Zivon swam into his house, seeing that Zaira, Zoyenka and Zoyya were gone, probably off at the marketplace selling clams. Sighing, he sat down on a rock poking the sea anemones and watching them close up. How boring he thought to himself, yawning. He was off duty today and didn't quite know what to do with himself yet.
Deciding he wanted to go exploring, he swam out into the vast Wavtra Ocean towards the scattered islands. Maybe if he was lucky there will be humans there, female humans....
He came up to one of the bigger islands and laid on the shore. He started to draw things in the sand and watched as the waves came up and washed them away.

The Scattered Islands was an area of the Wavtra Ocean that Ayvajin enjoyed to explore. She did not come often out to the islands, the islands being quite far out from where she usually frequent, but when she did she enjoyed the beaches and the seashells she wandered upon. There was nothing like a day spent out upon the Scattered Islands.
The necromancer found herself walking barefoot upon the sand, gazing out at the water. It was a beautiful day, and no clouds could be seen in the sky. The day was perfect for a stroll along the beach away from everyone else. No worries, just sweet relaxation in the sand.
Ayvajin had pulled her long black hair back into a braid which she allowed to fall down her back. She wore a light blue dress that fell down passed her knees with sleeves that hugged her shoulders. Jewels gleamed upon her neck, ears, and wrists.
The necromancer paused in her walking to take in the warm sun. Her eyes looked out at the ocean and lingered there.

Zivon's eyebrow lifted in interest as he noticed another being on the island. His eyes narrowed as he watched the figure walking closer, staring at the ocean. A smile grew on his face as realized it was a woman. Must be my lucky day... he thought to himself, feeling the excitement build up inside him.
Sitting up, he kept himself half submerged so he wouldn't dehydrate. A wave rolled up and took away the sand on his chest. His eyes followed her like a predator stalking its prey. Its a shame us merfolk don't have the same mating capabilities as those who walk on land he thought. But then again, he felt lucky that they didn't or else he would've had to deal with multiple baby mama's and he had a reputation and an image to keep. He waited for her to get closer so he could examine her up close.

The necromancer raised her arms above her head, arching and stretching out her back. She could not help but feel a lazy lull come over her as she stood in the sun. Ayvajin smiled to herself as she continued to walk upon the beach. She kicked at the water that rolled up to greet her feet.
Ayvajin enjoyed these moments along the beachside. The water warm as it came up and splashed her. The wet sand was soft beneath her bare feet. The necromancer sighed, leaning down and picking up a starfish that had been washed up onto the short. She gave a smile as she examined it, noting that it was still alive. Ayvajin took a few steps into the ocean, stopping as the water got up to just passed her knees. She held the starfish down into the water, letting it float away from her.

Zivon watched in interest as she put the starfish into the water. He swam over to her smiling and grabbed the starfish. "It would only get washed up again." He told her. "I'll go put it on a rock so it will stick." he took off towards a couple of boulders and put it in a crevice under the water.
Swimming back, he did a flip to show off his playfulness. As he dove back under the water he came back up on the shore next to the woman, smiling. "So what's you name my lovely?" He still kept himself half submerged, not wanting to risk anything.

Ayvajin gave a slight laugh as she waded back over closer to the short. She did not mind getting herself wet along with her clothes. She would dry, of course, so there were no worries there. The necromancer sat down in the water, enjoying the waves rolling up to her.
“My name is Ayvajin,” she told the merman. “And who might you be?”
The necromancer had met many mermaids and mermen before this one. She loved their energy, and they way they presented themselves. She enjoyed how this merman was playful and full of curiosity like most merfolk were of those who walked upon the land.

"Ayvajin, sounds pretty." He turned his blue eye'd gaze to her face. "I'm Zivon." She looked exotic and beautiful, not like the usual girls he found around these parts. "So what brings you to these islands all by yourself?" She didn't look like she was from around here and his gaze wandered to her clothing and her hair. His tail flicked back and forth as the waves came and went in a gentle flow. He smiled as he studied her. She would make a gorgeous mermaid he thought but mermaids tended to have lighter hair, it was rare to see one with dark hair.

The necromancer thought for a moment. She really only came to the Scattered Islands to relax, which was why she was visiting them on this day. Despite the beasts Ayvajin tended to encounter, the islands were beautiful and wonderful places to walk upon.
“I came out here to get some relaxation,” she told Zivon, her eyes turning back to him. She sent the merman a smile. “And what brings you to these islands all by yourself? Hoping to find some humans to pester and lure out into the water? Or am I wrong, Zivon?”
Ayvajin sent him a wide smile. She knew the tricks and forgetfulness of the species who lived within the water. Merfolk were no exception. They would lure people into the water.

Zivon sent her a mischievous smile. "I needed to relax as well." He laid on his back with his hands behind his head, showing off his toned body and to make it seem like he was just relaxing. "It gets boring under the water and I was off duty, I washed up to see if I could encounter something new." That much was true, Merfolk did get tired of each other.
Rolling over so that he had his head leaning on his left arm he asked her, "Have you ever been under the water for a long time? I can show you all the beautiful places that only underwater life has ever seen." He gave her his most charming smile.

“I have been to your world, and I will not fall for your tricks,” the necromancer said without skipping a beat. She sent Zivon a smile, shaking her head slightly.
Younger mermen always amused Ayvajin. She had been offered to be taken down to their city, but she had declined each and every offer. The necromancer had seen Oscivien and all of its beauty before, and when she had gone she had went through the Dayjen Area. Looking at the merfolk city through class was much different than looking at it directly in person.
“Nice try, though, dear merman.”

Zivon frowned. "But I could make it a whole new experience." He didn't want to give up just yet. He wondered if she had just been to the Dayjen Area or if she somehow managed to find a way to breathe underwater without gills. "Are you a person of magic?" he asked curiously, tilting his head. You, Ayvajin, are something else, he thought to himself amusingly. He mostly encountered humans and creatures of the sea. He has yet to see any sort of land creature that could wield magic. This was starting to get interesting in a way he never knew. This wasn't the typical amusement of trying to lure innocent women off to the sea promising them sweet sights and pleasures.

Ayvajin let out a laugh, unable to stop herself. Her hand quickly went up and covered her lips as she fought away her laughter. “I suppose you can call me a person of magic,” she answered with a smile spread across her lips. “I use magic, but probably not in the way you would think that I would use it.”
Her eyes flickered away from the merman, out to the ocean. “As for you taking me down below the water for a whole new experience, I think I am fine with staying upon the beach today. Above water is beautiful in its own way. Its beauty is just different than below the water’s surface.”

Zivon continued to stare at her. "Well what kind of magic can you do?" Her laughter was nice, different from the gurgling laughter of the merfolk and the nervous high pitched laughter he heard from the women he usually stumbled upon. "You've got me interested." He moved closer to her so that his head was practically leaning on one of her legs.
"I understand what you mean about the land above water having a different beauty. Under the water it tends to get quite dreary and boring. Unfortunately most merfolk don't care and just go on with their daily routine." He thought of his parents and the eldest of his sisters. "My sister Zoyenka and myself have taken an interest in the land above water but she has less freedom than I do so I usually tell her of what I run into." He felt sorry for Zoyenka, the poor thing wanted legs so badly and she was stuck at the marketplace most of the time.

Ayvajin focused her eyes back on the merman Zivon. “I am a necromancer,” she told him with another smile. “I can control the dead in a sense, because I speak the only language they are able to. I can raise skeletons and the like and use them to protect or guide me. It is usually seen as an unusual magic, but there is nothing wrong with it.”
She loved her necromancy quite dearly. She loved the connection with the dead that she had developed over time. Ayvajin also loved being able to guide lost spirits to the realm of the dead.
“I could show you if you would be interested in seeing my art.”

Zivon stared. Magic with the dead? Doesn't that disturb their afterlife? he thought. But he was intrigued by her and couldn't help himself from nodding his head in awe. He lifted himself so that he was sitting up. His lower half was still in the water but he was splashing his fin a bit, showing off his emerald green fin.
"How would you prove this?" he asked tilting his head. "Do you need a grave site or something? I there is one around here somewhere." He looked around the island trying to remember where it was.

Ayvajin gave a laugh, rather amused. “I do not need a graveyard to show you necromancy,” she said with a kind smile. “There are dead things all around. Sure, you may not be able to see any of them, but they are here. They are under the sand, in the water. Here, I shall show you.”
The necromancer glanced around for a moment before standing and walking a few paces away from the merman. She waved her hand in the air before her in a quick gesture before mutter something beneath her breath. The ground before her started to rise. The skull of a large fish started to emerge from the sand, and after a few moments the whole skeleton of this fish had came up from the ground. The fish had been a large one and the body was almost as long as Ayvajin was tall.
The necromancer’s hand rotated slightly above the fish skeleton, and the skeleton hovered above the ground as if it were swimming in water. Where the eyes of the fish had originally been, a red light started to glow in each place.

The merman backed away a bit, in awe and fear, staring at the fish bones she had mobilized. It was pretty big, he could only imagine what it had been when it was alive. Maybe an ancient fish from long ago? Or was it a tuna that met its doom?
Zivon was back in the water with only his head showing, he wasn't sure exactly what she could do with the skeleton just yet. "What is the purpose of this kind of magic?" he asked nervously. "Is it just for show or just because you can? Or do you do things with it?"

The necromancer could not help but to smile at the merman. “There is nothing to fear,” she told him gently to reassure him. “I have control over this skeleton. I can even bring it over for you to touch. It will not hurt you unless I will it to, and that I will not do.”
Ayvajin watched the skeleton for a moment. “Having the ability to raise the dead and control them is only for my protection. The true purpose of necromancy is to send spirits and souls off toward the land of the dead, so that they can rest in peace. I do not use my magic to attack unless it is in self defense.”

Zivon nodded and eyed the skeleton. He did not wish to touch it but he was fine with just watching it. He made his way back to the shoreline, staring at the necromancer. "Are you well traveled? Most people have heard that merfolk have luring powers but they don't understand how powerful their charm is till it's too late." He rested his head on his hands. "So have you ran into one before or do you simply have enough willpower to avoid the charm?" It bothered him in a way, but she didn't accuse him of anything, so he didn't mind sitting up here and talking to her instead.

Ayvajin took her spell away from the skeleton, letting it collapse upon the sand. She walked back over to the merman and sat down beside him. He was a curious little creature, constantly asking questions with inquisitive eyes.
“I have met many of your kind before, Zivon,” she told the merman with a slight smile. “Your charm cannot affect me. Not just because I know what to expect, but because my magical power is more advanced than you really can comprehend.”
The necromancer stretched out her legs before her, enjoying how the water washed up against them. “Do you have any more questions for me, little merman?”
