"I don't like your train of thought," she told him with a glare, crossing her arms over her chest in a show of defiance. He could tease her all he liked, but eventually she would fight back. "I ask that you stop it now. Before I turn you into something worse then a kitten."
She did well to hide the chills running up and down her spine everytime he looked at her like that, but she knew he knew. It was why he had so much fun teasing her the way he did. Hell, she was lucky he wasn't molesting her yet.

"You cannot tell me what to think," he said, shaking a finger like he was scolding a child. "But I will not act on it unless I see a reason for it to," he said, still grinning before he folded his hands behind his head again, reclining back in the chair, his legs splayed out in front of him and dark eyes closed.
Of course, to see and watch her, he didn't need to have his form's eyes open, it was a trick he often pulled and didn't need to tell the human about, despite knowing exactly what she was thinking and the responses he pulled from her. Which he enjoyed, immensely.

She scowled at him. "Yeah, but I can ask you not to leer at me like you're undressing me in your head," she huffed, plopping down in his lap as a sort of retarded vengence. Ro knew he probably wouldn't mind, but it would be hell trying to get her up once he wanted to leave. And without the ability to remove her without hurting her, he was stuck until she decided to free him. So while the plan was flawed and rather childish, it did bring a rather malicious grin to her face. AT least she still had her own tricks.

The djinn arched an eyebrow, bringing his hands down to wrap around her waist to hold her there. "Actually, you're already undressed in my head, there are no clothes there," he said, shrugging as he let his fingers wander over her skin, teasing here and there.
It was and idle gesture, one that he did whenever she sat on his lap. It had no real meaning to it, besides just something to do while he thought. "And is there something that you wish to do or do you wish to sit here on my lap to plot out some sort of revenge?"

Ro sucked in a breath at his touch; okay, bad idea, she thought as she truggled to register his words. "Djinn's don't grant wishes," she said just a tad breathlessly. It may have been idle to him, but Ro was still hyper sensitive from before, and anything no matter how small set her off just a bit. She grabbed his hands in hers to stop him, shaking her head. "Please stop," she said when all she wanted was him to keep going. "And please put my clothes back on in your head. It's rude to look at someone naked when you're trying to hold a conversation with them."

"Really?" he asked with a smile. "And here I thought it was what they told you to do if you were nervous about speaking with someone," he said idly, relaxing his hands so they were only resting against her sides, more holding her in place to keep her from falling off than doing anything else.
He was teasing her of course, as he liked to do when he was bored or when he knew he could get a rise. Leaning forward, he rested his chin on her shoulder as he spoke. "Of course we don't. However, I was thinking that you actually had a purpose in coming to the Black Market, or you were just out for a stroll."

"You picture them in their underwear Morpheus, not naked," she informed him primly, glaring at him from the corner of her eye. His head resting on her shoulder made it difficult to do it properly, so it lost most of it's bite. She sighed. "Since you interrupted my business transaction, I've got no choice but to ask. Can you set the girl the drow you turned inside out free and make him forget he ever had her?"
It was a sad day indeed when she needed to ask help with her business in the Underdark, but she supposed that this way she wouldn't have to sleep with someone again. In a way it was both good and bad.

He closed his eyes and the magic around them built for a moment before it seemed to shoot out, his frame glowing slightly. The drow was probably dead by now, but he figured he'd take his time and erase the girl from the memory of everyone else as well. It paid to be thorough, he thought as he teleported the girl back to the surface and to familiar lands.
When he opened his eyes again, there was a faint red glow in them, as if embers were burning low. "It is done," he said, his voice rumbling over his lips, causing his chest to vibrate against her back. It always happened, after he expended a bit of magic, but the girl would get used to it sooner or later.
"Anything else you require?"

Her eyes were wide in wonder as she watched him finish, hands clutching his as if she were afraid she would go flying off into a wall. "No, I think I'm good," she replied breathlessly; that had been the single most powerful brush of magic she had ever felt, and she knew that he hadn't even tapped into a tenth of his power. Just how strong was he anyways? All she'd heard from him on the subject was bragging, and except for the time he'd saved her from the merman, this was the only time she'd witnessed it.
It was actually kind of scary now that she thought about it. Djinn only got more powerful the older they were, after all.
"Just how long have you been around again?"

Morpheus chuckled as he looked at her, his eyes still glowing that faint red of embers. "Around forty thousand years. I remember the feud between the elves that drove the drow underground and made them as they are. I helped build the cities you see here under much harsher masters," he said as he watched her.
"I told you that I wasn't weak, not by a long shot," he said as lips brushed over her ear as he sat back, leaning away from her to observe her. He let her keep his hands, if it helped steady her, but he really had no need to warn her of how powerful he was.
"However, my power is something of an anomaly, I'm far more powerful for my age than I should be."

"Like a child prodigy," she mused with a shiver, twisting in his lap so that she could peer down at him. He was becoming more and more of a curiousity every day, and because of that, it became increasingly difficult to leave him alone when all she wanted to do was play twenty questions. It was probably freezing in Hell if Ro was curious about someone she really hadn't welcomed into her life in the first place. "How odd that I never really thought about it before. Hell, you know more more about me and I didn't even know how old you really were. What a bad friend I am."
She said the last bit with a bit of a wry smile, however, and patted his hand with hers. "I should start asking questions more."

"If poking your nose in my business is the smartest idea," he said, his eyes finally having calmed down and returned to their normal state as he watched her, letting her pat his hand. "Besides, there are plenty of things I could do to you to get you off my lap. And none of them would hurt you," he said, giving her one of his rakish grins that made her blush.
"Most of us stop keeping count exactly after we hit about ten thousand or so," he said with a shrug. "The only ones who keep it around to the exact year are those that summon us."

"I see," she said, ignoring the look in favor of more important things then the tingling in...well, more important then the tingling. "I meant on your kind as a whole. Everything I know is basic knowledge and what Crow told me that you refuse to. Might help me deal with you if I knew more then how to word my sentences so that they weren't orders, you know."
Or how to free him and make sure no one could summon him again; it would take more then just striking his name from the books if he wanted to keep that freedom. It was odd how you tended to want to risk your own life for someone else when they sort of grew on you like he did. Usually she wouldn't worry about it and move on, but Ro really wanted to care for him, oddly enough...

Morpheus chuckled and leaned forward, brushing a kiss on her forehead before shaking his head. "It does not matter, all I have to do is kill those who know my name. Which is you and one other person in existence. My name cannot be recorded on the books, Jarlaxle ensured that much," he said as he watched her.
"Besides, if you really wish to know, you would ask the right questions," he said, watching her. Crow would not help the girl unless she asked the right questions, and so far she had been able to, but for details, it was always certain questions that needed to be said a certain way.

She frowned up at him as he pulled away. "You say that, but then get mad at me when I do. Do you want me to know more about you, or do you want be to die in ignorance?" she asked him seriously; it had been bothering her for a while now. Sure, she understood about askingthe right questions, but some things he could be a little more forthcoming with. Blue met his dark ones. "What is it about your world do you not want me to know, anyways?"
His name was bad enough, and she knew that, but until she freed him, he could not harm her...Another question began to plague her mind.
"Wait, forget that one, I have a different one," she said a heartbeat later. "If I freed you, would you kill me? And answer me truthfully."

"No, but I would make you forget my name," he said, watching her intently with his eyes. It wasn't that the djinn were a secretive bunch, they were merely cautious, having been abused and still being abused for unknown reasons.
"And it is not me, it is more of an unspoken rule between the djinn, that you do not go to our world unless you are to die," he said, shrugging as he watched her. "We do not take kindly to outsiders coming in because they cannot survive in our essence, much the way we cannot completely survive with you."

"I'm not interested in going to your world for that sole reason Morpheus, but I meant something else," she explained patiently. "But that's okay, I don't care either way. I doubt you actually want to kill me anyways."
She watched him just as intently as he watched her, trying to see if she could find the answers to her questions in his eyes. Unfortunately, he was calm and well guarded right now and she could no more read him as she could read Elvish. Just too many curves and twists, and in the end it was more trouble then it was worth.
"My problem lies more in how muchof yourself are you going to erase from my memory. I have been thinking about it seriously, you know," she explained.

Morpheus watched her, his entire body stilling as he thought. He didn't need to breath air, so it was rather eerie to watch and to feel. When he finally did rouse himself, it was to answer her question. His body seemed to warm up again and he breathed once more, it all rushing back in a long sigh.
"Enough to actually have you forget my name and who I am," he said with a shrug. "It would be too dangerous to have you actually remember everything, and I would give you false memories," he said carefully, telling the truth.

She eyed him sadly before it disappeared beneath a veil and she clambored off him, heading over to where the bed was. She paused to button her shorts before plopping down, toying with the mussed sheets almost thoughtfully. "I guess you gotta do what you have to," she mused quietly, tone still sad. Her eyes had skittered to the side so that she wasn't looking at him anymore, but she wondered just how long he would let her do that. "I get that. I guess I would too in your position."
Except that wouldn't, and she'd kind of hoped he wouldn't either. Erasing his name from her memory was one thing, but tampering with her memories of him was another. It was invasive and it let her down a little that he would.

Morpheus watched her with a deceptive gaze, knowing she was upset at his answer. "Would you rather I'd have lied to you?" he pointed out, folding his hands behind his head again. He knew she would be upset, but he tried not to lie to her for the most part, the thought surprised him then as he realized that he hadn't lied to her since he gave her a false name.
"Either way I would be tampering with your memories. If I were to leave them intact, then you would have to die," he said simply, shrugging as he turned his gaze to the ceiling before closing his eyes.
