Waves crashed against the passenger ship as night fell upon the ocean. The waters had been choppy throughout the day, tossing the ship how it pleased. The voyage to the mainland was never an easy one, that was for sure. The waters could tear a boat to pieces, and on occasion this did happen to the ships trying to get back to the mainland.
Lightning flashed, and a storm could be seen off in the distance. Luckily for the passengers, the storm clouds were miles away. They served as a natural light show for the moment, allowing the passengers to get a safe display of the weather’s powers.
The ocean had been anything but kind to this ship, however. It had been hit by numerous storms on its travel around the beaches of the Idubia Desert. The ship had left Liadi and was going to a port located at the edge of the Zyabeth Forest. The ship was now between the mainland and Bellevin, hoping to make it to the port without any harassment from the pirates. The ship could be managed under stormy conditions, but pirates attacking was a completely different circumstance.
Ayvajin stood on the deck of the ship, leaning against the side looking out over the dark ocean. She enjoyed the wonder of the water no matter if it was day or night. The storm in the distance was intriguing to her, and instead of trying to go down below to sleep, she was awake, and watching the lightning.
A sigh passed through the necromancer. The deck of the ship was rather quiet. Most of the sailors were enjoying some rum off in their cabin, leaving only a few sailors to look after the ship on deck. Most of the passengers were already sleeping in their cabins as well. The ship was quiet and peaceful for the time being.
The necromancer was dressed rather comfortably. She wore a white peasant shirt, showing off her shoulders. She wore black pants that went down to black boots. Her hair hung down her back in a long braid.

((hope you don't mind if i sail in =;-) ))
The day and night so far had treated the Dark Star badly. Nature had not touched them yet though, it was what it did to their victims. Other ships that hadn't been able to survive through some of the scattered storms that were hovering over the ocean to the mainland.
Phellan yelled orders to his crew as he steered the ship through a storm. The storm had not struck them down but it burdened the ship with water, even though it was getting bailed out. Phellan yelled a sharp turn as the ship tilted dangerously but cut by a dark part of the storm that looked full of lightning.
The spotter up in the crows nest had been reporting what happened to the other ships and the storm patterns as he spotted a unarmed looking ship. He looked back to Phellan and grinned as he yelled. "There be a ship to the front of ours, quiet us we should." Phellan nodded as he gave a small shout that could only be heard on the ship. "Quiet my mates, quiet." all the crew went quiet but they continued their jobs.
The Dark Star slowed down as they were buying time and using the camouflage of their dark ship against the dark background the storm created. Phellan took out a spy glass and peered at the ship from afar as he smirked on his own. He knew they could catch the ship even though it was miles away, The Dark Star was known for it's speed, crew and damage it caused.
Phellan put the spy glass away as he stopped steering the ship as it came to a halt. The only thing that moved it now was the waves and storm wind that gently nudged it closer to the soon to be victim ship. Phellan called down the two side captains into the captains quarters were they discussed the tactics they would use, they all settled on immobilizing and pillaging...with some feeding. The three left the captain's quarters and told the crew of the plan as they got back to their positions, ready to strike.

The necromancer let out another breath, stretching out her arms and rolling her neck. She looked toward a door to one of the cabins as it opened up. One of the sailors stepped up on deck, holding a mug out toward Ayvajin as if offering her a drink.
“Tis a cold night, deary,” the sailor said to the necromancer. “Some rum would warm ye up.”
Ayvajin smiled, but shook her head. “No, thank you,” she told him. “I am rather fine. The cold does not bother me. I do appreciate the offer, though.” She gave a nod to him before looking back out to the dark waters. The sailor nodded to himself before disappearing back down into the cabin.
The ship remained silent, now as it was pushed along by the waves. The sailor up in the crow’s nest was asleep, cap over his face. There were a few other sailors who had fallen asleep as well, napping along the deck in positions that seemed not too comfortable.
Letting out another sigh, Ayvajin’s eyes scanned the dark horizon. Lightning flashed once more and something caught her eye. A ship? Another ship, perhaps. She was sure she had seen something. It seemed to be a dark ship, if that was what it really was.

Phellan was at the wheel as the wind blew is cloak all around him. His hood was off the his hair blew as well as he gave the signal and the sails went up and oars went out the cannon slots in the side of the ship. Dark Star was truly a speed ship now and it could go like this for a long time without any one tiring. It never needed to go for a long time though and even though it was fast, it was dreadfully silent.
Dark Star started moving towards the passenger ship as it still used the storm for some cover. Lightning flashed next to their boat but Dark Star did not slow down or stray of course, it was a determined crew.
Their luck ran out though when the soul stealer in the crows nest spotted another pirate ship. The other pirate ship was banded together with gold while the wooden planks were a bright tan color. It's sails were blue and that is what gave it away, it was the Sea Nymph, it was a pesky ship that robbed treasure from other pirates.
The Dark Star was close in range of the passenger ship as Phellan continued to quietly yell orders as the Dark Star stopped and turned towards the Sea Nymph and it's other side to the passenger ship, both were still a few miles away but able to be reached with a good throw of a grapple or a cannon ball.
the soul stealer crew all got their muskets and pistol as they crowded on the side of the ship the Sea Nymph was on. Phellan didn't order cannons because they wouldn't be as silent as whool covered muskets, rifles and pistol and the other ship wouldn't want to risk either.
Phellan stood on the opposite side of the crew and was looking at the drunken and silent crew ship. He stood their and wondered what to do. He could swim to the other ship but the water would take him under or the people of the water, it happened once before.

Ayvajin saw them then. Two ships, both too close to the passenger ship for comfort. Her eyes scanned over what she could see of both of them. Even in the dark, she could tell that they were not friendly ships. From appearance, she could guess that they were both pirate ship, and both seem to have their own intentions.
The necromancer quickly went over to one of the sleeping sailors and shook him almost violently. “Pirate ships,” she told him as he looked up at her annoyed. His face quickly softened as he stood up quickly and went off to the captain’s cabin. After a moment, the captain came out and yelled at the sailors to wake up and prepare to defend the ship.
Ayvajin went off to get her sword which was down in her hammock. She came back up onto deck and watched as the sailors ran about the deck, preparing for a battle if need be with the pirates.

Phellan watched as a passenger ran and woke the ship up. He became enraged and yelled a battle roar as he turned to his crew. "Get the cannons, the ship is awake and the enemy pirates is to close." He yelled at them as some ran below deck and lined up six cannons towards the enemy pirates and prepared them. The rest of the crew aimed at the other pirate crew and opened fire. There were cries as some of the pirate crew fire but they shot back and took down two soul stealer pirates.
As the pirate ship came closer the Dark Star opened fire with it's cannons and a loud numbing boom rang through the air. The pirate ship was agape with some cannon holes and many of their own cannons were destroyed. The Dark Star loaded it's cannons again just as they were shot back at with with chain shot but they missed the Dark Star and hit the passenger ship's sails.
The soul stealer's continued opened fire with cannons, muskets and other ranged weapons as they were fired back at. The enemy ship came closer and closer until it was in grapple hook distance. Phellan saw his chance as he picked up a grapple hook and threw it at the other ship. The grapple hook caught on a railing. "Some of you move across to their ship, others continue fire." Phellan roared at his crew and some started going across to the enemy ship.
Phellan turned back to the passenger ship and looked at the distance now, realizing that both ships have gotten closer as well. He grumbled as he undid his cloak. His black armor shined from the suns light as he started pacing up and down the side of his ship that was closest to the passenger ship. His eyes were scanning the ship and his rifle was loaded just in case any of the sailors tried firing at him or the Dark Star.

The passenger ship’s crew was making ready for the oncoming attack from the pirates, even though the captain was working quickly to get the ship away from the enemy ship. His plans to sail away were a bit dampened as a few cannonballs ripped through the sails. The sailors were working quickly to repair the sails and get the ship moving at is usual fast pace.
Ayvajin stood against the railing, watching the pirate ship with sharp eyes. She knew that she would have to defend the passengers if worse came to worse. She knew how dangerous pirates could be when trying to siege a ship. She would protect the passengers at all cost.

The other pirate ship came rail to rail with the Dark Star but they didn't attack. The enemy crew ere on their knees with swords pointed to their backs. Phellan ran over and jumped both rails as he now stood in front of the pirate crew. "Your ship never was a pirate ship and I'm glad to be rid of it." he said as he dropped to his knee and looked one of the crew members in the eye. "Take them to the barge cell." he ordered his soul stealer crew and they quickly did that.
Some soul stealers started working on repairing the Dark Star from it's little scrapes and holes as the others manned the ship. It started turning until it was completely parallel from the passenger ship. The soul stealers roar, they already had battle blood and were now after more. This time though they wouldn't kill them with weapons but steal their souls. They held their swords now as four cannons shot grappling hooks into the side of the passenger ship. the other two cannons shot regular ammo just above the grappling hooks as they made a entrance way.
Phellan aimed his musket at the member in the crows nest and shot him in the head. He didn't want to waste men trying to get a person at such a advantage. He picked up a hand held grappling hook and sent it around the passenger ship's side rail. He stood up on the rope and drew his sword.

Ayvajin was quick to jump onto the railing at where one of the grappling hooks stuck in and held. She knew that things would only get worse once the pirates were onto the passenger ship. She made quick work, cutting down a few of the grappling hooks with her sword that she had now drawn from her back. She made her way to another one that stuck upon the railing, now. Her eyes moved over to the pirate ship, seeing one of the pirates standing up on the rope.
“If you continue, I shall cut it down,” the necromancer warned, raising her sword up as she prepared to cut the rope. “These passengers are innocents. If you dare to cross over to this ship, I will make sure that you pay the price for trying to harm these innocents.”
The necromancer would make true her words, too. She was not messing around with these pirates. She was not playing games. If she had to, she would use all of her physical and magical strength against the pirate crew. If that did not work, she would call upon the dead creatures of the deep.

Phellan looked down at the one who spoke and a grin spread across his face. "I doubt you'll cut the rope." he then took a couple more steps on it and laughed his icy voice. He flipped his sword the other way so it was now pointing backwards in his hand and brought the blade to the rope. "I can cut the rope myself."
More grappling hooks were shot out of the cannons and into the passenger ship as two other cannons were shooting grape shot all at the ship and taking people down. They tore into the planks and made a small hole by Phellan's grappling hook.
The soul stealer crew were nimbly running across the ropes and into the passenger ship as they started cutting down and draining anyone in their path as they made their way up. Along the way they also stole some goods and searched all the rooms for anything of value, if finding some they pocketed it.

The necromancer let out a sigh, realizing she had no choice but to call upon the dead to aid her in protecting the people of the passenger ship. Her eyes peered warily upon the pirate who was talking to her. She had no time for these games. The passenger ship crew was already facing difficulties.
“I am sorry, but I am afraid I will beat you to the chase.”
Both of the ships started to sway violently, rocking back and forth as if a large wave had moved underneath the two. With a quick movement, Ayvajin cut the rope and leapt off of the railing and down toward the water. There was no splash, but as another large violent sway took over both ships a large skeleton came from the dark water up between the ships. It broke through several of the ropes and almost tipped both of the ships over.
The necromancer had summoned the skeleton of one of the great leviathan that she now stood upon the skull of. The bright red eyes of the creature stared down upon both of the ships. Ayvajin jumped off of the skeleton as it lowered her down toward the passenger ship. As soon as the necromancer was back upon the deck, the skeleton quickly took hold of one of the pirates with its sharp fangs and flung him quite a distance from the ships and into the water.

Phellan laughed as he fell and stuck his sword into the side of the ship. He slowly crawled down it with the help of his sword and swung in the opening made by the grape shot. He ran through the halls and up on deck. He looked at the necromancer and laughed. "I don't easily die and i have a parting gift first." He turned and ran into the captains quarters.
The soul stealer cannons now turned and shot chain shot at fragmentation shots at the giant skeleton leviathan. The soul stealers who were in the ship continued to run and wreak havoc from the inside out as some started coming to the deck and taking down any one in their path and taking their souls every now and then.
Phellan shut the door to the cabins quarters and blocked it with a door from the captains desk. The captain took out a rifle and aimed it but was to slow to fire it. Phellan turned around and moved to the side of it as he brought his sword down on it and split it in half before kneeing the captain in the stomach. Phellan grabbed his neck and quickly took his soul by doing a 'death kiss'. He turned and reloaded his rifle quickly and aimed it at the door as he waited for a enemy to try and open it.

The leviathan skeleton was somewhat fazed by the attack from the cannons, but the creature was a beast in life and in death. It made quick work of a few more soulstealers before sinking back down into the ocean. After a moment, the skeleton reappeared on the other side of the ship where Ayvajin had directed it.
The skull of the leviathan hung beside one of the doors that led down into the ship. The necromancer was there, quickly trying to get the women and children out and off of the ship. She instructed the passengers to hold fast to the back of the skeleton. Ayvajin made sure that she had as many of the passengers upon the leviathan before ordering the skeleton off.
The skeleton dipped back down into the water, keeping its back above water as it quickly moved through the ocean with the passengers upon its back. The necromancer knew that the skeleton would get the women and children to safety before going back to its resting place.
With a sigh, Ayvajin turned away from the skeleton and the passengers. Her major worry was now gone. She now turned to face a pirate who came at her with full force. She quickly sent a ball of fire at him, sending him several feet away from her and setting him on fire.

One of the soul stealer crew members had a large barrel of something as he quickly rolled it to the captains quarter and knocked it on the door. Phellan pointed his gun low and shot as the bullet pierced the door and barrel. The soul stealer hollered as he ran the barrel back across the deck as gunpowder came out of the hole. Two more soul stealers did the same except they made their own holes this time and were going back and forth below the deck.
Phellan put the gun away and started searching the cabins deck for something. He found a oil lantern and started searching faster as he found a match. He walked out of the cabins deck and looked around the gunpowder streaked floor and then noticed the necromancer killing some of his men. He frowned as he got a crew member to come and take the flint. "Light the fire when were all off it and run back on the Dark Star." He whispered in his ear and the member ran off below deck.
The passenger ship was full of lifeless and stabbed or shot bodies except for a few. Those that they could get were loaded on the Dark Star and now the crew turned their attention to the Necromancer. Phellan was one as he watched the necromancer. "Take her men." he yelled, knowing it would cause trouble but with the right bargaining chips he knew he could get her to tell her all of what she knew about this ship.

Ayvajin sheathed her sword upon her back as the other pirates came at her. She pushed them away with a push of wind magic. She now had no reason to fight and kill them off. She had gotten the passengers to safety with enough killing, and now she simply wanted to get away from the pirates and their quick blades. Of course, there was no real way out of this unless she jumped off the ship and swam or was abducted onto the pirate ship.
The necromancer quickly climbed the steps up to the quarterdeck to get away from the pirates who pursued her. Once there, she made her way to the end of the deck to where her back would be toward the ocean.
“I have no true want to fight you,” she called to them.

Phellan watched her walk up the steps and sighed. He walked up the steps and held his hands out infront of him, nothing was in them. "I only wish to talk with you right now." The rest of the crew waited by the steps and it was visible they were eager to get back on their own ship.
Phellan put his hands down to his side slowly again and then thought better of that as he quickly drew his rifle from his side and shot a bullet at her thigh. Just as fast he set the rifle down and ran. He grabbed her by her clothes neck line so she wouldn't fall into the water. "This was just incase you felt jumpy." He tightened his grip and moved her back from the edge.

The necromancer clinched her teeth at the sudden biting pain of the bullet in her thigh. She closed her eyes tightly as she felt the pirate take hold of her shirt and pulled her away from the edge of the ship. Ayvajin took hold of his wrists in a quick move, holding them tightly and letting her nails dig into his skin.
“Let me go,” she said instantly as she tried to jerk away from his hold. “There is nothing that you need to ask me that I will feel the want to answer. Especially after what you have done to all of those people down on the deck.”

Phellan clenched his teeth together as she dug his nails into his skin. He glared at her though. "Theirs still some living people aboard Dark Star. You might be able to rescue them." He then let go of her and threw her to the floor as he went and picked up his gun. Phellan was in no mood to play games as he went back to the necromancer and grabbed her shirt's collar again and heaved her back up. "Now be nice, your my guest." he spoke as he went to the railing of the passenger ship.
The Dark Star was rail to rail with the passenger ship now and it was no task for the crew as they hoped over the railing back onto home. Phellan did the same as he lifted the necromancer up and walked to the ship's main sail. "We go once more my brothers and sisters." He yelled as the crew cheered and settled into positions. The last soul stealer off the passenger ship lit the gunpowder as he jumped onto the moving Dark Star.
The gunpowder led the trail down to the hull were the barrels of gunpowder were. The Dark Star was far from it in a short amount of time as it set off once more.

Ayvajin tried to get away from the pirate, but she knew that it would be no use. The pirate ship would quickly be away from the passenger ship that was already doomed to the ocean bottom. She ended up giving up her struggle and allowing the pirate to simply keep hold of her shirt.
“What do you want with me anyways?” the necromancer asked the pirate, her mood annoyed. “You have already gotten you wanted from that passenger ship and from the passengers. I do not know what you want with me or why you would need to take me from that ship and onto yours.”

Phellan raised a eyebrow and looked down at her. "do you want to join the passenger ship under the ocean? I my be cruel but i can be nice sometimes. Also you caused my crew harm so I'm going to repay the debt, all you can do is watch." He carried her down the steps and into the hull prison. He opened the door with a key and two soul stealers came up with swords drawn as the crowd moved back. "Here's a new mate in your home for now." Phellan dropped the necromancer in the cell area. He closed the door and locked it as he turned and left and two more soul stealer guards came and watched the crew.
Above deck the ship was running smooth and it wasn't in any storms yet but two were closing in on each other and in the distance two pirate ship were fighting. Phellan shook his head. "Keep going mates." he yelled to his crew and they all shook heads back.
