The sun was high and the air was cool, and Glenn's funds where running low. It annoyed him at the lack of jobs he could find due to his low acclaim and him being picky on customers. His heavy booted feet tread the streets of another place looking through the streets eyes seemed to lock onto him. It may have been the fact that he was an almost fully armored man, but the fact that they stared played tricks on his mind made him hear things, things they didn't actually say but still he heard them believed them it saddened him. Why would they call him a 'Lonely lost soul' or other things along those lines. His hallucinations always able to pick at him find the things that would strum the chords of his heart and pain him the most. The figure that was armored in an iron breast plate and bracers along with him greaves and boots with the tan cotton under shirt and pants slumped over. Glenn simply shook his heart his mind was now telling him to grab that claymore on his back and simply end their words, but his mind told him it would be his end. Glenn paused placing his right hand over his face and slowed his breathing trying to quell the anger of his temper since he was in need of finding a job in this town he could not blow it not on some peoples words.

The little blonde girl tilted her head to the side as she watched the man curiously. She held her stuffed rabbit by an ear, letting him dangle down as she shifted on her feet, her childish innocence and nature taking over as she carefully made her way over to him.
He seemed to be upset, so she stopped in front of him, looking at him before speaking. Caitlyin had an air about her that seemed to draw people in to her innocence and made them feel better about themselves. And it didn't hurt that she was pretty, but that thought was always far from her mind.
"Are you alright?" she asked gently.

He slid the hand from his face opening his eyes only to see a pretty young lady staring at in the most peculiar manner, and using her soft voice to see if he was okay. Such sincerity and such innocence it even drove itself into this man's pain wrenched heart, and silenced the voices he heard. He stood up right completely feeling that the slouched posture was not very much so something he would want to display to the girl, and he gave her a nod. The steely brown eyes looked to hers and he gave a light grin smiling still a bit hard for him. Then the thin lips opened as the scarred man let out a light chuckle "Thank you.. I am fine.. and you?" He said trying to keep the thick bass filled voice low and friendly. He knew that some people would have been somewhat afraid of his appearance, and even his voice but in this case from just her words and appearance he wanted to at least try and be more of a person then usual. Though his sanity always a questionable factor as he began to hear them slightly beckoning in his mind those judgmental voices those paining words and it made him grimace a bit.

Violet eyes gave him a deceptively intent gaze as she watched him, shaking her head. "I'm fine. But why did you lie?" she asked, tilting her head to the side in the picture of perfect innocence as she watched him.
There wasn't much that scared the girl, after all her 'big brother' was a demon who pretended he was human for the most part. She smiled lightly before giggling at the thought, watching the man in front of her with curious eyes. She may have been sixteen, but for the world, she acted as if she were far younger than she actually was.

His face went blank for a moment it was as if she saw through him, and he simply shook his head letting off another light chuckle "Oh no... I am not lieing I am completely fine... why would you think otherwise?" he asked curiously. His eyes began to scan her her appearance the way she carried herself and even the manner of her words all so childish and innocent, but she was also quick and observant able to read him easily. This was something he found interesting, and worth finding out more of if not to hunt for a job in this place. His eyes vibrant now full of curiousity, and his lips curled just slightly, as he extended a right hand "Oh miss.. I am Glenn." He said nodding, it was the first time he ever introduced himself like this in a long time.

"Because big brother does the same thing," she said with a light giggle as she smiled at him. She pushed some hair out of her eyes as she watched him, the curiosity still around her.
When he introduced himself she giggled again before placing her much smaller hand in his. "I'm Caitlyin and this is Bun Bun," she said brightly as she held the rabbit up for him to see. Caitlying always treated the rabbit like it was a real person and would get rather upset if people took it, which usually led to a big mess and brother getting angry.
She shook the thought away and fixed this 'Glenn' with another bright smile before speaking again. "What do they say?" she asked, curiously.

He looked at her with slightly confused and narrowed eyes as he thought "Uhhh.. nice to meet you Caitlyn, and uhh.. Bun Bun.." He said the bunny being the more confusing one to say he was planning to skip it all together but this innocent aura urged him. He let out a sigh, and just shrugged "I don't know what you mean as to what they are saying anyone can hear them they say it loud enough always judging and staring how could you not hear them." he said shaking his head. It angered him the thoughts of the others the ones who judge him without even looking at themselves it all just pained him so deeply and only fueled more hate. Though those ill feeling still seemed to be calmed and covered by this one girls innocence it seemed to dull the edge of his soul ever so slightly in each word she spoke.

Cait shook her head, sending her blonde hair tumbling over her shoulders as she smiled again. "You're just like big brother. 'cept his tell him to kill everyone," she said with a shrug and a smile.
The girl was weird, there was no denying that fact, but everyone looked past it because of her innocence and childish nature. "And everyone stares and judges, it's in human nature. But it doesn't mean that it is a bad thing, silly. It is how we decide who we are going to trust and who we are going to play with," she said, giggling as she brought a hand up to cover cherry colored lips.

He was confused she spoke of what he heard as if he was the only one who heard it, but that was not possible it was their voices, and their stares matched it. He inhaled deeply, as he then shook his head "No.. they all do it they all have said one thing or another always something to try and strike me deep all of them thinking they are better then me... such scornful and hurtful words always.. never caring for how it may hurt, or if I may just turn my sword on them." He said feeling a heat of anger flush over him. It was the thought of all those words he heard all of the stares the treatment as if he didn't matter from all so far in his travels with the acception of this girl here.
He sighed shaking his head once more "I.. I am sorry that wasn't appropriate of me.." he said feeling a bit embarrassed by his outburst.

Caitlyin shook her head and patted his arm, much in the way a child would do when trying to comfort an adult. "If that is the case, then why would they do it? It seems an awful lot like they are looking for death," she said as she arched a delicate brow. "Besides, if we were all like that, would I have come over here?" she asked as she crossed her arms and looked like her sixteen years of age in that moment.
It was gone the next, an innocent smile on her lips. "Of course, there are always those that it will be true for, but most people here couldn't care less what you looked like, as long as you won't kill them or harm them. Or you're one of those nasty priests. They tend to hate everyone."

He listened to her words closely as a swift cool breeze blew through as if on call to try and cool his head even more shifting the locks of hair atop his head slightly. He small soft touch patting his arm the words soft and sincere, and all this from a girl who gave a feel that she was just a child though she looked not too much younger then Glenn himself. Once she had finished speaking and the breeze had made its pass he sighed "I.. but... the voices.. how can I just hear them.. It makes sense what you say but if you heard the like I did in all their scrutiny.. you would see they are there.." he said biting his lower lip a bit.

Caitlyin smiled again, shaking her head. "It counts when you separate what's in your head from what you know is really there. You want to think the voices are there, it gives reason to what you do. Big brother is the same way, although he has a much larger issue," she mused, a smile spreading over her lips as she spoke.
"It's not an easy task, not is it for everyone once they decide to live their life on their own. Then you actually have to own up to what you are doing and why," she said, patting his arm again.

He simply shrugged "I don't think there is much I can do now I have gone far to deep into this life, at least I feel I have. I am a very bitter and resentful person to those who are not human, or of human kin..." He said his head looking down to her feet. Glenn then let out one more light chuckle "But thus how I chose to live so far.. and thus why I may be someone people are unable to approach... with you as an acception." he said happily. This girl she seemed to light his soul up a bit make things seem better it was refreshing didn't make life seem as sour, and with that thought he could really smile.

Caitlyin smiled, patting his arm again. "There, see? That's not so bad. You should smile more and maybe you'll have more nice people around you," she said, tiliting her head to the side, the perfect picture of childish innocence.
Cait was tiny compared to him, then again she was tiny compared to most everyone, standing at only five foot three inches. She tilted her head back to look up at him, smiling again as she rocked back and forth on her feet, her hands clasped behind her back once more, her precious stuffed rabbit dangling behind her and bouncing off her legs.

He let out a small laugh the smile fading a bit as he shook his head "I believe that people still wouldn't like to be around me, and I still wonder why you are... I mean pretty girl like you can probably be in the company of anyone without complain." He said in a low tone. Glenn was unsure what his plan was here she was real pretty, but her childish actions made him feel far too guilty to make any advances, and though he needed to find a quick job she also seemed to make him feel a bit better about his situation, as well as the nagging in the back of his mind still telling him there was no way he was the only one that heard the voices they had to be real.

Caitlyin gave him a flat look from violet eyes, impatiently brushing a strand of hair back over her shoulder, crossing her arms in a childish huff. "You believe it because it makes you feel comfortable," she said, disregarding the last part of his statement. Big brother would throw a fit anyways, if he knew she was talking to someone else that he hadn't approved. "People would be around you, but you keep pushing them away all for some voices that are lying to you," she pointed out.
Uncrossing her arms, she shifted on her feet, tucking her beloved stuffed rabbit into a pocket on her dress, securing that he wouldn't fall out. "You probably just want to be lonely and have a reason to wallow in your own self misery," she said, watching him with perceptive eyes.
The girl may have acted like she was six, but there were times when she didn't, although the world was quick to forget her age, chalking it up to being younger than she was; Cait was fine with that.

He laughed lightly shaking his head "It makes my job all the easier.. killing always is when you have something to hate, and that hate to fuel your anger." He said nodding. It was true it was how it came so easily to just cut something down without a second guess though he did have one rule no women and no children.
He scratched his head a bit and then nodded "So Caitlin who is this big brother? And what kind of man is he that you compare us... well somewhat." he asked curiously. Glenn was never so curious on others but here and in this case he felt compelled to learn more of her and her situation in life.

Caitlyin looked at him for a long moment, seeming to weigh him with her gaze as she deemed whether or not she could tell him about Big Brother. Shrugging and turning her gaze skyward, she let a small giggle bubble over her lips.
"He takes care of me. Dunno where he came from, exactly," she said, smiling. "But I've known him for six years. Dunno what happened to my parents, exactly," she said again, smiling. Cait's past was a mystery to pretty much everyone except those who had been there. It was unclear if she just never remembered or if she didn't care, but either way she wasn't telling.
"And his voices yell mean things at him that get him upset. Then I usually cheer him up. Except when those nasty priests try to kidnap me, then Big Brother gets angry," she said, trailing off with a giggle.

Glen cracked a grin at the mention of parents, and simply let out a light laugh "Seems like we have similar pasts.. I know not my own parents but I was taken in by a stranger I call father.." he said. It was kind of interesting to see that they had such similar paths of life aside from her being so innocent, and him being a racist.
He let out a light sigh as he locked his eyes on her small figure "So Caitlyin why do these priests try to take you... I thought holy men where suppose help people." The last bit made him raise an eyebrow. He thought to himself carefully of what it really was, religion, he had never practiced or studied it only seen people preach it.

"Because they don't like big brother," she said simply. "They seem to think I'm under some sort of spell or something," she said, wrinkling her nose and wiggling her fingers, imitating an old wizard or witch. "And they're just mean. And they smell funny too," she said, referring to the fact that they often smelled like incense.
Cait giggled when she stopped her impersonation, bringing her hands to her lips, as if she were attempting to be polite. "And the only people they help are the ones that fit in their own little worlds," she said, a bit of malice fleeting across her features and gone just as quickly. "But I don't like talking about them, it makes me sad."
