in the woods Lyabeth Forest never having met her father, or at least she couldn’t remember him. Iyvienne unlike her mother was not a full Dyrad and could not become completely one with nature as her mother could. So her mother stayed in her human form to be able to be with Iyvienne, whom she called her little Ivy, because much like ivy to a tree, Ivyvienne clung to her mother. Growing up in the forest made Iyvienne into something of a wild child. Her clothing was scare and just barely covered what it needed too and her hair was always a mess, despite her mother’s efforts. She spent most of her days climbing trees and catching small game by building traps. She learned from her mother to respect nature, because nature very much alive and all living things should be treated with respect. She would see people passing through the woods everyone once in a while on their journeys and possessed by a strong sense of curiosity, Iyvienne would go and talk to them. Some of them tried to get her to come with them to a city, thinking that she was an orphan lost in the woods. Her mother saw this and knew that her Ivy couldn’t stay with her forever. Eventually Iyvienne would have to return to the land of the men. When Iyvienne turned ten she met her father, and reluctantly went to live with him in the City Temarra.
Life in the city: Her father was a rich noble man and hired the best tutors to help Iyvienne adapt to civilized life. What she had the most trouble adapting to was the lifestyle of the city. The clothes didn’t bother her too much, and even the strange food she could get used too. But the constant noise of the city, the people rushing to and fro, all of the activity gave her headaches and she suffered from chronic migraines for nearly twenty eight day cycles. After she was able to get over her aversion to the city she found it to be a very interesting place to live. She accompanied the servants when they would leave the house to go to the market much to her father’s discomfort.
Schooling: Once Iyvienne had adapted to life in the city her Father placed her into a school. Because of her lack of previous schooling her placement in the school was much lower than the other children her age, but she got along rather well the other students and quickly progressed to more advanced classes. Her favorite subjects were about history and philosophy. She also had a penchant for music. Before going into the school she already was a very adept singer. Her mother used to sing her to sleep and while around their small house. She was used to hearing the sweet notes of her mother’s voice and used to be a little shy about her own voice, which while very lovely could not compete with her mother’s. Regardless she found that she enjoyed to sing more than anything else she studied at her school and even went on to study music more intensely later on as well as history.
Later years: Once she had finished her schooling at the age of forty she left Temarra much to her father’s displeasure. He had hoped she would settle down in the city and remain close. But her curiosity for the world leads her to join a traveling group bound for the frozen lands of Cirtria. For a while she would travel from group to group, entertaining them with songs she had learned on her travels and stories she had been told. Some of the people from the groups would teach her parts of their trade, she learned how to sew, weave, and cook; as well as several different fighting styles. She became something of a jack of all trades, not really good in anything, but decent enough all around.
Current: She can be found outside of towns, or with a traveling group, or in a tavern, always looking to meet new people and go on new adventures. Most interesting to her, as a scholar of history, is the new plague of hatred on the land. She is searching for any truth to the rumors she hears in the taverns.
