To say that the tiny woman knew everything about everyone here was not exactly the truth but not exactly a lie. She knew something about everyone and enough to bring in business. The human woman was good at what she did, which was to find out information about others and sell it to the highest bidder for the right price.
There was the old man in the corner who had lost his first wife at sea and drank every evening in memory of her while his second one stayed home with the children. The barmaid serving drinks was married to the bartender but having an affair with one of the sailors. There was the captain of the ship that had recently docked who was transporting slaves illegally across the waters. The list went on and on, her knowing something about everyone.
Violet eyes darted around the room, never once lingering for long on a face but that was all it took for her to memorize it. Pushing some blonde hair out of her face, she sipped at her drink as she sat in her corner, watching and waiting. After all, her knowledge came with a price. Knowledge is power and the more she knew, the more power she had. Of course, getting that information was no easy task, much less tracking her down, despite being a human. If she did not want to be found, then she would not be.
Toying with the rim of her glass, she sighed, mentally sorting through the new information she had, mainly bounties and the information associated with them. There were only two types of people who came to her, mercenaries and the ones that hired the mercenaries. Simple gossip was not something she passed on, she always found out the truth.
"Something so simple yet so complex," she murmured before finishing her drink.
The old man turned to her, as if to ask if she had said something. She smiled and shook her head, sending dirty blonde hair flowing over her shoulders in response to his inquiry before ordering another drink and observing the docked ships, picking up information and listening in, able to fluidly insert herself in any situation and just as easily extract herself.
There was a slight breeze and the conversation died down momentarily as a newcomer entered, the crowd sizing them up before shrugging and turning back to the previous business. Violet eyes lifted up and stared at the newcomer, trying to discern anything she could about this person.

Herrick was this newcomer who had just entered the bar. His eyes flashed about in a quick manner before he made his way up to the bar. He had come to this bar many times on his visits to Liadi. Some of the locals were able to recognize him as Herrick the Fierce while others simply did not know him which was not a problem for him.
The werewolf leaned up against the bar, ordering a drink for himself. He was dressed in a pair of deer hide pants and boots. His chest was bare, and he was unarmed. The only other thing upon his being was a pouch of coins upon his hip. His hair hung down his back loosely.
Herrick smiled to the bartender as he gave him his drink. He nodded his head slightly before taking a drink from the mug and turning to glance around at the bar.

Her lips quirked up in a smirk as she dropped her gaze. Oh this one she had a plethora of tales and gossip about, but few truths. Herrick the Fierce, a werewolf from the northern forests. Reportedly a lone wolf, she thought as fingers traced a pattern on the table before she took a sip from her glass.
It was mostly calm in the bar at the moment before the typical fight broke out, over who was bedding some woman tonight. Asher sighed and lifted her glass and moved to the side just in time for a burly man to come crashing onto and knocking over her table. He landed at her feet and seemed rather dazed for a moment, drunkenly confused as to why he was on the floor.
Asher's lips quirked up in a smirk as she watched him attempt to pull himself up. He grabbed her leg on accident and she arched an eyebrow, promptly dumping her drink on him before she got up and moved over to the bar, next to the new stranger. She was clad simply, a short shirt that exposed her midriff and a loose skirt that swayed with her steps.
"I need something a little stronger than what I had if we're going to have a fight," she said, flashing the bar tender a smile as the clamor rose behind her. "Please," she added when he nodded and turned to get her something.
Thanking him, she took her drink and turned back to watch the slowly progressing fight with amusement dancing across her features.

Herrick gave a laugh as a bar fight broke out. He took another drink from his mug as he watched the fight commence as if rather entertained. The werewolf was usually one to get into a bar fight, but tonight he would try to stay out of it no matter how much his blood was pumping. He loved the thrill of the fight. He loved breaking bones.
“No reason to get caught up into it tonight,” Herrick said as the girl came and ordered another drink. “It’s a nice night as it is. Even though, bar fights can be fun no matter if you are getting beat up or if you are doing the beating. However, I came here to relax.”
He flashed a smile to the girl before taking another drink out of his mug.

Asher arched an eyebrow as she turned to regard him, weighing her words before she spoke. "That is good information to know then," she said with a playful, secretive smile flirting across her lips. The woman who knew something about everyone had just added more.
"It would be bad, I suppose, if you weren't here to simply relax," she said before shrugging and taking a sip of her drink, letting the more potent alcohol move through her system. She became easily irritated with the bar fights, especially when it came to involve the whole bar.
For the second time that night, a burly man came crashing towards her and she neatly sidestepped, stepping closer to Herrick with irritation flashing across her features. Turning to watch him attempt to get up, the man seemed quite confused and enraged as to being on the floor.
Of course, he would choose to blame the nearest person, and that would be Asher.
"You damn broad, you tripped me!" he slurred as he got to his feet, looking like he was about to take a swing at the tiny woman.
An irritated look flashed across her features as she regarded him with a cool confidence. "No, you tripped yourself. Mayhaps, next time, you will learn no to drink so much," she said calmly as she crossed her arms over her chest, propping one hip to the side.
The man's face turned red as he howled in anger, not wanting to be bested by a woman. "I'll strangle ya, I tell ya! I'll kill ya!" he yelled, taking a menacing step towards her.

Herrick let out a sigh and a shake of his head. “You just head to say something,” he said, flashing a mischievous little grin over to the girl. She seemed to be able to take care of herself, but this did not stop the werewolf from feeling the urge to punch this guy in the face for challenging the girl. She knew what she was doing when she talked. She knew the reaction he would have.
The werewolf sat the mug down upon the counter before stepping between the drunk and the girl. He flashed a smile to the man who was now sending threats to the girl. “Now, that wasn’t a smart move,” Herrick said before sending a fist into the man’s jaw with enough force that sent him straight to the floor. The man was knocked unconscious instantly.
“Perhaps, we should find some other place to grab a drink,” Herrick said to the girl as he looked back to her, cracking his knuckles.

Asher arched an eyebrow again, tilting her head to the side. "You don't even know who I am and you're stepping in? Such a noble deed," she said, laughing lightly before pushing her hair back off her shoulders.
"Unless of course, you just want to fight," she teased as she gestured to the ever growing chaos around them. It seemed the whole bar was growing into chaos. Mugs and bottles were thrown, chairs and tables overturned, and soon enough the bartender would have enough and take matters into his own hands.
Asher ducked, dodging a wayward bottle that had been thrown before frowning. "Now, that wasn't nice," she trailed off before picking it up and throwing it back into the fray.

“I think you just wanted to fight,” Herrick said, leaning back against the bar and taking a drink from his mug as if nothing was happening around them. “You just had to provoke the one bloke.” The werewolf gave a laugh, taking another drink from his mug before setting it back down upon the counter. He was still wanting to avoid getting completely caught up in the fight.
“Come on, let’s get out of here,” he said to the girl. “No reason to stick around if we don’t want to be a part of it all.” He slipped an arm around her shoulders before dragging her away from the bar with him. Herrick knew that his actions were usually looked as bold, but he did not care.

Asher rolled her eyes at his comments as he slid an arm around her shoulders. "Really now? And who is to say that you know me that well to know if I want in a fight or not," she asked with a laugh in her voice.
Asher hardly cared what people thought of her and she was no stranger to rumors swirling around her about her activities. She was no stranger to using her body in exchange for information, but that was a different situation. She pushed her hair back behind her ear, tucking the wavy strands back out of her face.
"You do not know my name, and I do not know yours," she said, her violet eyes sparkling with mischief. "And yet you have dragged me out here. Isn't this against proper decorum?" she asked, her voice teasing.

“I am an improper beast,” Herrick said with a laugh as he moved his arm away from her shoulders to look down at the petite female. “If you must know my name, though, I am Herrick.” The male werewolf gave a slight bow and a laugh. “I am here to serve, my lady.”
Herrick sent her a charming smile and a quick wink. He was amusing himself, he knew. The male werewolf could pretend to be the gentleman when it suited him. At the moment, he mostly did it for a nice hearty laugh.

Asher arched an eyebrow, a smile quirking at her lips as she shook her head, sending the blonde hair sliding over her back. She let a light laugh come from her lips as she knew exactly who he was and this was for his own amusement. A small white lie never seemed to hurt her in her business and often gave her more information.
She could pretend and lie with the best of them, and she did so now, playing the innocent. "So, Herrick, what brings you down to the coast, to the islands? Certainly not the bars," she said with a laugh as she gestured to the rowdy bar behind them.

“I came here to truly try and relax,” Herrick said with a smile. “Sadly, it seems wherever I go I run into people who are determined to fight each other and start ruckuses in taverns. Oh, well though. Now I have the company of a beautiful girl. I do not know your name, though.”
The male werewolf stretched his arms above his head, letting the curvature of his muscles to show through brilliantly. Herrick’s body was rather well shaped. He kept himself rather fit, of course, he had to. He traveled a lot, and he often had to defend himself from tough creatures.

Asher could appreciate an attractive body before her, and she did enjoy the sight of Herrick's body, she would not lie. As it was, she barely batted an eyelash at the sight, instead merely sighing as if she were bored. "It always happens when drink and sex are mixed. One always wants to take home the best looking barmaid in the house, even if she was going home with someone else," she said with a light laugh.
No, Asher would not give her name up easily, it was one of those things that kept her in business. If you knew her, then she had all the information you needed, or could get it. It was easier if fewer people knew her name, but she was always there, a whisper in the ears of the mercenaries. They had heard of her but few knew what she looked like.
She swept her hair over her shoulder and pulled it into a braid, leaving her face bare and letting the small hoops in her ears jingle against each other with the motion.

Herrick gave a shrug. "Yeah, that tends to be the case more than not," he said with a slight smile. "But we don't have to stick around such a place. We can easily go off to another spot to enjoy ourselves. The beach is rather beautiful under the moonlight."
The werewolf gave the human a wink and a laugh. "Of course, if you do not want to go there mysterious woman, we do not have to. I think I just prefer going to the beach now if I cannot just sit back and relax in one of the bars without being dragged into a fight."

Asher laughed, shaking her head as she listened to him. "I have no reason to give you my name, seeing as it will serve you no purpose, but I can allow you to call me Delilah for the time being," she said, a teasing smile on her lips.
She had given him a fake name, something she always did and if someone knew her real name, they would use it and disregard the false name. It was a standard measure that she took, ensuring that she was safe and that no one tried to kill her.
"I'm sure the beaches are lovely, but I grew up on the islands, so I've seen them time and time again," she said with a laugh.

The male werewolf gave a laugh and a shake of his head. He knew it was a fake name, and he would not be caught calling her such a name. He would stick with his little names he had for all women. If she did not like it, well, tough.
"Still, such beauty that the beaches held should be seen time and time again, hun," Herrick said with a smile. "If anything, we could go into the more dense parts of the jungle that this island holds. Even if you have seen it quite a bit, doesn't hurt."

Asher laughed and shrugged, stretching her arms over her head. "Whatever you wish to do, Herrick," she said with a laugh. "I have seen most everything this island has to hold above and below the water line. I'm pretty sure there are things that I've seen that you will never see," she teased as she brought her arms down, setting one hand comfortable on a hip and letting the other arm dangle as she leaned her weight to one side.
"Is there any specific reason you want me to accompany you on your exploration of the island? I can tell you that there is nothing much beyond what you see here."

"The world is what you make it," Herrick said with another flash of a smile. "Many people simply look over what is truly there. Sure, at a glance, the world is rather simple. There is sand, grass, trees, buildings, people, but once you really look into them there is more to behold. Perhaps, I could show you."
The male werewolf flashed a wicked smile before moving around the girl, brushing up against her as he passed by. He was stretched his arms and rolling his shoulders as he went off toward the jungle of the island. If she wanted to, she could follow. It was what he wanted, after all.

Asher turned with him, following him with her eyes. She gave no outward reaction when he brushed against her, merely arching an eyebrow and shaking her head in amusement, causing the hoops in her ears to jingle against each other with a light sound. She sighed, debating if she were going to follow him before shrugging, deciding she may as well. There was nothing better to do right now and besides, she could always gather more information about him.
Stepping lightly after him, well lightly for a human, she knew the jungle well and what plants she could and could not use. After all, her tribe depended on it often times and she had come to depend on the island as well.
"I'm pretty sure that your version of showing me is rather lecherous and perverted," she muttered under her breath as she rolled violet eyes skyward, taking in the canopy of leaves above her.

"I think you just want what I have to show to be lecherous and perverted," Herrick said, looking back to the girl and sticking out his tongue.
The werewolf could be genuinely innocent when he wanted to be. He tended to be more of the ladies man, though, and he usually had the women going after him. Which was fine for him; he was a man who had needs. He figured this girl would not be following him with puppy eyes and a quick to please attitude.
"Give me some credit, hun."
