The night was calm and clear and the moon shown some of it's pale beauty. The docks were alive with pirates that were coming in from the seas and going to the bars for a hearty night. The rest of the ships came into docking as some of the captains did a sweep of the sea with their telescopes, seeing nothing but shadows. One of the captains shouted out though. "Aye, thar be another ship comin' in!" The other captains looked to the way he was looking and yelled in agreements. All the captains went to catch up with their crews and split up the plunder for today besides one captain. When the shadow ship came in view his jaw dropped and he yelled to the last fleeing men. "Tell yer men to save dar souls." The captains didn't hear him though.
Phellan's ships, The Dark Star, came up to the docks as it stopped and the sails lowered. It rested their for awhile as the soul stealer crew docked and secured the ship. Phellan himself walked onto the deck of the ship and jumped off onto the dock. The last pirate captain turn and ran as Phellan locked his gaze on the running man. Phellan's crew finished securing the ship and unpacked the cargo of illegal rum as they got it ready to be brought into the town and sold, for a high price.

The night was still young in Bellevin. Truly, there had been very little bar fighting, but this would change as the night slowly progressed. The pirate city was known for its fights and its ruckus. It was hard to travel to this city and leave without a few new scars. Yet, luckily for Ayvajin, she had been able to avoid such damage.
The necromancer sat at the counter of one of the many taverns in Bellevin. Her back pressed against the use to be polished wood of the bar as her icy blue eyes scanned her surroundings. She loved listening to the stories of the captains who had just come in from sailing. Surely, pirates had the most interesting stories especially about ocean voyages.
Ayvajin was here on business like she usually was. She rarely came to the island city without being invited by one of the many well known pirates. This time it had been for another exorcism of a child. There were many demons afloat around Bellevin, and many entered the minds and bodies of innocent children. So, of course, Ayvajin was sent to come to the island and perform and exorcism.
A laughed rose from the necromancer’s lips as one of the captains finished telling his story. She pushed a loose strand of her long black hair out of her face as she turned to someone who had just called out to her. Many of the pirates around here knew of her exorcisms. She was treated like a guest by most of the people around. They would buy her drinks, or they would try to. The necromancer was not one for alcohol, so she virtually never drank.
She shook her head slightly with a polite smile as she declined the drink. Her eyes moved back to the captain who started another story. Ayvajin looked like one of the many pirates this night. She often dressed like the locals when she was around. She wore a white peasant blouse that showed off tanned shoulders and a tanned neckline. A black corset wrapped tightly around her upper body with red ribbons. Her pants were black and so were her boots that went up to her knees.

The pirate who had ran from Phellan ran into the bar. He swung the doors open and when he entered it the crowd in the bar went silent. Every pirate looked at the badly dressed pirate captain but they were wondering why he was sweating and look scared. One of the pirates laughed. "I think he just saw a ghost." another pirate laughed now. "He must've been to scared and ran head over foot when it made a sound." the misfit pirate captain shook his head and all he said was. "The Dark Star is docked." The two pirates went quiet as the looked a little scared themselves now. Even though Phellan brought trade and wealth he always took some people to feed off of. The pirates went back to normal, or at least tried to, but every pirate was tense for the arrival.
Phallen had made the pirate do what he wanted him to do. He had always liked the loose life captains to go and warn them of his presence, It's always made bargaining even more easier. Phallen and his crew of black cloaked soul stealers gathered up the illegal rum crates and started walking to the bar.
Phallen pushed the bar door open and the crowd of pirates went quiet once more, this time though none of them cracked a joke. Phallen's crew entered behind him as they went up to the counter and laid the crates on the table as Phallen walked up to the bar keeper. He was intimidating with his black cloak on and the hood shadowing his face. He smirked under neath the cloak at the bar keepers face. "We've stolen this here fine rum for you. We expect to be paid now since we've brought you this delicacy of rum here. You don't know how hard it was to get past the sea patrols." His voice was icy and cruel and no voice could match it and have a basic humanoid shape.

Ayvajin leaned back against the counter, her right leg crossing over her other as she looked over to the soulstealer pirates. She raised a slight eyebrow as she observed how everyone reacted to them. The necromancer was not intimidated by them. She had no reason to be. Soulstealers were not ones to bring any fear out of her being. She did, however, become slightly annoyed.
No one should fear them like how these pirates did. They were simply pirates who happened to be soulstealers. They had their weaknesses; they were not invincible. Perhaps, the pirates around here could not take them on, but there was always someone stronger.
“Perhaps, you should not talk to him in such a fashion,” the necromancer remarked to the soul stealing captain. “He did not ask for your rum. Do not expect him to buy it off of you right and proper.”

a couple of the pirates turned and looked at Ayvajin when she spoke to the band of soul stealer pirates and Phellan laughed as he turned around and looked at the necromancer. He walked over to her and drew his hood back. His long white hair was moved behind his shoulders and his grey and dark grey flecked eyes scanned her face. "The owner of this bar and i are trading partners so do not talk unless you are sure of what's going on." he practically growled, then again he growled just about anything in his cold, lifeless voice.
His crew were now trading with the bar keeper as some bar workers moved the rum crates down to the basement and the owner of the bar paid them. two of the crew members, probably the guards because they were in full leather and chain mail armor stood next to Phellan as the other soul stealer crew members left the bar and stayed outside it. Phellan looked at the necromancer's face again and he realised something. "Are you the exorcist girl I've heard about? If so you have a good position in society and I'm surprised you haven't lost it yet."

The necromancer raised an eyebrow before shaking her head slightly as she observed the soulstealer. A sigh passed from her before she turned her head away from him. She could not help but to give a soft laugh to herself.
“I am someone who is well respected,” she told him. “I do not do anything to cause trouble. I am simply here to help the people out. I am definitely not here to drain them of their souls and force them to buy your stolen goods.”
Ayvajin glanced over at him. She could not help but be a bit hostile toward soulstealers. They caused her the most trouble.

Phellan's face went blank with emotion right as she said that. All the pirates started getting up or going or returning back to their normal status of talking, uneasily though. the soul stealer crew out side did not attack the out going pirates nor did they even acknowledge them. They were all around a barrel gambling their loot with a game of Nettra, or known to some as poker. The two soul stealer guards didn't move though as they stood there. Phellan waved his hand and dismissed them as they went outside to play Nettra with the other crew.
Phellan took a seat in front of the necromancer who he was slightly annoyed with. "I will say this once more. I do not force trade upon those who do not trade with me usually. I've set up a trade route with him for about four years now and he goes and takes it to who ever he works for." His voice was all ice and hostile now and when he spoke again it seemed calmer but still iced over with hatred. "Do not think i take these souls. i only take the ones i was paid to assassinate or the ones i have a vendetta with. I take my sea fights onto land as well just like most of the other pirates."

“He takes it with fear behind his eyes,” Ayvajin remarked, her voice soft and cool. She brushed a few strands of her hair that had fallen into her face, pushing them back behind her shoulder. Humans and other weaker species had a right to be afraid of these soulstealers. It took power to avoid getting one’s soul taken from them; power that most weaker species lacked.
The necromancer did not want to deal with this at the moment. She was usually a rather calm, cool, and collected woman. She never tried to get into battles. Fighting and war had never solved anything. Fighting only caused physical and emotional damage and even death. These were things that Ayvajin tended to avoid altogether.
“Everyone in this bar knows that you shall take a soul if not tonight then tomorrow. They are not fools. Soulstealers need to feed like every other creature. Of course, no one wishes to become and empty shell; their souls lost forever within your stomach.”

Phellan turned and look at the Bar keeper then back to the necromancer. "He does not keep it in the end though since his land owner has use of it. He has not truly bought this inn yet, How do i know that? It's called finding everything about your customers." Phellan straightened up in the chair and was surprised with himself for not making any sarcastic comments. He then smirked a little. "I know we, soul stealers, need to feed off of souls. I don't take from the very innocent or my customers though...Well unless they try to blind side me. My mercenary job and pirate life provide me with the inferior beings souls that i need."
He looked the necromancer straight in the eye as he waited for her to talk back and tell him something else he could easily answer. It was a little amusing to see how much she didn't catch from his last rant, like him telling her he only took the souls of the guilty.
A holler from his crew out side made his head turn to them but it was just one of them winning a huge pile of loot. A raised eyebrow took shape on Phellan's face but he got rid of it and looked the necromancer back in the eye.

“They are souls nonetheless,” came Ayvajin’s soft words. She was a necromancer. Perhaps, the soulstealer did not understand that. Ayvajin was a protector of spirits and souls. She did not care of the soul was consider evil or good; it was a soul that deserved to find its judgment in the afterlife not in this one.
Soulstealers never seemed to understand that concept. She had found many soulstealers who ‘didn’t take from the innocent’ or ‘who gave punishment to the guilty’. It was up to the gods and goddesses to really deliver punishment. Of course, the gods and goddesses must have created soulstealers for some purpose or why would they be here? In Ayvajin’s opinion, the gods and goddesses who made such creatures had to have been of destruction and war. Legend also seemed to think that soulstealers themselves could be mutated necromancers. Nonetheless, Ayvajin was not pleased with their behavior.
“We both know we have opposing thoughts. You are a soulstealer, and I am a necromancer. I will not agree with what you do; you will not agree with what I say.”

Phellan nodded in agreement. "True, i do have a question for you though." He had always wanted to ask a necromancer this. "Why do you mess with the dead bodies? Isn't that considered disrespectful to their living family and friends and their soul?" He wondered what she would say now. He liked not arguing but just asking things. He was a fairly respectful Soul stealer among others. He glanced around the room to out one of the windows were he saw the moon and his eyebrows furrowed together as he looked around the room again.
Some pirates were getting comfortable again and talked normally, forgetting of their fellow bar mates. One of the soul stealer crew members was now playing against a human who got up the courage to go and play. It seemed as if the soul stealer crew was being mixed with everything now but people still were careful, outside by the crew and in side of Phellan.

Ayvajin’s icy eyes scanned over the soulstealer’s face, taking in his features now. She allowed her mind to ponder over her answer completely. She did this often. She was known as a teacher to many necromancers and often when she was asked a question she thought over it thoroughly. Confusion was something that she hoped to not cause in those who asked a question of her.
“It is not disrespectful to the soul. Souls no longer need their bodies which is why they leave them upon this earth. Families may feel disrespect if they do not know the intentions of which the body is being used for. However, necromancers do not simply summon up skeletons and the like for no reason, nor do we use them selfishly. We tend to ask the spirit if it is alright to summon their body as it is. Necromancers are constantly talking to the dead.”
The necromancer’s eyes drifted over the people in the bar. “Necromancers tend to only use the dead for protection. There are some of us who are disrespectful, yes, but that is a rarity among us. Those who use the dead for selfish gain are ones who are disgraceful in our eyes. The dead can be manipulated by our art.”

Phellan nodded as he took the information in. He then laughed for no apparent reason. "I've always though of necromancers as ruthless and selfish people who summon others bodies to do as they wish." He tapped his chin a couple of times before stopping and putting his hands back at the hilt of his swords, just in case some one tried to catch him off guard. "I'm surprised the locals haven't broke into a fight yet." He said looking around the bar once more.
The only fighting he saw and heard was that of words and it seemed to be escelating into a fight, but it wasn't yet. Phellan leaned back in his chair and closed his grey specked eyes as he listened and waited for anything now. "Do you have any questions i could answer? After all you have answered a question of mine and i would feel i was robbing from someone whos done me no harm." He spoke truthfully yet still icy even when his eyes were closed. The venemous tone was out of them though.

Ayvajin’s eyes moved back over to the soulstealer as she observed him once more. Truly, she had no questions to give to him. Really, she knew enough about soulstealers and their workings. She had often sat down with them in her earlier days when the peace was its strongest. The soulstealers she had talked to had offered her much knowledge.
“I have no questions on what you are or what you do,” the necromancer told him. “However, I do not think you have introduced yourself to me.” She paused before adding, “I am Ayvajin.”
The necromancer gave the soulstealer a slight nod, continuing to stay in her relaxed position against the counter of the bar.

Phellan opened his eyes and sat up right as she slightly nodded to him. "I'm Phellan, Captain of the Dark Star." He then turned around when he heard glass break and saw the drunken pirates break into a mini shank fight with broken bottles and empty tankards. The two outside Soul stealer guards must have noticed as well since they were now standing by Phellan again, Hands on their sword hilts.
Phellan laughed as he turned around in his seat again. "Tell me if it escalates." he told the guards as he closed his eye again, a smirk was on his face though. He had waited for a fight to break out because the person he was hired to kill was in the bar and he didn't want to make a major uproar against sober pirates.
The two drunken pirates swung at each other but missed because they stumbled and more drunken, and some sober, pirates joined into the bar brawl and were beating each other up with what ever they got their hands on.

The necromancer let out a sigh. Of course, there was to be a bar fight on a night she was looking to sit back and enjoying old pirate stories and get a few laughs. Oh well, there was no winning in this situation. Ayvajin would not end up in this fight. No, she would not allow it. She had no want to be thrown into such a mess, and she would not be.
“Oh, pirates,” she said beneath her breath as her eyes scanned the tavern. She sat up a bit, now not as relaxed as she was before. She kept her calm, however. They would not ruffle her thoughts and emotions. She had seen many bar fights in her lifetime. She knew the outcomes.
“I suppose this may be the time I try to take my leave, Phellan,” Ayvajin said. “I want none of this bar fight. I shall not become a part of it.” She thought for a moment. “I will probably go off to another bar or to the beach. Whichever suits my fancy. You will probably do the same once you have gotten what you wanted out of all of this.”

Phellan opened a eye and looked at her, a smirk on his lips. "Why do you think I'm going to get something out of this? Also i would be going to the beach, I've been away from it and it reminds me of my village." He stood up and waved his guards back as a drunken pirate through a punch at Phellan. Phellan dropped to on knee and jabbed him in the shoulder joint before going behind him in a fluid motion and tripping him. "Don't try that again, pirate." He told the pirate on the floor as Phellan turned to the others, not wanting more to come at him.
His crew had ended the game and came inside as they walked up to Phellan. "What now, Captain?" one of them spoke in a heavy voice. Phellan shook his head. "you guys can go back to the ship or another bar, just don't stir things up. I can handle myself here." He then looked at the guards. "You may go as well." The crew nodded and hurried out of the bar after they stole good, full bottles of beer and split up into two groups. one group went to another bar while the other one went back to the ship.

Ayvajin gave a soft laugh, shaking her head slightly as she stood up. She watched as the soul stealing pirate went about talking to his pirate crew. The necromancer made her way through the tavern in graceful strides. She stepped over many unconscious people who had fallen to the floor after being struck by one of the many fighting pirates. Very few noticed her as she slipped passed and out of the tavern.
The necromancer made her way down the street which seemed to be just as rowdy as the tavern. Pirates upon the streets were drinking as much if not more than they were in the bars. Many had gotten into their own brawls with others. Some found ladies of the night while others stood around laughing and telling stories to one another.
Ayvajin made her way down to the beach where a warm breeze blew off of the ocean and against her skin. There were very few out on the beach at the moment, which was rather nice compared to the streets of Bellevin.

Phellan searched the room of drunk pirates and unconscious bodies as he found the mate he was looking for. He bound over to the pirate and those drunk ones who tried to get Phellan were all pressure pointed to the floor. Just as Phellan reached the soon to be victim the pirate turned around and shot a pistol. The fighting didn't stop but increased as Phellan fell to the ground, blood coming from his shoulder. He frowned as he stood back up but the victim had another pistol out already.
Phellan leaped for his life behind a table which he upturned. The bullet shot through the wooden table and nearly got Phellan's ear. Phellan took his concealed rifle out of his cloak and stood up from the table and shot the man in the stomach. The victim fell to the floor as The Dark Star captain was next to him and bent down as he placed his lips quickly on the Bounty hunted lips and in a instant his soul was gone.
Phellan stood and quickly got out of the bar as he re concealed the rifle in his cloak and walked down the streets of more drunken, brawling pirates. None of these pirates tried to fight Phellan though as he was wrapping a piece of cloth he stole from a unconscious body around the wound. He walked down to the beach and laid down on the soft sand as he closed his eyes again, listening to his surroundings though.

The necromancer had sensed the soulstealer’s presence upon the beach almost instantly. Ayvajin was easily very observing. She noted every little change in her environment. Not that long after sensing his presence, she had heard him and then seen him. Her eyes found him laying down upon the sand.
Ayvajin made her way across the sand and over to Phallen. She looked down at him, hands upon her hips. Her eyebrow raised slightly as she observed him. She could smell the blood upon his being. She knew that he had been injured and really that piece of cloth would not stop the bleeding.
“I would suggest healing up that wound. I could do it for you if you would like.”
