While it probably wasn't the brightest idea she'd ever had, it was deffinitely the quickest. That last stint in the Underdark had left her broker then broke, and as much as she so disliked doing another job right after the last one, it had to be done. Ro wanted to sleep in a real bed tonight, and no damn vampire was going to stop her.
Red smoke billowed in through the tiny window at the back of the sleeping chambers, saturating the air in heavy magic as the conjurer slipped inside. Human was the last thing she wanted to be right now while robbing Castle Feratu, but some things just couldn't be helped; now, the fact that she smelled like a tasty delight could. Thus the smoke. As long as she could hide her scent long enough to get in and out, life would continue to run smoothly. Get the Blood Diamonds the vamps were hoarding away so jealously, sell them on the black market for who knew how much gold, and live comfortably for a while. It was basic, it was easy.
It didn't always go according to plan.
"Damnit," the human, also known as the Red Spectre because of her blood red cloak and hood, cursed. She'd miscalculated some of the furnature in the pitch black room and stumble into a desk. Who's letter opener just so happened to be out. "Ugh, no amount of magic no matter how advanced is going to hide this from them," she muttered, pulling out a hanky to wrap around the thin cut going up her arm.
She just hoped that it would take them awhile to figure out that she wasn't one of the 'pets' and come after her. Ro really didn't want to die tonight.

Sleep was the last thing Quinn did these days, her mind was always fluttering and she just couldn't help but follow the beating wings of her mind. Oh yes, she was indeed a loon, especially where ancient vampires come, but she seems to be the only one who seems to enjoy her insanity. Wandering the halls in an aimless matter, her bare feet slapped against the ground with her skipping steps as she pretty much moved to the music drumming in her head. "The pretty picture stains the wall, while the ugly suture goes to the ball. Oh why weep for the lost, can't we keep all of our frost. My pretty picture chains your veins, my darling structure runs the machines," she sung and her voice was indeed good to listen to, but her tone was quite off. Not like she seemed to care though as she came to a halt before the sleeping chambers and spun herself around while the intruder inside was entering. Giggling frantically, she laid herself back against the door and took in a deep breath, noticing something abnormal within this place of death. As she began to listen carefully, she could hear the thumping of a nervous human heart as her lips curled into a devious grin. Spinning on her bare heel, she whipped the door open and walked in, letting her black nightgown press to her milk white flesh. Staring at this Red Spectre, Quinn gave a pleased grin, letting her fangs show in the very dim light coming from the hallway. Blonde hair danced down Quinn's delicate shoulders as she examined this human further as she slowly began to move closer to her. Already Quinn's mind was weaving together a history for this strange human, stitching Ro into Quinn's life, whether she wanted it or not.
Giggling happily, she bounced over to Ro, "Oh, my pet. You return," she began already, not believing that Ro would be a thief. Tilting her head, her locks dangled over her left side, "Pet, don't hide your face, you must learn," she mused as she moved closer to Ro, instantly embracing her in a hug. Luckily for Ro, even with Quinn being crazy, very few vampires would question her since most would like to wake the following night with everything intact. It was true, Quinn had the tendency to remove parts from vampires that displeased her, sometimes even using them as her next meal. 'Course, Quinn was also easy to please, so very few vampires attempted to cross her path, knowing full what was on that path. Drawing back from the hug, Quinn's hand rose to Ro's hood in an attempt to push it off to let Quinn stare upon Ro's very face. No matter if Ro let Quinn do this action or not, she continued her speech, "Luci, Luci. Come, we have many things to do. Our castle will not run itself. These peasants can barely dress themselves," she sighed depressingly, "Oh Luci, I've missed your presence and your blood, but we can get to that later. For now we must inspect our castle," she nodded firmly. Smiling at Ro, Quinn gave a small squeal and even bounced in place, "Lets go! We must wake all these lazy peasants, show them what it means to stalk the night," she giggled some more.

She merely stared at the vampire, eyes wide as saucers. The instant her hood was gone, however, she was pushed into action. "Let me go," she snapped, pulling away and yanking her hood back up lest someone else see her face. Damn, she'd been careless; first the cut on her arm, then letting this...well, she was certainly a vampire, but a crazy one, near her. If she wasn't5 carefull, she was going to get her jugular ripped out.
Ro watched her with narrowed eyes, not at all pleased at being mistaken for a 'pet'; the blonde belonged to no one.

Staring at her pet Luci, Quinn couldn't help but feel hatred growing inside her blood. Quickly her stare became a glare with her 'pet's' words, like she could truly demand anything from Quinn! Without hesitation, Quinn's left hand rose and came down, rushing towards Ro's cheek in an attempt to backhand her. "LUCI!" she screamed, clearly loud enough to wake any other vampire or gain the attention of those still around. "How dare you talk to me like that. I am Queen Quinn! The best ancient vampire you will ever know, you should know this all too well," she hissed hatefully. Right now, Quinn wanted to beat the living blood out of Luci with all of the hatred building up in her. Yet again, she rose her hand, but this time did not move to strike Ro as she spoke, "You will learn your place and that is by my side, you understand this? And to think I was going to give you a gift for coming back tonight," she stated, her hatred beginning to die down as she let her hand drop back to her side. A pout began to take her lips now though as she moved away from Ro. Part of her felt betrayed for some reason as she turned back around to stare at Ro then perked a brow. "Wait a second," she mused as her head tilted, "you are not Luci, are you?" she figured out. Sniffing the air a bit more, she gave a dark grin, letting her fangs glitter, "You are a thief, aren't you? Mmmm, I could certainly use a snack," she stated as she licked her lips. Giggling happily, she clapped her hands together, "Let's play a game in which you run and I will seek you. So run, run, little one, or else I'll just drain you now." Quinn was already plotting how she'd toy with Ro before draining her dry. Never was Quinn up for the normal draining of mortals, she preferred toying with them first, that or having sex with them, whichever was most convenient for her.

She was lucky the blow hadn't knocked her out.
Hand clutching at her now throbbing cheek, Ro reached behind her and pulled out the tiny cylinder as it extended into her staff. Even if she ran, she would be caught; better to go out fighting then to be taken down like an animal. "I feel sorry for this Luci girl you keep prattling on about," she hissed, taking several quick steps back to get out of her reach. "You must be freakin' insane if she ran away and hasn't come back. I know I wouldn't."
It was a stupid move, she knew, but if enraging the vampire made her clumsy enough to slip up, then she might have a chance at surviving this encounter. She spared a glance at the woman's fangs and cocked a brow at her.
"I hope you don't think you're particularly terrifying," she said with a dark grin. "Because I've seen scarier things in Menzotora."
