Tyebolt smiled as he looked down at Caitlyin. She was too adorable for words. She seemed not to even notice this at all either. She could bring smiles out of the most bitter of people. He wished he could tell her all of this, too. He wanted her to know all of the things that were running through his head.
The soulstealer pushed some of the human’s hair out of her face, smiling as he did. He had not moved really. She had walked up to him, and he still stood there, looking down at her. He leaned down and kissed her forehead.
“Are you tired yet?” he asked her gently.

Caitlyin blushed faintly when he kissed her forehead and moved her hair, a bit unused to affections from anyone other than her brother. She bit her lip gently before shaking her head, denying that she was tired. "Na-uh," she said, tugging at the hem of the shirtsleeve as she folded her hands behind her back.
"But if you're tired I can go and be quiet and stay out of the way," she said quickly as she tilted her head up to look at the soulstealer with wide violet eyes, blinking with concern for the soulstealer. She was still feeling slightly guilty about calling him out, but hadn't known what else to do.

“I am not tired at all,” Tyebolt said with a smile, slipping an arm around Caitlyin’s shoulders gently as he led her out of the bedroom. “Well, since you aren’t tired, I think I’ll show you the little paintings I’ve done of Kel,” he told her, leading her down the hallway to his paint gallery.
The soulstealer walked forward, opening the door for them before slipping in. He went to the fireplace and lit a fire within so that they could see the paintings. The room was filled with paintings. There were plenty on the walls. Some were stacked upon the floor and some were laid out on several tables.
“I’ve put all of his paintings over here on this table,” he said, walking over to one of the tables in the room.

Caitlyin nodded again, following along with the soulstealer down to where he painted. She wrinkled her nose a bit when he opened the door, unaccustomed to the smell of paint and unconsciously bringing a hand up to rub at her nose before she shook her head and gave a bashful smile, hanging her head a bit. She was used to being outside and the smells of the outdoors, but being in a house was a different experience, as well as the paint.
She followed Tyebolt over to the table, curiously looking around as she was wont to do, but keeping her hands behind her back so she didn't touch anything. This was Ty's house and she was a guest, so she would behave as best she could, despite her childish curiosity.

“You can touch; I don’t mind,” Tyebolt said with a smile as he looked to how curious, yet how well Caitlyin kept her hands to herself. “There isn’t much you can do to destroy the paintings… Well… Unless you snapped them in two, but it is difficult to do I assure you.”
The soulstealer laid out several of the smaller paintings of Kel before the girl. They were small enough to travel around in a small bag, and some were small enough to fit into a pocket. “You can pick through these,” Tyebolt said.

Caitlying gazed up at him with wide eyes before she edged over carefully to stand next to the soulstealer and look at the paintings. He was good, and the tiny bunny looked almost as if he were real and Cait almost had an urge to reach out and touch the paintings. She kept it in check, rocking back and forth on her feet and biting her lower lip.
She giggled at a few of the paintings, squealing with how cute they were and bringing her hands in front of her face, as if she were trying to at least attempt to be polite.

The soulstealer smiled as he watched Caitlyin observing the paintings. He picked up one of them and handed it to the girl for her to see and for her to know that it was alright for her to touch them. Normally, Tyebolt didn’t allow anyone to really touch his paintings, but Caitlyin wasn’t just someone off of the street. Well, at least to him, she wasn’t.
“Take the one you like the most,” he said with a smile. “I want you to have one so feel free to examine them as thoroughly as possible, Caitlyin.”

Caitlyin handled the frame delicately, as if it were a living, breathing baby creature and she was determined not to drop it. When he had given it to her, she gave him wide, violet eyes that were surprised, as if he would trust her with something such as this because she was so young.
Even though he wanted her to have one, she would feel bad about it. "I can't take one," she said, starting to protest as the words bubbled over her lips in rapid speech. "It wouldn't be fair after all you've done to help me and you don't really know me that well and all," she said.

“I insist that you have one of the paintings, Caitlyin,” Tyebolt told her. “I have hundreds of them. I really want you to have one. It is not a problem really. Just consider it to be a gift. I want you to have one, so please take it.”
The soulstealer gave her a slight smile, his eyes examining her. “It is not a bother, I promise you that,” he said gently. “If you did not take it, I think I would feel bad for not persuading you to take one of the paintings of Kel.”

Caitlying opened her mouth to protest again, then closed it, biting on her bottom lip as she looked down at her feet. She opened her mouth once more before shaking her head and closing it, knowing she would end up just losing the argument with the soulstealer. "Okay," she said softly, shifting slightly on barefeet.
She sighed softly and pushed some of her hair back behind her shoulder from where it had fallen into her face again and looked at the other paintings, finally choosing a tiny one that fit in her pocket. She cradled it in her hands, and it still seemed rather large in her tiny, delicate hands, but she knew that it was only because she was so small.

Tyebolt smiled a bit. “Well, there we go,” he said, patting her shoulder gently. “I think we should get you off to your room, though. The hour is getting very late, and tonight was quite an ordeal for you, Caitlyin. I think I should get you off to bed.”
The soulstealer slipped an arm around the girl’s shoulders. “We can look for your brother tomorrow, alright. I am sure he is around here in Shempii somewhere.”
Tyebolt began to lead the human girl out of the gallery. He opened the door for her as they reached it.

Caitlyin followed Tyebolt closely, watching where she was going so she didn't trip or knock anything over, as she was occasionally a little clumsy. She chewed on her bottom lip, partially wondering how she could thank the soulstealer for being so kind to her, despite how her brother had been towards the soulstealer.
When they reached the guestroom, she shifted slightly before throwing her arms around the soulstealer in a hug, careful not to damage the painting or hurt him, although she wasn't very strong to begin with. She blushed faintly before leaning up and giving Tyebolt a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you," she said softly.

The soulstealer smiled down at the human, his eyes seeming to brighten up with her kiss to his cheek. “You don’t need to thank me, Caitlyin,” he said softly to her, letting his fingers move up to gently stroke her cheek.
Tyebolt smiled once more before leaning down and kissing Caitlyin’s lips. He fought back any linger magic that possessed his lips. He had no intentions of stealing the girl’s soul. However, his kiss would still take her breath away for a moment, like his kisses were known to do. The soulstealer continued to be careful, though.

It was quite a different experience for the girl, seeing as she had never been kissed on the lips before. Sure she had kissed him on the cheek and had been kissed on the cheek before as well, but this brought a bright blossom of color to stain her cheeks pink.
She couldn't breathe for a heartbeat, but she didn't seem to notice at the moment, she was a bit unsure of how to respond, but instinctively pressed back against the soulstealer's lips, responding to the kiss with the faintest of touches. Caitlyin had had her first kiss.

Tyebolt smiled as his lips moved away from hers. His hand trailed over her cheek gently, watching her closely with his eyes.
“Sorry if that was a bit much,” the soulstealer said gently, his hand moving down to rest against her neck. His other hand ran through his hair. “I do not mean to startle you, dear Caitlyin. I do not mean to make you feel uncomfortable.” He sent her a weaker smile, seeming to be apologetic. “Perhaps, I should go off to be my bed now, and not disturb you anymore.”

Suddenly, Cait knew what it was like to have butterflies inside of her. Her eyes grew wide and she shook her head, sending her hair sliding over her shoulders. "No, no, no, it's okay! I don't mind! You don't have to apologize for anything," she said, her words seeming to tumble out from her lips as her tongue tripped over itself, trying to keep up with her reassurances to the soulstealer.
"You didn't disturb me or anything, it's okay, I promise!" she exclaimed, her cheeks brightening in their pink color. It was obvious that she hadn't received any direct attention from boys, well, she had never received attention from boys in any matter, so she was just a bit flustered.

The soulstealer gave another smile, nodding his head slightly. “Alright,” he said softly, running fingers through the human’s hair. “I think I stole something, from you, though. Which is apparent from the stain upon your cheeks.”
Tyebolt grinned, kissing her forehead now. She was even more gorgeous with the reddening of her cheeks. The soulstealer seemed to be unable to get enough of the girl. She had taken him under her spell without even realizing it.
“If you will allow me, I would like to steal another kiss from your lips, Caitlyin.”

Cait blushed again but nodded, caught between chewing her lower lip and shifting on her feet, a bit unsure of herself in this situation. She tilted her head to the side, almost curious about his choice of wording. Her hair slid back behind her shoulders, except for the strands still twisted around the soulstealer's fingers.
"Okay," she said, giving him a bright smile, despite the color on her cheeks. Of course, now that he had pointed it out, she would be worried about it and that would only make it stand out more, a never ending cycle. "You can do that."

Tyebolt smiled before leaning back down and kissing her lips once more. His movements were slow at first, allowing Caitlyin to warm up to the feeling of their lips together. He knew that she had never kissed someone like this before. He could tell by how she was slow to react from his kiss earlier.
The soulstealer slipped his arms around the girl, holding her gently to him as he kissed her lips a bit more. Pulling back after a moment, Tyebolt looked down at Caitlyin.
“I’m afraid that your brother would kill me if he knew about these touches between us,” he said to the girl with a slight laugh and a slight smile.

Caitlyin blushed again, biting her lower lip after he pulled away, feeling vaguely guilty about something, but not knowing exactly what. "Probably," she admitted, hanging her head as she thought about her big brother. "He doesn't like anyone," she said softly. "Except me."
It was true, the demon seemed to only like Cait, in fact it had taken him a while to warm up to her, but now they were practically inseparable now that they had spent six years together. Well, unless Cait did something rather irresponsible, like she had today.
However, the tiny girl did like the kisses she received from the soulstealer, which was probably the reason she felt slightly bad about it, not to mention she knew her brother would be worried.
