A frown came across his face as he tossed the stick, pouting for a moment as he fell backwards and sat next to her. ”Not fair.. I think you cheated..somehow..Yes. That’s it. You cheated.” he huffed slightly before rolling his eyes and leaning back again to look up at the sky which was getting dimmer by the moment. ”I don’t have a favorite color, I don’t like to discriminate. I love them all. Except pink. Because pink is just an ugly color.. It’s getting light out, and I have no idea where I took us. I think we’re lost Asher..” He was looking around, his entire statement made as he studied their surroundings. ”we’re atleast an hour out of the city by foot..”

Asher laughed then, a light laugh that showed her childishness. It was a laugh that was not often heard from adults and only from children for a scant few years. "I can promise you that I did not cheat, Alehkar," she said with a smile on her lips.
She followed suit and peered up at the sky, shaking her head for a moment as she studied their direction. "We left the city on the South entrance and turned South by southwest to go to the lake," she murmured as she traced a map in the air. "Unfortunately, I did not pay much attention to the direction you flew because it startled me and I do not like heights," she laughed.
"So we are an hour outside the city if we go the right direction, and the wrong direction will either lead us to Feriay, Feratu, or into the Plains."

Alehkar frowned as he looked around before shrugging his shoulders. They technically could fly back, it would be a lot easier then anything, but it wouldn’t be fair to bring Asher back up when it obviously made her feel ill. So Alehkar leaned back and layed down, attention more so on the sky. ”Lets wait until it get brighter out and then we’ll go find our way, I may go up just to get our bearings straight, but not until it’s completely light out..” Smiling as he glanced over to her before letting his eyes slip shut for just a moment, both his arms crossed behind his head and his feet sprawled almost awkwardly.

Asher laughed lightly, shaking her head as she watched him, tilting her head to the side as she watched him, chewing on her lower lip. "You can do that, or this can be your adventure that you so badly wanted," she laughed as she stood up and brushed off her clothes.
"I'm going to go look into the trees and see if I can find any paths that mark which direction we're in," she said as she made her way towards the tree line. "It's the best bet instead of lying around in the grass and getting cold and wet."

Alehkar frowned ever so lightly but nodded, with a yawn escaping his lips. ”Do as you please but if someone comes after you please scream so I can beat them up.” His words were a bit lazy as he opened his eyes to look at her. Rolling over to his side before jumping up. ”Actually.. If I do not get up now, I will pass out and get cold and wet..” He stood up and stretched lightly and shook his head before following suit. ”Lets just walk. At the very least if we get too lost I will fly you back and you will just have to deal with puking on me.” He squared his shoulders back and looked around for a trail,.

Asher laughed as he jumped up, shaking her head as he followed her. "I don't puke, I might pass out, but I won't puke," she laughed as she reached the tree line and slipped between the trunks in a silent manner that mimicked the creatures of the forest.
Looking around her, she traced her fingers over the trunks, judging what type of trees were here. "Well, you placed us more west than southwest, so we'll be able to pick up the main trail if we head that way," she said, pointing off in the direction of where the trees seemed to thin out a bit.
There were a few signs that were left by the elves that walked through to mark the trails for people who get lost from the city. Most times people avoided them, thinking they were witch craft, but the tiny human knew how to read them. "We got lucky," she laughed.

Grinning he follow her past the mark, eyes looking around him. ”See. Without you I would be going the opposite direction, because I do not know anything about trees. Or forests. Or markings. Or.. Anything. Although I guess I would just fly out of the clearing..” A frown came to his lips as he noticed the trees covered all way upwards so even if he wanted to he could not fly. It was not a good feeling, the thought of not being able to just fly away if need be.
Brows furrowing together as he actually felt a bit claustrophobic. This is why Abourno did not have forests, and he had actually never walked through one before. He inched a bit closer to Asher to follow her lead.

Asher arched an eyebrow as she regarded the daemon over her shoulder. "Do you want me to hold your hand?" she teased lightly as she smile and weaved through the trees, finding the path easily. Here it opened up to move the trees back to either side of the wide path. The branches soared above, easily leaving enough room for a giant to pass through if need be. Two giants could walk abreast.
Asher ran a hand through her hair and smiled at the relative calm of the night, hearing the proper night noise of the creatures, instead of silence. "Now we walk,"she said softly.

Alehkar rolled his eyes at her statement, following lead. “I like the forest.. I jus do not like not being able to see the sky..I mean.. I can’t.. Fly.” Alehkar was looking around almost nervously as he shoved his hands deep into his pockets with the slightest frown between his brows. I don‘t like not being able to fly..” He whispered it and kept real close to her. “Your Smile is weak with every word they speak, yet leave your head held high because you can’t let them see you sigh. Escape. Escape from this love lost world, Escape from that fallen unlikeable world..”His words were barely above a whisper as he finally stopped looking down and just watched Asher's feet in front of him.

Asher hadn't heard a few of his words but had felt him creep up on her like a lost puppy holding onto his last hope to be saved. She arched an eyebrow to look over her shoulder before shaking her head in amusement at how close he was. "You know, over the path you can see the stars if you look up. I can make my way through the forest on my own if you would feel better flying," she said with a gentle smile.
"If not, please take a slight step back because I can't think or if you really need to be that close, then hold my hand," she said with an amused laugh.

He frowned at her words and shook his head before slowing down a bit to put some space between them. ”I’m fine. And I would not leave you. So don’t even suggest it. Plus theres not enough room..” He nodded to his own words but kept that bit of space between them. ”So. How much longer..?” The daemon shoved his hands at bit deeper if possible before shaking his head at himself and jumping up to walk beside her once the path cleared a bit. “Y’know you at the first person I’ve spoken too in years. Well actually that I’ve wanted too. I’d think you’d be irritated by me by now..”

Asher laughed, shaking her head, dropping back so she was walking next to him, rather than leading the way. "Usually people want to strangle me or kill me if they are not coming to me for information. Or they want to strangle me if they are coming for information," she laughed. "I've learned not to get fed up with people easily, despite my quick temper."
She pushed a hand through her hair, sorting out tangles as they walked. To her, it did not bother her that they were walking in the forest or that they were well outside the city, it wasn't like she had anyone to miss her if she died anyways.

Alehkar kept his attention on her but his eyes kept looking around them as the trees seemed to get thinner and thinner. Her words though had his brows furrowing together and his jaw tightening briefly before he kept himself relaxed. “Yeah well. I don’t get fed up with people, unless they are assholes. Then they usually end up in a wall.” Asshole was probably the closest Alehkar went to speaking in curses. The Daemon flashed her a light smile, “If it makes you feel better I do not want to hit you or annoy you in any way..”

Asher laughed lightly as she shook her head, sending her hair sliding across her skin as they drew near to the end of the forest. "Well, another few minutes and you'll be freed again so you can quit with the claustrophobia," she teased lightly as she smiled up at him.
"And I'm used to being treated like shit by everyone else. I'm not important to anyone, so it doesn't matter," she said with a smile, showing she was not at all bothered by her views of the world or how other people saw her. At least, she wasn't visibly bothered.

”I don’t believe you.” He murmered with a light shrug and looked over towards her. “You are very good at lying. Even to yourself. But I understand.. You have too. For survival.” He nodded to himself as if reassuring himself. “ Sometimes I feel alien in comparison to the rest of the world. I just do not understand most others..” A look of confusion came across his face at that before turning his attention back to her. “Next time we play X’s and O’s I will win.” There was the slightest smile on his lips once again. "So sure of yourself. I told you before that I am the smartest person you will ever meet. But that's of course if I live long enough to see the next time we meet," she laughed, shaking her head with a playful smile curving her lips up.
Asher tilted her head back as they broke through the trees to the outskirts of the city, staring up at the lightening sky with a sad smile now tugging at her lips before she dropped her head and hid partly behind her hair as they walked. Another day meant another fight and another job. Such was the circle of her life and she had yet to have it broken for longer than a few hours, such as had happened with the daemon. She held out no hope for the future.
"Now that you are free of the forest, feel free to fly," she laughed, slipping back into her childish demeanor.

Alehkar grinned up at the daylight as his wings spread out and his head tilted up for only a moment before returning again. The grin fading from his lips slightly as he turned to look at her with her words. “I am very sure of myself. And you are smart. I do not deny that. And are you sick of me now?” his brows both lifted and an amused expression crossed his face as he looked down at her. She really was quite short in comparison to him he mused to himself. Not that he hadn’t noticed before, but just quite amusing.
