Name:Urftun Footwise Age:50 Gender: Male Race: Halfling Hails From:Feriay Abilities: Like most hobbits, he is silent whilst walking around and can hide very well. He can also sing many a song. He has a little combat experience when he had to help fight off the wolves which attacked Feriay, but otherwise he is just a normal, boring hobbit. Companions: He has a pet Golden Labrador which accompanies him whenever he goes out. Occupation: Innkeeper, barman. Appearance:
Urftun is tall for a hobbit, standing at nearly four feet tall. He has a toned body, but to the human eye he would still look like a freakishly physically mature pre-teen. He has light brown curly hair and a slightly elongated face, as well as light brown eyes. For clothes he normally wears simple, brown-green costumes - no shoes, because hobbits have hard soles and enough hair to protect their feet anyway.
Personality: Urftun is your average hobbit; he is rather outspoken in his views, and doesn’t like adventuring, and simply can’t refuse to eat his six meals every day. If you say the word adventure to this Halfling, he will ignore you until you drag him away, in which case he will ask you politely to let go.
He isn’t the type to start a conversation with anyone who isn’t a hobbit or a friend. He likes to keep himself to himself and his friends and neighbours.
He is quite a wealthy hobbit, having ownership of one of the only inns in Feriay; however, he keeps his money to himself and doesn’t brag - this would attract much unwanted attention.
Deep down, however, he remembers the exhilaration of slaying the wolf that killed his parents (see below). It might not be so hard to persuade him to go on an adventure after all…
History: Urftun was born to Bamgee and Jubya Footwise, the owners of The Red Horse, the inn in which the kept and served. His parents were regular hobbits, and Urftun had a normal childhood up until the age of twenty.
At twenty, the wolves came. The city of Feriay came under attack by a large pack. The Red Horse, being on the outskirts, was ravaged by the pack. Both of his parents were killed. Urftun helped fend off the wolves, even killing one, which is an amazing feat for a Hobbit.
Inheriting The Red Horse, nothing changed for thirty years; he carried on the family business, and generally did normal Hobbit things. However, he always remembered joining the fight against the wolves…
