The thief leaned into him, returning the kiss with all the gratitude and tenderness he showed her. Her arms snaked up around his neck and draped themselves down his back, holding him tightly. "Thank you," she repeated again against his lips. "You didn't have to."
And suddenly it hit her that with his fullfillment of her request, he was now free. Free to do what he pleased, when he pleased, as he pleased; he was free to kill her and leave. The thought filled her with dread, not because she was afraid to die (dance with it as many times as she had been since meeting him, and you sort of become desensitized), but because she had grown attached to having hima round. If he left now...what would she do?

The ancient djinn smoothed some hair out of her face before brushing his lips over her forehead, dark eyes watching her movements as he thought about various plans, silently communicating with Crow. There was no real threat to him anymore, Ro had no true magical power and he knew that she would keep her word.
He pulled back slightly, hands trailing down to rest on her waist, holding her as his fingers traced idle patterns. Dark eyes took in her features, studying her for a long moment before he spoke, deep voice rumbling in his chest. "Do you want me to stay?" he asked, more as a formality.
Either way, he would have ended up stalking the poor girl and threatening anyone who came near her. Of course, Crow would have long since given him away if he attempted that method.

His question made her vision blur and it hard to breath, and she briefly wondered if she was going to pass out. It was only when she realized that the reason she couldn't breath was because there was a lump in her throat and that her vision had gone blurry because her eyes were filled with tears. Was she crying?
Swallowing hard, she attempted a cheery smile that made her cheeks hurt. "I doubt I could get rid of you even if I didn't," she laughed, voice too high even to her own ears. "And..." her voice cracked. "...I kinda like you anyways."

Morpheus looked thoughtful for a moment before he nodded, a slightly rakish grin spreading across his lips. "True, there is that minor detail," he said, lowering his head to look at her, thumbs wiping away her tears. "You couldn't even if you tried," he whispered, kissing her softly before pulling away once again.
He smiled gently as he watched her, fingers smoothing her hair down before he kissed her forehead again, pulling back before his lips traced over hers. "And just "kinda like"? Should I be offended that you do not know for certain if you like me or not?" he teased gently.

Her lips turned down into a pout as she looked up at him. "I'd say the other thing if it didn't leave such a nasty taste in my mouth," she informed him primly, tugging on a strand of his hair lightly. "So just be grateful that I like you enough to cry, okay? Because this shit never happens," she added as she pointed to the tears rolling freely down her face. The fact that he wanted to stay lifted such a weight off her chest that she was surprised; she'd always thought if he ever got around to granting her wish, he'd leave immediately after either killing her or wiping her memory.
Her heart swelled with affection despite her words.

Morpheus chuckled before hoisting her up in his arms easily, the iron strength of the djinn holding her steady without any risk of falling as he looked at her in all seriousness for a moment before shaking his head with a laugh. "You are quite adorable, Ro," he said, smiling.
"But come, let's leave this place with the arcane magic. I have need to destroy it and set free the other djinn trapped here, which I can do from a distance if they were not already freed by his death," he said, his tone growing serious for a moment as Crow nodded and cawed his approval and agreement.

Her face burned red as she scowled at him. Always with the teasing, this one; if he kept it up, she was liable to believe him.
Looking around, Ro shivered at the thought of being in a house made out of djinn; it really was cruel how people treated them when they were slaves to their own power themselves. Whoever had made them had a sick sense of humor to create being as powerful as Morpheus himself and then bind them into the servitude of others. That was why she hated giving out her true name to anyone: once they had your name, they had your soul. She nodded. "Let's go."

Morpheus flashed a deviant grin, one that hid a hint of malice in it as well at the thoughts going through his mind before taking a step forward. It happened in a flash, they were suddenly merely strolling down the street in Temarra, him cradling Ro in his arms as there was a slight heatwave from where they had emerged that disappeared all too quickly. The house was destroyed and there was a faint sound to only the djinns' ears of the others being freed.
The ancient djinn merely tilted his head down to kiss Ro, pulling back with a slight smile on his face. "You are adorable and at the same time, quite beautiful, now stop blushing," he said with a rakish grin on his lips.

"I would if you'd stop looking at me like that," she breathed, huffing ever so slightly as it caught in her throat. His gaze was returned full force, but now was not the time to be giving eachother hunger looks-in public no less. She clambored out of his arms, swaying ever so slightly as she was hit with a slight wave of nasuea, then steadied. The glances she cast around them were nothing short of paranoid. "His comrades will be wondering what happened," she said. "And probably come looking for us if they catch your magic trail. We have to move now before anyone gets curious."
Call it cowardice or paranoia, but what ever it was had kept her alive twenty whole years and it hadn't failed her yet. The fact that they still had the cover of night helped, and her mind whirled with all the things that might go wrong, no longer paying the djinn any mind.

Morpheus grinned before pulling her back to him, arms wrapped firmly around her waist. "They do not know my name, Ro, and do you think I had not taken care of that before I was summoned? I am after all, old enough to have built this city," he said with a dry chuckle as his lips brushed over the shell of her ear as he spoke.
"And all trace of what he was working on was destroyed as well. Your name is not known and you are really quite safe from most everything," he said, his deep voice rumbling through his chest against her back as his fingers traced small patterns on her hips.
"Except me," he said as he spun her around, lips connecting against hers in a sudden but passionate kiss before transporting them to the safety of an Inn room.

She gasped and swallowed hard as she listened to him, the words barely registering in her now foggy brain. His touch always sent warm electric shocks up and down her spine, warming her to her very core. The ringleader of her old circus told her, shortly before banishing her, that sometimes the gods would create people who were meant just for someone else, but often times they never met due to things outside their control. War, death, time...these were major factors in this little game known as Fate and Destiny, and while she didn't believed in the latter, it was becoming increasingly obvious that Fate was having a hell of a time playing with her. After all, no one else had set her off the way Morpheus did, so maybe she'd been made just for him and he'd had to wait a few thousand years for her to exist?
It would explain why she'd survived and her parents hadn't.
Ro had just leaned back into his touch when she felt the world shift around her and suddenly they were in an Inn (probably the one she'd meant to meet him at), and he had her locked into one of the most intense kisses he'd ever given her. It stole her breath away and made her heart race, and all she wanted was more.

Morpheus grinned, easily pinning Ro against the wall as his fingers explored her body again, bringing forth all those sounds that he delighted in, much like a child with a new toy. He wanted to find out exactly what she liked and what produced the best sounds out of her.
His head ducked down as he nipped at her jawline, then her neck then back up to the shell of her ear before catching her lips in a dizzying kiss once more. The djinn's fingers in the meantime had been keeping busy by tracing the outline of her body, pressing them close together as his fingers interlaced with hers and pulling her hands up so they rested on his shoulders.

"Wait," she moaned into his ear and clenched the fabric of his open shirt in her tiny hands. She didn't sound too convincing at the moment, and this was further illustrated when she arche dinto his touch, body already on fire. "Morp-Jarlaxle," she corrected at the last moment just in case she accidently bound him to her again. Blue eyes forced themselves open as she sought some sort of excuse to stop him before they ended up in a sweaty heap on the floor (which sounded rather appealing the more she thought about it). "D-did you even pay for this room?" she stuttered at last, still quite unable to bring herself to stop him.

He gave her a flat look that distinctly told her he'd taken care of all loose end and yes, he had paid for the room. "Is there anything else that you need to know?" he asked, pulling back enough so that there was some space between them.
Morpheus knew that she was behaving herself for the time being and did actually want him around and to bed him. Call it cocky, but one doesn't live for over forty thousand years and be wrong about these sorts of things. After all, djinn were supposed to be very persuasive, weren't they?

Cocky bastard, she thought as she looked up at the smug look in his eyes. Her hands came up to rest themselves against his shoulders, indicating her need to put some distance between them without pushing; even if she did, he wouldn't budge anyways. "I nearly die again and all you can think about is jumping me? By the gods, this was your fault! Have some self control, will you?" Ro whined mockingly, eyes gleaming as she regarded him.
Oh sure, she wanted him, but now really wasn't the time for hot 'I-so-glad-you're-okay' sex. For all his posturing, even the most powerful beings were susceptible to making mistakes. Besides that, he may have healed her wounds but she was still suffering from the weakness that came with blood loss; if he was going to get any, then she was going to sleep through it.

Morpheus grinned, mind already reading her thoughts before he moved against her and leaned next to her, whispering in her ear. "Did you think that I forgot and was actually going to seduce you? Tsk, tsk," he said, nipping at her ear before effortlessly carrying her to the bed.
He lay her down on it, a touch gentler than would be expected before retreating across the room to sit in a chair, his favorite position as he started a fire in the fireplace, letting the room warm. He steepled his fingers in front of his face as his dark eyes glowed with a hint of red, watching his new 'charge' with an amused smirk on his face.

Her glare never wavered. "You know, if I didn't already have an idea, I'd still think you thought of me as some kind of pet who's here to entertain you," she said dryly as she sat crossed legged on the bed, watching him from across the room. Except for the red glow of his eyes, one could almost take him as human-he was certainly cocky enough. But then again, most beings with far too much time and power on their hands were like that anyways, so it'd be easy to mistake him for an elf or something if he had the required features (the thought of himw ith pointy ears made her snicker, but she promptly forced it down in case he noticed).
Either way, she recognized the possesiveness in his gaze and scowled at him even more. "I'll knock that look off your face if you don't lose it now," she warned him; she didn't belong to anyone except herself.

The djinn's grin just widened, he was intentionally invading her mind at the moment. "Hush and go to sleep, Ro," he said, arching an eyebrow. "Or I'll put you to sleep and you will have some very...interesting dreams," he said, an impish grin curving his features upwards.
"And no, I won't be an elf in them," he said, indicating that he knew her thoughts as he shifted in the chair, eyelids sliding shut as one leg crossed over the other, ankle on knee and elbows on the armrests of the chair.
It was a rather nice room, if one cared to look but for the djinn, it was all the same since he didn't spend too much time on the human plane.

She matched him look for look. "Then I'll have to go liberate myself," she smiled sweetly, knowing full well that he wouldn't like that. Well, that is if she ever woke up from these 'dreams' he was threatening her with. A shudder shot through her; the man had almost as many contacts as she did, and the thought of him sending an incubis or succubus after her was, well, disturbing. She rather liked having her dreams undisturbed. "I almost wish you were still bound to me so you couldn't look at my thoughts, " she added. "The privacy was a godsend."

Morpheus chuckled, shaking his head at her. "Go to sleep," he said, his eyes blinking open as they locked on hers. They seemed to swirl with power, almost as if the room were disappearing and everything was boiling straight down to the djinn's eyes.
It was a simple spell, designed just to get them to fall asleep. From there, her body would keep her asleep as it mended itself and allow him time to rest on the djinn plane as well as recuperate and get to know everything else he needed to and wanted to know about the wizard and what the wizard had done.
