The sun was high in the sky as it beat down upon the streets. The wind was dead but the people were not. The people roaming the streets were used to this weather everyday but Phellan was not. Phellan was sitting in a alley holding a small box full of jewelry.
His ship and crew had gone and he had swam to the desert's edge. He was glad to be on land as he trekked his way all the way to the desert village. He gone with out food for a day now as he was eager to get his hand on any one who had a soul and came close enough to him.
Most people ignored him though, either scared by the appearance of a lone figure sitting in a alley with a black cloak on or they paid him now heed. Phellan had lost his belongings besides his sword and armor which he was still wearing. His hair was plastered to his neck and back from sweat and his grey eyes were closed and crusted with some sand. He desperately wished he never helped that crew now and had just did as all other pirates would, kill all and take no captives.
It was market day today though so maybe some one would run into the alley Phellan was in. The noise of talking, yelling and bargaining filled the air and rich dressed people roamed the street along with regular villagers. They were all talking and it almost seemed like a constant buzzing with highs and lows if you were far away.

The day was just how the necromancer liked it. Hot, sunny, dry, perhaps perfect desert weather. The desert people were also crowding the streets. Today reminded Ayvajin of many days of her childhood. She had always loved going to the marketplace and shopping around with or without her family. She still loved to do this even in her adulthood. There were always people to see and to talk to.
Ayvajin made her way down the street. Many people gave her a respectable distance, allowing her to move about with little worry of being bumped into or mugged. Well, truly, no one of Secstial would dare to mug the necromancer. The people of the town gave their utmost respect to her. Being a local did have its benefits.
The necromancer’s icy blue eyes drifted over her surroundings as she made her way down the street. With every step she sent a new rustle of the sound of jewelry. Today, she had decided to wear more of her desert dweller clothing. She wore a top that was the color of her icy eyes. The fabric held her chest snuggly with skinny sleeves that went around her shoulders. Her tan stomach was exposed, showing hints of tight muscles. She also wore a skirt of the same icy color that went down to just before her knees. Upon her feet, she wore sandals that laced up with black leather to her knees. Around her neck, around her wrists, and upon her ears, she was adorned with icy gemmed jewelry which was the cause of her jingling.
Ayvajin sent a smile to those who noticed her before something caught her attention. It was the feeling of something precious to her nearby. She soon realized that it was her lost jewelry calling to her, and she instantly set out to find them. She soon saw the alleyway where she now saw the soulstealer.
“I was expecting to find you soon,” the necromancer said as she stepped over to Phellan. She brushed back her hair over her shoulder which was pulled in a tight ponytail. “You do not seem so well, soulstealer.”

Phellan heard someone coming just as soon as he saw them. He sat and looked up at the person, hoping it would be some one that wouldn't be noticed if they disappeared. To Phellan's unhappy surprise it was the necromancer. Phellan stood up with the box in his hands as his joints and bones popped for not being used as much as Phellan now stood up. "No, I'm not used to the desert weather and i haven't eaten since a couple days ago." He handed her the box. "I do believe this is yours though." He did not like giving up something that could be sold but he thought of this just like another payment job. "You seem to be doing well." he nodded at what she was wearing.
Some pass Byers stopped for a little bit and watched but quickly went off as a merchant shouted his goods. They all seemed to be happy and that just seemed to kill Phellan's mood even more. He took his hood off and ran his hand through his hair as some sweat went out of it. "Your jewelry are in a better condition." and that was true. He had kept them just the way Ayvajin had handed them to him.

Ayvajin took the box without looking in it. She knew that all of the jewelry was there. She did not need to double check to make sure the pirate had not take any out. She also did not want to belittle the soulstealer with such actions.
“Come on,” she told him. “I cannot promise you any souls, but I can promise you some better shelter from the sun, clean clothes, and a nice bath. Some water could do you some good as well. No reason to get dehydrated out in this heat when there are resources that you can easily have.”
The necromancer sent Phellan a smile before turning and starting out of the alley. “And you have no choice, dear pirate,” she called over her shoulder before turning into the street.

Phellan didn't trust the necromancer completely but he wondered if he didn't really have a choice. He sighed as he pulled his hood back on and walked after her. He found her quickly and his steps soon went in sync with hers as he followed a little behind her. "Why would i not have a choice to follow or stay? Also I'm no longer a pirate, just a assassin and bounty hunter now. Pirates need ships and crew." Phellan no longer had either at his disposal for now so for now what he said was true. He was glad for being offered this stuff from her even after what he had done to her and the other people aboard the passenger ship. Then his mind started thinking if this was a trap or not, still his pace did not slacken from hers.

“I do not know many pirates, so I shall continue to call you pirate,” Ayvajin said, glancing over her shoulder. “Either way in the long run you will be a pirate on land or not. You still have your other ships, no?”
The necromancer gave a laugh and a shake of her head. Most people would not have been so kind to a person who had caused such harm, but Ayvajin was forgiving. Not to mention, she was in her element and Phellan was out of his. She had the upper hand if something went wrong which she was glad for.
“There is no reason to debate such a title. Simply be glad that you are able to hold any title and still be alive.”
They soon reached a house which belonged to the necromancer. She had a home in virtually all of the major cities, which was something to be grateful of. However, she had had a home in Secstial for far longer than any of the other cities.
Ayvajin walked up and opened the door before slipping in. “This is my home,” she said to the soulstealer as she waited for him to enter.

Phellan laughed when she brought his other ships up. "My other ships are docked at the Scattered islands. Everyone holds a title and lives so it is debatable for every debates over their title." When she came to her house he became cautious and looked around it nervously for any traps or what not. He put his hand gently to his side by the sword as he entered the house. He was weak from not taking any ones soul in such a duration of time so he had all right to be wart of his surroundings, especially since he had dine a assassination in this village with in the last past month.
He looked around the inside of the house and he gave out a short laugh. "Your a native to this place, aren't you? The people outside seemed to respect you more then a visitor."

“I grew up in this village, yes,” Ayvajin said with a slight nod as she sat the box down upon one of the tables in the entrance hall. “I have done a lot for the people of Secstial as well. I have gotten rid of the spirits that have plagued them in the past. The desert is home to many dead who die terrible deaths and get lost from their paths to paradise. I have also exorcized many demons from the town’s people.”
The necromancer had done quite a bit for Secstial ever since she learned of her power. In her childhood, they had done so much for her. She had been left here in this village as an infant, and the family whose doorstep she had been set down upon had taken her in as their own.
“There is a guest room just down the hall and to the left,” Ayvajin gestured down the hallway. “There is an adjacent bathroom as well.” She paused for a moment, letting her eyes drift over the soulstealer as she sized up his frame. “I have some male clothing that I am sure will fit you.”

Phellan nodded and moved down the hall way she gestured towards. He didn't go into the bedroom but went to the bathroom. Happened the door and slipped in very quietly and cautiously and closed it with just as much silence. Phellan sighed as he took his cloak off and then started going through all the straps on his armor to take it off. He never did like taking his armor off since it left him feeling exposed, also it was such a pain to put on and off. His sword was strapped into the back of his armor so he didn't need to take that one off as he dropped his armor by the pool of water.
Phellan walked into the pool of water and relaxed as he sat down in it and let it come up to his neck. He was still very cautious of everything though. Phellan picked his armor up, piece by piece and started washing it thoroughly and then laid it down on the ground. When he was done with that he started washing himself off and his hair which now was plastered to his neck and back because of the water.

Ayvajin took the jewelry box with her as she went upstairs to gather up some clothing for Phellan. She slipped into her chambers, setting down the box before going to grab up the clothes for the soulstealer. She opened up a trunk that was at the foot of her bed and sorted through the clothing she had in there. She pulled out a white shirt, a pair of black pants, and all the other necessities.
Taking the clothing into her arms, the necromancer stood up and went back down the stairs. She went off to the guest room and sat the clothes down on the bed. She then went off to get a few towels before going to the guest bathroom.
“I set some clothes out for you on the bed,” Ayvajin said, opening the bathroom door slightly. She sat the towels down; her eyes staying away from the soulstealer to allow him his privacy. “Here are some towels for you.” Once the towels were in place, the necromancer left the room.

Phellan had his eyes closed as he was now relaxing in the water. He turned his head when the door opened up. "Thank you, very much." Phellan said truthfully to her. When she left Phellan stood up and got the towels as he tried his best not go get any water onto the floor. He wrapped himself in the towels and with the extra one he dried his armor off then wiped up the water he did get on the floor before leaving the bathroom and going to the bedroom.
Phellan laid the towels on the bed, folded, before laying his cloak down on the bed. He got dressed in the pants and the shirt. Phellan sighed as he felt vulnerable again and decided to just put on some parts of his armor. When he was done picking the parts he had the shoulder armor, gloves and boots on. he walked out of the guestroom and down the hall into the entrance hall.

“I am in here,” Ayvajin called from the kitchen. She had put a kettle upon the stove which was now starting to whistle. The necromancer moved to the kettle, taking it off of the burner. She set it down on a cool part of the stove before pulling out two cups and setting some tea leaves in both of them. She poured the hot water into the cups.
“I hope the bath was nice enough for you and I hope the clothes fit you well enough,” the necromancer said as she went about preparing the tea. She gave a gentle hum to herself as she went about preparing a bit of dinner.

Phellan followed her voice and went to the kitchen were he heard her call from and stood in the door way. She seemed relaxed and made Phellan frown, he was being over cautious and wondered if he should try to relax more. He nodded to her statements. "Yes, the clothes fit very nicely and the bath was very good. Thank you." He watched as she was preparing the tea. "Do you need help with anything?" He felt like he needed to pay her back, he was not a fan of staying in debt to someone else, or anything thing at all for that matter.

The necromancer sent him a smile and a shake of her head. “No, I can handle this,” she told him. “Just sit down and relax for a bit. You are a guest in my house, and I am the hostess.” Ayvajin set the two cups of tea onto the table before going back to the food which was soon done and then set on the table as well.
“Do not worry about repaying me,” the necromancer said as she sat down at the table, her eyes falling back onto the soulstealer. She could tell that he did not want to be in her debt, but she was being kind and giving to him. She hoped that he would simply accept the treatment.

Phellan nodded and went down and sat at the table. He fidgeted slightly since he wasn't use to just receiving. He nodded though he would find some way to repay her, for now he would just accept it though. His grey eyes looked at her. "I'm not used to just receiving stuff without me doing some work. I won't repay you for now though." In the sentence he made a promise and spoke the truth. His grey flecked eyes then looked at the food and tea on the table and it seemed all strange to him. He couldn't remember eating 'regular' food before.

“Have you ever had a woman before?” Ayvajin questioned with a laugh. “From what it seems like, you have not.” She made up a plate for herself before taking a sip out of her teacup. “A man should always have his own woman to be able to pamper him and take care of him. It would be a shame if you have never had that luxury.”
The necromancer took a bite out of her food as she thought for a moment. Her eyes scanned over the soulstealer. She could tell that he seemed a bit uncertain about eating a normal meal.
“It will get back some of your energy,” she told him. “You will have to do your soul hunting on your own.”

Phellan raised a eyebrow at her question and he laughed. "No i have not and have refused many offers. I do not wish to have one in my line of work since it could get very bloody and bad if they caught her."
He looked down and took a bite of some of the food and swallowed it. He took another bite of it and swallowed it again before he spoke. "You said theirs spirits out in the desert who are lost from the after life, right? If so maybe i could get some of them, normal food isn't very my style, sorry even though it's good." As if to prove it he took another bite and soon started eating for a long time without speaking.

Ayvajin gave a slight nod. “I would ask that you get your strength before going on your search of lost souls out in the desert. It is dangerous to get out in the desert without your strength.” The necromancer took another bite out of her food.
“Do as you please, though. I cannot truly stop you. I can only make suggestions. But when you do go, you are more than welcomed to come back to my house and stay. The guest room is open to you. I do not mind your company.”
The necromancer took a drink of her tea, sending a smile to the pirate.

Phellan smiled. "I will be wise and head your suggestion of getting stronger before going to the dessert for soul hunting. Seeing this is your home land though and you are close to the dead, do i have your permission to take the lost souls?" He was actually asking permission for once and that was a big shock.
He ate some more of the food and nodded. "Thank you for letting me be allowed back here, i appreciate what you are doing for me." he said sincerely and truthfully. "Why are you being so kind to me though? After all i pretty much killed your life on the passenger ship.

“I cannot stop you from taking the souls,” Ayvajin said softly. “I would rather have you not do it, but you must live. I understand that. As a necromancer, I cannot say openly that I would allow you to take the lost souls. Just take them, and I shall turn a blind eye.”
The necromancer took another sip from her tea, leaning back against her chair as she thought over her words. “I have told you before, I think. I do not hold grudges. I care for my friends and my enemies the same. Now, when I care for my enemies depends on the time. I take no offense to their actions during battles and the like, but once the battle has been over, I treat them kindly. Of course, I do not consider you my enemy.”
