Rosemary Jazebeth Greenbottom
Nickname:
Rose
(To Fred: “Hey, woman!” She isn’t too fond of this nickname.)
Age:
56
Gender:
Female
Race:
Gnome
Hails From:
Cascentra
Weapons:
A butcher knife that she seems to have on her at all times. It hangs at the band that is always fastened around her waist.
Abilities:
Being a mother of a large family has caused Rosemary to be very adaptable. She is a wonderful cook, able to fix up more than just dinner. She has had her time at creating herbal remedies. The gnome even has better white magic abilities than most other gnomes. She also has a bit of earth magic, but she tended to leave the gardening up to her husband.
In her youth, Rosemary had been known as a bird talker. Later in life now, she has found the ability to communicate with other animals more affectively. Which makes life just a bit easier with dealing with rabbits and the like who were constantly getting into the garden.
Companions:
The only companion worth mentioning would be her laze about, grumpy husband. She loved him to death, but every once in a while it would have been nice for the man to actually listen to her.
Occupation:
House wife, Gardener, Cook
Appearance:
Even at the age of fifty-five, Rosemary was still an enchanting gnome to behold. She stands at about a foot and a half in height. Her skin is rather tanned from working out in the yard during the summer months and also from picking the vegetables from the garden. Her eyes are a vivid green. When she was younger, her hair had been completely black, but due to age (and stress) her black locks had lightened up and started the gray and turn white.
Her body had worn down a bit as well. She had acquired motherly hips over the years, which she thought should have lightened up her husband’s grumpy demeanor. Her hands were worn as well from cleaning and cooking. Scars from burns and cuts show on her aging hands as well.
The gnome tended to wear simple dresses made out of fabrics colored in dark browns, dark greens, and shades of lavender. The dresses that she wore tended to have long sleeves and skirts that went down to her feet. A thick band of tanned leather was usually seen around her waist with various items hanging down upon it.
Personality:
Rosemary is a very bubbly woman with a firecracker personality. When she laughs, she laughs full heartedly. When she yelled, she simply screamed. She gets pleasure out of taking care of her children and now her grandchildren.
She takes complete joy out of simple things in life. Rosemary loves the smell of a fresh pumpkin pie and of feasts served at the end of the week. She enjoys dancing and singing as well.
The gnome is a very loving and caring woman deep down inside, despite how her husband makes her seem.
History:
At the young age of sixteen, Rosemary was married to her husband Fred. Soon afterwards, she was pregnant with their son, Pepin. She found motherhood to be most rewarding even if her husband complained about the baby constantly crying. After Pepin, she had another boy, Baden. After Baden, they had a daughter, Jasmine. Then, came another son, Kaden, and then another daughter, Olisa.
Rosemary loved taking care of the large family. She loved cooking for everyone, cleaning for everyone, reading books to the children, taking them out for walks in the forest, and teaching them about herbs and gardening. She had saddened when they had all grown old and all ended up moving out of the house. That’s when Baden came back to the house to stay with Fred and her with his six children and his wife. This had thrilled the gnome to death that she would get to play mother dearest once more.
Rosemary now enjoyed her time by spending it with her grandchildren and teaching her daughter-in-law all she could about cooking and taking care of home. She also often fought with the old man of the house, but it was sometimes enjoyable. She really did not know what she would do without him, though. Her romantic love only went to Fred. If he would leave her, she was sure she would crumble.
