Vampires are immortal and can live on forever. There are ways to kill a vampire, though. Younger vampires are weak against sunlight and will die instantly to exposure to the sun. As vampires age, they become stronger and more resistant to sunlight.
Ancient vampires are very rare. After a certain point of aging, vampires tend to lose their sanity. After becoming insane, vampires tend to kill themselves through whatever means they must take to do so. There are still ancient vampires around who have not completely lost their sanity, though.

Vampires are unable to reproduce even if they do mate.
Ranking Types:
Fledglings – Fledglings are vampires in waiting. Those who are being consider for being a vampire take 100 to 200 years to be prepared for the transformation.
Novice – Novice vampires are vampires that have just been changed. They start as fledglings and when the master vampire decides they are ready, they are changed into vampires.
Master – Master vampires over look any fledgling and novice vampire that is beneath them. They are the ones who prepare the fledglings for their change into novice vampires. Masters also overlook novices after they have been changed.
Lord – Vampire lords are known for their age and strength. They are not as powerful as ancient vampires and have not acquired all of the abilities they can possess.
Ancient – Ancient vampires are the eldest vampires in existence. They are capable using every vampire ability that has ever been known. There are only five known ancient vampires in existence.
Abilities:
Vampires have incredible strength. They are able to climb up walls, jump large distances, and some even have the ability to drift through the air. They have enhanced senses allowing them to have very keen eyesight and keen hearing. They also have superhuman speed. Also, depending on their age, they are able to recover from injury at a high rate.
Powers:
Most vampires do not have any magical powers. When vampires become older they become more powerful and acquire some magical abilities. These magical abilities include: telepathy, shapeshifting, hypnotism, elemental control.
Physical Features:
Vampires resemble human corpses to the most part. Vampires have fangs that can expand and retract. Their fingernails are more like claws. Their ears are pointed. The most prominent features of vampires are their incredibly pale skin and their vivid eyes. Vampires can have any eye color, but when they are in the need to drink blood, their eyes turn a bright vivid red.
Historical Background:
All vampires come from the ancient Rever. Rever is considered to be the first vampire in existence and through his blood comes the vampire race.
